Hi, my dear! I wore it the other day and this mans said that I smell like chocolate. He said I smell good. I work at a casino so I can get away with these scents. I love me loud perfumes, Angel, Alien, Tom Fords, Chanels. U name it!!!
Will.never be anything like Angel. Never smelt anything so beautiful and unique! It's like something from another galaxy literally! Men seem to like it too and I got asked out for a second date before purely on the basis of this smell haha
Brilliant review! Angel is definitely a polarising fragrance, and I agree with you in saying that the 90s was a wonderful era of perfumery and perhaps my favourite, too. One of my favourite fragrances of all time is Chloe Narcisse, a bombastic 90s oriental floral that is just heavenly. What are your thoughts on it?
+Alcoholic Nun I really like that one. I will be reviewing it at some point as I now have a sample. It reminds me of my best friend when we were younger. She has the older formula which was a beast but the new one is still cool I think. I need to wear it a few times to get to know it again though before I review it. :)
I totally agree. The Liqueur version is literally TO..DIE...FOR! I adore it. I find the taste of fragrance one to be the driest smelling one when it's dry on the skin. Much darker..that cocoa powder gives it a slightly darker twist, where the liqueur one is rich. It's alllll about the Liqueur one. It makes the original angel smell slightly empty. Like somethings missing..(But of course I still love it) I love all three. :)
One of my favourites I love it! So many compliments with this and when I tell people what I am wearing most always say I hate that perfume even though they have just giving me a compliment on it ! Always try it on your skin and remember so different when it's in the air ,:)
I received the sample of Angel and at first spray, for my not trained nose, it smelt like honey, I did not like it at first but now that it has dried down, it's a bit more ....I don't even know what the correct terminology is but i smells like burned sugar, I like it now I think lol
Thank you. I think the reason that there hasn't been a Womanity Liqeuer version is becasue they were released in 2007 and Womanity didn't get released until 2010. I have tried the Alien Liqeuer too and would love to get my hands on a bottle. grr. I only had a sample. I will forever love the Liqeuer version of angel its just too beautiful.

I just sprayed myself with a bottle of Angel I bought in 2010 and it’s absolutely divine 🌈 The liquid has darkened and it just altogether smells stronger

Yes! Liqeuer is the best! I also have samples of all of the garden of stars fragrances, I just recently used my Rose one, I'm yet to try yhe others out. I don't know if Liqueur will be beaten by any of those though...it's too stunning. :)
I'm in love with Angel Liqueur de Parfum and it is replacement of angel since the drydown of Angel is quite soft for me I also have Angel The Taste Of The Fragrance however it loses my interest after the cacao powder fades away Angel also have a collection of flakers call garden of stars which sadly discontinued, Violet Angel is my favorite in the collection
Very helpful video! I'm starting to warm up to Angel a bit, after being firmly in the Dislike camp. Coincidentally, I just got a decant of the Liqueur in a swap, & I'm really enjoying it. I'm very curious to try the TOF edition now. I've also just tried the Liqueur version of Alien, which is yummy, too. It made me wonder why there wasn't a Womanity Liqueur? I bet that would be awesome. :)

I have it from last year the Angel and i think it smells kind of differently like it's (old) why is this? I keep them in a draw i live in Greece, have i ruined my perfume? Love your reviews so far, thank you

A friend of mine were talkling the other day about Mugler and her sister walks in and says to me "You like Angel perfumes? I have this unopened box I was gifted but I can't stand the original and do you want it" I was like sureeeeeeeee and the next day she gives me this box of Angel Liqueur de Parfum" I was so giddy I could have just about danced across the room to take it from her. Then she takes me over to a closet full of perfumes. I swear it was like being lead into the Emerald city of Oz you just didn't know where to look first. Honestly I too love this much more then the original and cannot wait to plot some Fall outing around this scent. Oh my God it's so... I think I need a Irish cable knit sweater and plaid for this...
I scored x 2 Liqueurs and x 1 Taste of, based on a bit of research cinched by your review (subscribed) at seriously good prices. I was was one of those traumatised by the OG Angel years ago. I foolishly sprayed it on myself and even though, I was told it smelt nice on me; I couldn't scrub my dermis hard enough to get it off. Now, I am quite confused that these two flankers have the same vein, yet; I find them absolutely orgasmic. It's funny how a few additions to fragrances can change one's perspectives.
Love you and your reviews....not sure of your sources but those are not the notes in Angel at all. There's no floral at all. No coconut or raspberry…no musk. It is a gourmand 👍
+nycartist9 Hello! Thanks SO MUCH! Well..I see conflicting note lists all over the place. This particular list I got from Fragrantica. Most say there is Jasmine and Orchid. But..it's a complex fragrance isn't i t? A gourmand can certainly still have floral notes in it, it just means that the main character is something foody/edible. In this case...the chocolate/caramel. :)
Really great video You are so lucky to have both of "Liqueur de Parfum" and "The Taste Of The Fragrance" I wasn't fortunate enough to try them, I've never ever saw them in stores here I've got Angel, it is sweet, innocent and kinda powdery, I like it a lot but I love A*men a lot more :D
I love the way you describe angel because this is how my first bottle smelled like, unfortunately the bottle I have now is so different due theirry mugler being bought by the L'Oréal group and reformulated 💔
Yes, it can definitely be overpowering, I think though as long as it's worn correctly it will be fine. The EDT version would be a great option also, it's lighter and fresher.
Before I continue to watch what you say about this scent I want to make my own guess on the notes. I smell pineapple that is the most pronounced note that jumps at me. It's amazing ohhh. White chocolate. A little bit green apple. Blue Lotus. Orchid. Raspberry. Rose. Labdanum.
Angel will always be a conundrum. The main note is patchouli. It's a leafy green earthy smell, but Mugler did something crazy by adding foody notes, and berries to it. I personally think it's a breakthrough and weird thing, but it's magic! Smell patchouli on it's own and you will get the core of this perfume. :)
I finally got my hands on a bottle of the liqueur version yesterday and I am in love with it, very woody and smooth!! I also have the "taste of parfum" version as well, but I find that that version is the darkest, muskiest version and I can only pull it off in the dead of winter. It actually turns a little balmy/animalic on my skin.
These three and the fragrance of leather version are my all time most prized and loved perfumes in my collection. Have you tried the leather version? The leather is actually really pronounced in it which surprises me because I couldn’t tell *too* much difference between the taste of fragrance, the parfume liqueur, and the original.
Oh really? cool! I have smelled the leather versions of both Angel and Alien and both had very prominent leathery feelings at the beginning but then both faded into the original formulas. Still really cool...I should dig out my samples maybe hehe.

As much as you want to be different and interesting with scents (from others) - I found this when it was released (for the wife) and I must say hands down Angel Liqueur is probably the best fragrance I have every smelled. Ever! To this day! Years later it still performs - it's actually a fragrance that I'm not sure why I don't get it for myself- Peace
there is an Angel Original dupe and its just $ 1.30 for 3ml super long lasting oil called Al Rehab Crystal, slightly less on the patchouli but thats all.
Oh great!!! So you got the blue bottle? I'm not sure there's much difference in them from what I've read. But the Liqueur one? Oh yeah...it's great! I feel like it's how angel is supposed to be haha.
yep x3 I was only gonna buy the blue one alone but I looked and saw that the silver 2013 one and thought it might be sweeter do to all the sweet candy notes and bought that too, but I'll give an update if they're different when they come in the mail, I cant wait to try them
I just bought this thinking I was purchasing the angel perfume(newer one) so when I took it out the box I say "this is not the one" lol! I sprayed it and it is for sure a unique smell for a perfume..im not digging it so much..it is the longest lasting out of ALL my perfume collection for sure but I guess it has to grow on me(smell idk).. I can't take it back cause it's opened so I'll probably mix it with one of my other perfumes when wearing it,perhaps with a sweet one like fancy or daisy
I’m probably going to get some flak for this but I have some Tom Ford Black Orchid, Velvet Orchid, and TM’s latest Angel formulation and I kept smelling all 3 of them and they are quite similar. Of course the Black Orchid had that pronounced mushroom earthy smell and supposedly Velvet Orchid doesn’t have patchouli in it but I smell it. Tom Ford’s are a little deeper and less loud but with the orchid and gourmand they are quite similar.
Angel Liqeuer is in my opinion far better. It is even better than the original angel. The taste of fragrance one is more chocolately and has a kinda dirtier dry down, like the patchouli is a lot more prominent. It's less sweet also. The liqueuer one is beautiful, richer, woodier and feels like a much more wearable version of Angel. It's great!!! I'm talking here about the one in the dark blue bottle. I haven't tried the newer version in the silver bottle so i can't say if it's better or not. :)
Xozzen It's really up to the individual...Angel can be very controversial and it's really up to you. I wear it and think it's fine. If you have the confidence to try it out? then go for it!! It is one of the strongest perfumes out there though so..I would probably test it out first. :)
I just tried it, it is really really strong and seems kind of powdery to me, but maybe I will get a small bottle or even miniature to wear it some time. It is definitely a very interesting one.
When it matches with your own chemistry Angel is sharper than A Men. Do give it a try with a small size but you'll certainly go later for a big one. I'm never without it. Been wearing for the last three decades.
I just bought this. Wore 45 minutes, it did keep changing, people said wow! ( light blue box) 2 days later i only had it on 5 minutes, went into a store. It did fill the store and 2 people told me i smelled like Indian House Blessing airfresher lol Incense. Grapes, purple smell lol
dreamgirls12 Hello! I've really gone back and forth with this one and ALMOST purchased it so many times. I like that it smells like salty figs. It's so super strong too which I like. But something puts me off..I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it's the "salty fuzziness" it has underneath. :)
I tend to like more calm creamy peaceful perfumes , when I tested in Jerusalem it was really awful I smelt a stinking fish maybe because of the caviar note , from Thierry Mugler three famous fragrances I just loved and adore Alien , I just love the edgy tender Jasmine in it , and I had Jasmine shrub ( tree) long ago it was heaven to set close to it in summer nights .oooh Alien brings precious memories to me .
dreamgirls12 I also much prefer Alien too. :) I think it's such a gorgeous creation considering it only has 3 notes! I have a few versions of it too and all are great. I still prefer the original though. :)
They smell very different, although both have a gourmand/sweet/foody feeling. Pink sugar is full on marshmallow fluffy sweetness and Angel is much more oriental with lots of patchouli, it's nowhere near as sweet as pink sugar.
Sabri Del Rey Yes it absolutely does! It's gorgeous. The amount you spray is really up to you.. it's personal preference. I tend to spray quite a bit but this liqueur angel has power. :)

Sabri Del Rey Womanity is probably not the safest blind buy. I haven't ever reviewed it before as I do not have it although... I have gone back and forth about buying it. It's definitely got a salty note to it. It's sweet, only a tiny bit unusual though. Super strong too like most muglers. :) I hope you enjoy it!
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews Well Today I received womanity . and I actually love it although I don't smell slaty notes it's more like a metalic cold note . I didn't smell the salty note until I was out side the house , and I was like OMG I felt like I'm front of an ocean . Anyways I took a risk blind buying womanity and I guess it paid off . but there this tiny con this perfume is so potent that sometimes It hurts my nose and all I did was one spray on my arm .Mugler power house Thank you for being kind andto your viewers

gina2190 The liqueur one wins hands down for me. It feels like the REAL angel. When I smell it next to the original, the original feels like there's somethings missing. Liqueur all the way!!! Angel is quite a polarizing scent though so..make sure you test it first. It's not to everyone's taste. Good luck!

Gosh I can't even remember. I got my bottles from Ebay... I know the newer one is the silver one though. But don't worry, the perfume inside isn't ANY different between bottles (As far as I know, let me check my sources). If you ordered it recently yours will more than likely be the silver bottle.

The problem is that depending on your body chemistry this can make you smell like an angel... or stinky stripper bungholes. On me it’s the latter. I’m an Alien gal all the way.
