You are the only person that really reviews and tests these things, all the other people just out there buying 2 cases and talking about the features that are printed on the box, but you my man, you really test these things and measure them. This is a REAL Review, I subbed.
The dog is so chill he basically stoked the show.....and this solid and through case review, this is basically my go to channel for cases for the foreseeable future
Hello, I am looking for your explanation that why Pitaka aramid fiber thin case is better than Simple Carbon Fiber phone case. In your previous review you tested an SCF Alcantara/carbon case, and you said the phone is not worth the price and you had broken the phone with the case. However, the Pitaka case is less than 1mm thin, it is not a full protection case, and you think it is a good buy. The SCF case is wrapped around with rubber protection, technically it should be more protective and durable than the Pitaka thin case, and their prices are identical, so why do you recommend the Pitaka over the SCF? I hope can hear from you, thank you.
the pitaka case is the one I used on my XS and currently using on my 12 pro, I love the minimalist cases that also protect perfectly. dropped my XS lots of times and no damage whatsoever. would highly recommend
Hello! I watched this review way back when deciding on my iPhone 12 case. I went with the Caudable sheath and I am very happy with it. 2 years down the track and it still looks great: No fading of the texture at all. I have dropped it multiple times from around 1m and my phone has taken no damage. Honestly, $30 for a case which looks and performs great even after 2 years is excellent value. Thanks!
Any Carbon fiber cases that cover all the edges of the phone? Love the pitaka but wish it covered the phone on the top and bottom. Really looking to find a carbon fiber case but protection is key on such an expensive phone
I have the apple silicon case. Paid $50 before tax. I’ve always been a fan of apple’s iPhone cases. It has protected my previous iPhones and current iPhone well and the newer one is clearly MagSafe. It feels well in the hand and keeps the phone rather thin feeling.
Hi! I'm thinking of getting an iphone 12 mini case. I don't care about the case being super minimalist. Should I refer to your video about the regular 12 cases for it or are you guys working on a separate edition just for the mini? Thanks for your work 👍
I needed a thin case so I went and examined everything you have suggested in your previous videos and I want to leave an advice to whoever needs to buy new cases: *if you put the case in your cart and wait 12-24-48 hours you will receive an automated email (or multiple, in the case of totallee) with a discount of anything from 10% to 30% off*
I got the sheath because of this review. Must say the texture and slimness feel great in the hand. Thanks, Monty! It really takes a dog’s perspective to push you over the edge when it comes to iphone cases.
You also have an issue with the Pitaka case, when’s on the phone the lightning plug won’t go full in because the cutout is too small? Only when I pry the phone a bit the plug fit‘s. I guess they not consider the new 12 Pro Max this thin.
I love Pitaka cases on anything that doesn't have stainless steel on the sides. I have been using them since the iphone 6 plus days but as soon as the X came out, I noticed something. The case scratches up the stainless steel sides. Despite this, I stlil used one on my XS and 11 Pro Max (with the same results). I can't bring myself to scratch up my 12 pro max this year so I'm sticking with the leather case. A big draw for me an the Pitaka case was that I could use a magnet mount in my car and not sacrifice wireless charging. Magsafe fixed that problem for me.
I haven’t done much research on this brand so correct me if I’m wrong, but I am positive the Cyrill Cecil Case is a rebranded Spigen Ultra Hybrid case with a floral pattern on the back. If you go back to the cinematic shots of the case, you can clearly see the Spigen branding along with their own. I even went to the Amazon page for the product and their own photos still have Spigen branding on the case.
You mentioned that you have Flolab’s anti glare screen protector on your phone. I haven’t found where you have reviewed that. Thoughts? Does the anti glare distort or do anything weird to stuff you are viewing? Does it introduce finger friction?
What do you recommend for a crystal clear thin case? -- iphone 12 pro Max. I'd like the thinnest possible but with enough protection I wouldn't lose sleep over.
Here’s a video idea for you can you see what’s cross compatible magnet cases. Like would a pitaka case would work with a mous mount I’m figuring There has to be some cross compatibility considering there’s only so many ways to go around the wireless charger
Hello! I’m thinking of getting an 12.9 inch iPad Pro with the apple keyboard that comes with the touchpad for highschool. I will use the Apple Pencil to take notes and also the keyboard for more notes and essays. Should I get a laptop instead? Thanks
Any chance you could share your opinion on bumper style cases? There are a couple available on Amazon and I’m interested in trying one as I like the idea of having the back of my iPhone 12 uncovered. It also seems as though the phone would be less likely to overheat
I just got the Onyx for my Pro Max today and I have to say I’m VERY pleasantly surprised! It feels great in hand and actually looks pretty darn good. Minor detail-with the giant camera bump on the max the bumps are not enough to make it sit flat. But that’s not enough to dislike it.
I suspect the Otterbox Aneu only has the magnet ring and does not include the small vertical strip you see on the Apple Clear Magsafe case (which is terrible btw because I accidentally cracked mine trying to take it off my phone). You think you could do a quick tear down on the Aneu case and confirm if that's the reason why the Apple Wallet doesn't stay secure?
Aaron your videos are always getting better and better. Proud to know you since years now and i like the way how you and ur wife doing the videos now. Thanks man alot
I saw people saying they hated the changes to the Spigen on amazon and that been my go to for a couple years. So it's nice to see it's your number 2. Thanks!
Does your Caudabe sheath come loose on the top of the device? like, not fit 100%? Mine seems to not fit on the top properly. I also love Caudabe's products & 110% agree with what you said @ 2:37
Just received my Willy Blue iPhone 12 LaterCase case. Best case I have owned in the thin category. The bottom of the case does not have a lip on the bottom running across the middle. I have used the Spigen thin fit. Compared to the LaterCase it’s extremely thick, but in the top 2 or 3 for sure.
Hi ! Really like your work (and wondering how in the world you make enough money to finance all that purchasing btw). Feels good to have a trustworthy channel to get some guidance ! Just one question though : have you considered Nudient cases and screen protectors in your candidates ? I just bought one and... so far so good honestly. Thank you !
Is it a general rule that the more expensive a case the better it is. I learn a lot by watching your reviews but won’t have an advantage of getting to touch each case. So I go with your top 3 and try to decide. You don’t like clear cases and for once I would like to see the color of my phone instead of always hiding it.
I have the Pitaka Air case for the iPhone 12 Pro and love it the best. It has great grip and feels real good in the hand. I love the open bottom design, it makes it easy for the swiping up gestures as well. Thanks for the video. :)
Pitaka is awesome for two great reasons: their quality products & their customer support. I highly recommend them from several years of personal experience.
Is the flolab matte better than the regular flolab you recommended in the last videos? I don’t see a matte option for flolab Aaron. Also there is no nanopop for the 12 Pro Max I believe..
i have the mous limitless 3.0 for my iPhone 12 mini right now and the case is great, not too thick and feels great in the hand. With all the mous magnet accessories i think mous needs to try to beat apple to the punch on a magnetic portable charger that could be magsafe and autoalign or just autoalign.
Taking your advice and I just purchased the caudable case for my new iPhone 13 pro max! Can't wait for it to come in. I wanted something slim and quality and this seems to fit the bill!
Hi Monty ! Your fan here ~ I hope there’s more videos about protective case with the slowest way of charging aka magsafe without playing doctor! Bought a UAG mornach however can’t magsafe also bought a spigen liquid air which magsafeable but seems flimsy ~ thinking of raptic edge and catalyst ~ what do you think?
So in your 65 case review video where Mous Limitless 3.0 was the winner, how would you compare that to the Pitaka MagEz/AirCase now that its the new "crush"?? Im stuck between the two since I have come to terms that I should not get a clear case because fingerprints will drive me more insane than not see my iphone's beautiful blue back haha
Same here I got the Entel case (the case he called annoying competitor 😂😂😂) and that case to me looks way better than Pitaka case. I think he has sponsor contract with Pitaka I’m not sure just saying.
you are doing all these reviews and they are great, but can you do one for clear cases... for example, I bought the pro max gold and I don't want the case to just shadow off the beautiful color that it has.... any possibility you can do a case review where the case is good protection but yet has a clearer view of the original iPhone color?? thx
Thanks to your review and links I purchased two Caudabe cases for my iPhone 12PM loving them so far. Keep up the great work! Pls tell Monty he has great taste
Do you have the Apple iPhone 12 (Pro Max) Clear and/or Leather Case as well? If not, it would be great to review them. I'd like to know if all 3 of them have the same dimensions or vary.
Just wondering if you had any recommendations. I am unsure between the pitaka mag ez and the spigen thin fit. I do not drop my phone much but need a case that can handle the occasional drop.
appreciate all the work you put into this vid, but 1 thing lacking I wish you would have measured was the weights of the cases. the 12 pro max is a thicc boy and doesnt play well with my phone gimbal. sigh, guess i should i have just gone with the regular 12 or 12 pro :T
Great review once again. I've tried some of the cases you've recommended and found that the Spigen Liquid Air Armor is the sweet spot if you're looking for a thin protective case with texture all around giving it a nice grip around the back and the sides. Most definitely better than the Spigen Thin fit as it doesn't collect finger prints. The Ringke Onyx was also one of my favorite but the floating buttons was a bit annoying as you've mentioned. A lot of cases are just too smooth and it just feels like it'll slide out of your hands. Love to see if you do review of leather cases, good job!!!
Awesome video! I can vouch for the Pitaka Air Case I got it for my 12 Pro Max and I love it so far! I also have it with a Shellrus screen protector and for my uses it provides enough protection and I haven’t had any issues
Another great review. I purchased the Totallee clear case and had to return it as the buttons were impossible to press and they admitted it. Same with the Bellroy case!
What about the apple leather case? I find it improves the handle of pro max significantly compared to the pitaka Magez I initially put on the phone. Especially the bottom edge, much less cutting to my pinky if you know what I mean.
Great video! Funny you liked the buttons on the new Figura, I hated them. I returned it pretty quickly, the buttons were super dead and gave zero feedback to me.
Thank you so much for the thorough review. Since receiving my iPhone 12 mini over a week ago, I have been searching for a case without buttons over the buttons, then you came along with your top case. Perfect! I tried the link for the Pitaka case, but received a message “link not currently active.” I ordered the Apple clear case with MagSafe along with my iPhone, but not a fan. Let me know about the link. I’ll save a little money, lick my wounds and buy another. You’re awesome....and, of course, your dog. 🥰
I needed a thin case so I went and examined everything you have suggested in your previous videos and I want to leave an advice to whoever needs to buy new cases: if you put the case in your cart and wait 12-24-48 hours you will receive an automated email (or multiple, in the case of totallee) with a discount of anything from 10% to 30% off
Is there a case with all of this Cushion on the back for anti scratch Passed the screen and camera for protection Good grip for sweaty hands and slip protection Mag safe Good protection I just bought a new iPhone and looking for the perfect case
Just cracking up with how calm Monty is wearing the mask and then the sunglasses with the tie!! My dog wouldn’t last 10 seconds with any of that on!! Haha!! Oh, and the reviews was good too!! :-)
I picked up an Otterbox Symmetry case in black of course for my Graphite iPhone 12 Pro Max, I haven’t seen anything better except maybe a SUP case but OtterBox is an established company with a past of success.
