It’s why, especially us Barca fans would rather witness a fantastic display of football and determination on the pitch and lose. People can call us crazy and losers all they want, but we don’t care. How we play is the most important thing at this club.
@@Crispy_DAWG only true fans of beautiful football can truly understand this type of mentality… unfortunately, most consider that as a petty excuse. I mean, it’s the same in life. You don’t always win. Life is not all about mountain tops. The valleys are just as important as the mountain tops in giving meaning to life. “Win or lose, did you make the most out of it and learn something?” Is the question. If yes, then you didn’t really lose, did you?
It's not the fact that Barca supporters like a particular style of play and would prefer it even with bad results that other fans (including myself) have a problem, it's them claiming that is the 'right' or 'beautiful' way of playing or supporting. There are multitudes of ways to play and visions for a club. All are right, as long as there is no foul play involved. That's the real point
@@neerajnambudiri9971 I kinda agree with you and as far as I am concerned, I much prefer Klopp football over the Barca style. This said, I also can kinda relate to what their philosophy is because the thinking behind it is kinda the same here in Dortmund. Clubs like Real or Munich are all about winning trophys, no matter how you do it (probably also why they are way more successfull than their competition). Barca and BVB want to win with style. And especially looking at Dortmund, Terzic isn't critizised so much about their table position or that they lost against Atletico, but for the way they often play even when winning (and that first half at Atletico was absolutely horrific)
Yeah, normally it does, but earlier today they were an entire fiasco. It was as if a small child lost their grandparent in a small crowd, then found him, and then then lost him again. Honestly y’all were pathetic
Ti Ti with the simple yet so profound quote "The ball is faster than the player" I wish people like Marcus Rashford and Anthony would have this mentality
Did people forget that for a time, Italy was the one churning out world class managers? Herrera, Capello, Lippi, Mancini, Conte, Ancelotti. Netherlands did too with Rijkaard, Van Gaal, Cruyff. As time goes, era gone by, shift in playstyle, 2007 gave birth to Pep Guardiola, from there, it became the time for Spain.
It is based on a lie that only Pep Guardiola fulfilled. Barsa wants to match Madrid as it is the greatest in history, a league was held with a 1-0 record with its best player the goalkeeper and everyone loved it and Xavi loved that league and his fans seeing it like one of the most exciting leagues.

Honestly straight up, 2009-2014 Barcelona changed football forever and showed the world that centering your tactics around keeping the ball is incredibly effective. We’re just seeing the aftermath of that. Everyone wants to play possession and managers who played in leagues that have a history of possession are heavily sought after.
Effective and extremely utterly boring. In fact, even pep has seen the flaws in that system and actually focuses more on the importance of a CF than he did before
He's a little dry, and serious - some might say pedantic - but let's not forget 1) English is still a struggle for him, so he has to concentrate and stay focused 100% of the time, unlike the other three Brits on this show, who can shoot from the hip, and 2) this punditry is his third career (player first, and then/now coach). You can see that during the show, when Jamie and Bug Meeks and Kate are cracking jokes that fly right above TH's head (judging by his facial expression).
Hahahahaha, no way. Spanish football is the best because here we play football and in other countries like UK people play something similar to rugby, lots of run, tackles and intensity but football is about the ball and only in Spain we understand that.
@@XXBlueThanosXX Balde is still a gem for barça but hes injured, and Pedri can shine anytime he wants barring the injuries but atleast he aint a snake
The worst thing to happen to football unfortunately. It started after Spain won three trophies back to back. 08,10,12. That is how Guardiola got to be a legend. And all the other teams started playing back passes, small passes, keeping possession. Now it just gets tiring watching the same style performed by numerous teams.
@@ornobislam5106 There's almost no focus on good defending, except in the context of attack and this fixation with playing out from the back with minimal long balls is taking away variety from the game. It's just a bunch of passing triangles everywhere. Don't get me wrong it gets us exciting football with high scoring matches but everyone wants to play that way now (and hire coaches with that DNA)
@@TheDYNAMITE001 yes, players have stopped taking risks, no more surprise shots, dribbling past players. Its all about minus passes now. Players dont even run with the ball now. I hate football now. Maybe i am being nostalgic, but the creativity is being killed off in this monotonic play.
1:30 "It's like a mission to be able to make people enjoy what they're doing. Whether it's the fans or the people on the field or the coach: you have to enjoy what you're doing. That is why at Barcelona, when you win, you need to win well." I'm really glad Titi, even if he wasn't there for long, understood EVERYTHING about being a proper culé. That's EXACTLY how we think and that's how we like to win. Visa Barça collons!!! ❤❤💙💙❤❤💙💙❤❤💙💙❤❤💙💙
It’s always been the mentality. Sadly, not everyone understands it nor appreciates it. If you look at the comments from many Barça fans in Twitter/X, you can see the disappointment when Barça wins but plays horribly. There’s no joy. Even when we won double in 18/19 but the team was not playing the true Barça DNA, fans were dissatisfied. So the league win last season really was pure satisfaction. Played Barça football and won well. They have to go hand in hand.
Pep, Luis Enrique and Xavi all played together a few seasons. Then Pep coaches Xavi (2 champion leagues), Then Luis Enrique coaches Xavi (1 champions league), while beating Pep’s BM in the playoffs. Love all the barcelona connections.
Something nobody discusses enough is Donnarumma. It seems he makes at least 1 really bad clearance or pass out from the back that leads to a goal against in ucl knockouts. The man is a liability and somehow plays like he's 5'1.
All the commentators still seem inclined to try to give him credit too “unlucky” or “does well to get a touch” and he completely missed the ball on the goal line clearance occasion from the corner. It’s pretty insane. He moves so slow and cannot use his feet. Just a huge clumsy guy in my opinion.
very true. if you wanna win in barca you gotta win well. I just dont wanna win. I wanna win like smth unusual, humble everything!! barca fans players coaches everyone has same mentality i guess
It's nothing to do with pride. Management asked Xavi to announce his resignation rather than outright firing him. That was when the team seemed to be on a downward spiral. It's funny how everyone (including the fans) seemed to be okay with the decision to let him leave until now when he's having back to back wins. I love barce and I'd love it if Xavi stayed, but we have shitheads who run the club and they are terrible people so I wouldn't blame him if he left
I think Spanish coaches who are successful are the Spanish coaches that excel not just in the la Liga but also out side Spain..so pep is the coach that has proven his worth ..now it's xabi Alonso at Leverkusen..
@@manny6669 yup but his coaching was developed at Barca's academy. People forget that enrique was one of the best Barca B coaches ever and was one of the main reasons he was chosen as barca coach against all odds.
Say what you want about xavi as a Barca fan or neutral this dude leaves and gets a new job offer real quick. No lie he's a solid coach this isn't Steven Gerard or Frank lampard. This guy can coach and will be a top candidate for some teams out there definitely not the big big teams like a Liverpool but still
you might disagree but I think he can be a candidate for top clubs he had many injuries this year and could buy him a quality cdm for instance hence why he uses Christensen as a cdm and why used cubarsi
@@christosm2133 no I don't disagree with you but Liverpool you going from kloop to xavi doesn't make sense only because you need someone unproven if you throw xavi in if he struggles he'll be compared to kloop you need a fresh coach the ownership is just figuring it out if they struggle. Same with a United they are dysfunctional and that situation wouldn't do anyone good . Now can he coach at a high level absolutely and the Barca fans wanting him out didn't look at the situation fully. He should stay but he wants less drama and big clubs bring drama especially when you have a culture of winning already. Like you look at Alonso he wins his first chip this year that's seen as amazing because it Leverkusen now if he at bayarn he should win it because it's Bayern
Terzic is actually decent. May not have the popularity and pedigree like the others, but i genuinely think he has done relatively well with dortmund. I don’t think he can achieve much more with dortmund, but i think he's one of those coaches that would make your club a very competitive team. I would put him in the same category as marco rose and lucien favre tbh.
I think it’s all about a type of development Barcelona started, it’s not just to play well but to play smartly on the pitch, if you teach players to think it’s only a natural transition to see former players becoming world class coaches, because they really know how to play from a tactical point of view, inside and outside the field. I love the Premier but without Spanish coaches it would be a more simpler game that doesn’t work anymore
Barcelona is a club of sweet dreams. they play the right way, which is the best way, and when done right. it’s called beautiful football “mas que un club” we are more then just a club it’s a way of living
Spain has a culture that has conceptually worked out the actual game of football on a far smarter level.... They value understanding playing the game, not measuring to collect data and pretend to know the game...
There is another manager, you can call him the godfather of this generation of Spanish coaches. I'm talking about Vicente Del Bosque. The man who coached the Galacticos, adjusting tactics almost every game, and who brought Spain's golden age of football with a World cup and Euro cup doing the same.
Look at Eric Ten Hag with Man-U, give him (Xavi) time to build. Isn't the best but his team isn't in relegation and they're still building. They're still playing topflight football.
@@poweroftheriffhis first season don’t count he came in half so it’s only been 2 n won la liga the following season last season he was okay this year more injuries but he still has the team On top
I personally love the Enrique era more than Pep era, No doubt Pep was a tactical mastermind but Enrique had the job of managing and allowing great names to flow with their game at Barca
We always tell other fans from other teams that Barca has and still contributing a lot in football as a whole from cultivating top class players from their Academy and even the Coaches, but what they tell us is how broke Barcelona is,but their rich clubs have not yet matched what broke Barca has done for football as a whole.Which club plays the 16,17,18,19 year olds at a bigger stage like Champs league from their Academy? How many players have Barca sold to other big teams groomed from LaMasia? You can't talk about the history of Pep,Enrique,Arteta,Koeman, to mention a few without Barca's name popping up.Which club has ever produced the best football player in the planet from their Academy?....the answer is Barca
@@TaskForce_911Such internal politics are there in many nations but the same politics is kept aside for nation unlike the case of Britain, Scotland etc Catalan & Basque players (Xavi, Busquets, Pep, Xabi Alonso etc) played their best for Spainish National Team despite sectarianism . Spain's sectarianism doesn't have them even disliking Spain let alone hate.
@@TaskForce_911 i know their internal politics. It is pointless to refer to these coaches as non Spanish when they have a Spanish nationality and represent their teams. They are Spanish by law.
@@kothicamedarth2680 True you have to keep politics away from Football but in Spain it's an entirely different case. Barcelona is the symbol of Pro Catalonia and stands for the independence of Catalonia. It's thus defined as a "Mes Que Un Club" or more than a Club. What makes the El Clasico so epic is two teams, once which was supported by the Spanish regime (the current King is a big Supporter of ATM) and seen as the top example of true Spain's epicenter of Pro Spanish Nationalism, also the best club in the world vs Barca's Catalonia. Whoever loses in the match in between them, suffers a huge wrath from not only their Nationalistic supporters but also via through their own respective biased media. There's also politicism which is played inside within both the clubs so you literally can't say Politics doesn't exist in Football especially when it comes to Spain Ngl we all know at this point the likes of Xavi, Pep, Pique, Pep have all played for Spain but in the end all support the Free Independent state of Catalonia. Xavi himself was vocal about it when separatist Catalonia leaders were imprisoned but at the end of the day I don't see the likes of Pep, Xavi managing Spain NT at all
Meanwhile England ex players becomes flops in coaching and later join pundits and keep calling for team managers to be sacked eg jamie caragher and gary Neville 😂😂
A small resume, from Galicia, Spain : Guardiola is a good friend of Cruyff. Luis Enrique is a good friend of Guardiola. Guardiola took Cruyff´s style a little further. Arteta, Emery and Xabi Alonso are from Gipúzkoa. Xabi Alonso and Arteta learned from Guardiola, one in City, the other one in Bayern. Xavi learned from Guardiola, and also from Luis Enrique. Xavi played with Guardiola and Luis Enrique, under Van Gaal (similar style), and Rexach. At the time? Arteta was in Barça B. Just after that, Henry become a Barça player, and played with Xavi, under Rijkaard, similar style, and La Masía working under that style. The only different, is Emery. Or Lopetegi, and some others, that are from Gipúzkoa. The same as Xabi Alonso and Arteta. Emery played with Imanol Alguacil, current Real Sociedad coach. Barcelona and Gipúzkoa are two hard workers provinces, I would say.
Hoping that Mbappe leaving PSG to Madrid with a Champions League trophy is like hoping your wife leaving you with half your stuff for her highschool crush has a great life
Im a Real fan and I thought that the Xavi criticism earlier this year was ridiculous. He trains with a handicap because management did and continues to do bad financial decisions outside the pitch that limits his player options. And of course injuries to key players like Gavi and Pedro.
