I thought I wanted thick locs so I put 26 of them in my head. Well, I felt oppressed 😂. Couldn't do anything with them so I combed them things out and installed 454 micro locs. I don't regret it one bit. Best hair decision ever!! That look I was going for with thick ones was instantly accomplished with my micro locs. I would of had to wait for a while before those thick ones did what I needed them to do. Anywho, I still love them on others!!

Good advice! A lot of what you say is true for locs of all sizes. I started with 96 locs and a month later combed them out and established 212 locs. They are not so tiny and tedious as 400 locs and I told myself I could combine them if 212 was too many. Almost 2 years later and you are right about “trust your instincts “and “if you think you’re going to like …locs, you will”! Love your vibe and your channel ❤

I just started mine on my own 2 months ago on Halloween using the two-strand twist method. This is my second set and I have 58 locs this time around. I intentionally went with bigger parts with this set to achieve thicker locs, but that’s just one of a few reasons why I started over. I’m much happier with this second set and am excited to see my thick locs mature! I don’t regret it one bit and don’t think I ever will. Your locs are really pretty!! I love when I find other black women with thick locs producing hair content so thank you for it!!!!! Also, things I like about having thick locs are just the look of them in general as I’ve always been more drawn to thicker locs & spending less time retwisting my hair is another plus! 😎🤎✨
