Bro literally same I had the 8 plus since it came out and just switched yesterday. Honestly I am in love with this phone and the size it’s perfect for minimalists👌🏽👌🏽
I still have the iphone 6s plus ;-;, all my thoughts in all does years of using a big phone is.. i hate big phones lmao, the 12 mini is perfect for what i want
Absolutely absolutely love my mini. I had the 12 pro max and brought it back the next day. I could barely hold the big thing without almost dropping it. Was just a hassle trying to put it places or just handling it ...It was just uncomfortable for me. Got the mini in blue 256gb and feels like old times again! I’ll never go back to a modern size bigger type phone.
@@obenzie it’s amazing!! Display is beautiful, cameras are both beautiful, LOVE the size (coming from an unusable water damaged SE 1st gen) , and it’s my baby
Upgraded from an original iPhone SE (which I loved) to the 12 mini (I prefer smaller more easily transportable phones), red with 256Gb (I need lots of memory for photos). Got lots to learn with this upgrade, so your video was most helpful. Thanks!
Same here! I finally upgraded from the original SE (I held onto it as long as I could) to the 12 Mini. The screen is so much bigger for the device it self not being too much bigger.
I’m entering high school, so I’ll finally get my first phone. I chose the mini one, not because of the price, but because I think it’s better for me than the regular IPhone 12. Thanks for the tips.
I got the 12 mini 128gb in red along with the adapter, magsafe charger, magsafe silicone case and AirPod pro. This explains the reason why it was slower charging by magsafe. I was wondering why it’s much slower than plugging in the cable. Thank you for explaining that part. 😅
@@ImtiazIsaacs actually iPhone 7 Plus has 5,5 in screen and iPhone 12 mini 5.4 . So not much difference at all 7 plus just feel way bigger cause of the bezels
First, I just figured out, on my iPhone 12 Mini, is having the ability to ‘double’ or ‘triple tap’ on the Apple symbol on the back of the phone to perform more than one thing. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap. I’ve used it to take screenshots real quick because sometimes when I use the Up Volume and the Power button, I end up locking my phone by accident. So having the option to just double tap the back of my phone makes it much easier to do. Second, when you use a MagSafe Apple case and put it on your phone; it will make a small sound and your case design will pop up on your phone once you have attached it. Enjoy! 😁✌🏼
I got the black iPhone 12 mini 128gb and it’ll arrive in about a week. I’m upgrading from a space grey iPhone 5s 16gb that I’ve had for almost seven years. I had to replace it since the charging port was so worn it was next to being unusable. Suprisingly though, I managed to survive on just 16gb. I had to constantly manage my apps and photos but I made it work. Cosmetically the phone is still in good condition.
Val D, I just got it and I’ve tried it for two days. The size is very comfortable yet the screen feels large due to the small bezels. I haven’t used this phone much but I’m already more comfortable using this phone than the 5s I’ve had for seven years. Typing with one hand is very comfortable and it won’t freeze up like the 5s. The new iOS is also very nice with plenty of options for personalisation. As every reviewer has said the battery isn’t great, I haven’t tried it that much but it’s a slight upgrade in battery life from the 5s. I’ve never been the type of person to take a lot of pictures but with these cameras taking good pictures is easy. So far I highly recommend this phone if the battery life of the 5s wasn’t a problem for you. EDIT: the battery is draining slower now, I guess it’s draining fast the first time since it’s doing a lot of stuff in the background when it’s new.
@@bollesnurr9865 Thank you very much for your feedback ! I strongly hesitate between the normal 12 and the 12 mini. I want a bigger screen than my 5s but the 6.1 inch phone is maybe too big for me. 🤷🏻♂️ I want to keep my phone for a long time so I don't want to make a mistake in this choice. 😂
@@levaldu59380 the screen is very large though, I think I’ve heard somewhere that the 12mini has the same sized screen as iPhone 6s Plus. So as I’ve said the shape is perfect for one handed use and the screen is a very good size. From a video Linus Tech Tips posted today they said that the normal iPhone 12 was too big for one handed use and too small for double handed use. I can’t confirm this but I wouldn’t want a larger phone than the 12 mini.
I think they should change the “top right hand corner - control center” to “bottom right / left corner - control center” instead to facilitate easier one hand use. Just my thought.
Yes - that or something along those lines! Steve Jobs is turning in his grave knowing that 80% of the most tapped places on the screen are in the top 3% most inaccessible places! Like why? iOS needs universal back swipe and the top right corner back buttons need to go extinct.
@@vics.603 It is very handy if you do a lot of 4k 60fps video for an extended period of time without a computer to offload them. If you do music with it, it can also be handy as some libraries can be huge. Hope it helps. Cheers
Really great video with a complete touching on the main points of having the IPhone 12 mini. I learned so much as I am a first time IPhone user. I bought 2 for me and my Uncle last night they will be here tomorrow and...the things you explained make me sorry I stayed with Android all these years to save money.
Ummm is it normal for your I phone 12 mini for the clock to cover the exit button on a RU-vid button? Like the little arrow on the top left corner that you press to exit.. The clock covers it
I've had the Iphone 6s for 4 years. So its weird having no home button, no touch id, and no headphone jack. I gotta get used to face id, and just all of the things these new phones do. RIP IPHONE 6S
I need to take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 12 mini. I can't seem to figure out how to change it to 300 dpi. Most pix I take with the mini are low res
@@Untouchablekiddmusic Mine comes in the mail tomorrow. From I’ve seen in review videos, the iPhone 12 Mini is for minimalist users. Although it is an iPhone so the battery life is still good and will last you all day but carry a portable charging bank. I recommend the iWALK chargers they are long lasting and durable.
This phone is pretty awesome. It’s the perfect back up phone! All you need is a little power bank wherever you go if you’re using it as a main powerhouse phone.
Thank u for the tips! Im going to get an iphone tomorrow and i rlly needed to learn how to use it sence its my first iphone after i awalys use samsung, so this was really helpful for me!
I went from the 6S Plus to the 12 mini in August 2021 and I still love it! I wanted a 6S Plus for so long, and I got myself one in February 2019. I loved it but after a while I got really tired of the huge size. It was so annoying when my hands were full and I couldn't message someone because the phone was too big to use with one hand. It also wouldn't fit in my pockets most of the time. I was so happy that Apple brought out a mini phone and I'm really bummed out that they've ditched it already. I'm definitely keeping my 12 mini for as long as I possibly can, I had a MagSafe battery for Christmas which will keep it going for years to come hopefully. Long live the mini!
I got the mini in red and love it.it’s light and I can fit it anywhere.I don’t need a big ass phone with a huge screen in my pocket. If I want a bigger screen I have my iPad for that.
Im downgrading (size wise) from an iPhone 11 to iPhone 12 mini, blue colour. I used to love the old SE and this mini will suit me fine. The iPhone 11 is just too big and heavy in my pocket so I can't wait...Thank you for the tips!
I recently went from an iPhone 7 to the iPhone 12 Pro mainly because of the U1 chip and LiDAR sensor. I have small hands and despite trying to get used to it over several months, I just found myself moving to the iPhone 12 Mini and immediately loved the size for my small hands and fitting into your pocket. Using my iPhone 12 Pro a bit now like an iPad Micro.
Trueeee imo a phone should be comfortable in your hands, sure the newer models have the nice features but in the 12 mini you arnt really losing much, same camera sensors, same processor, and incredibly small chase and bezels it’s incredible how they could fit so much in a tight spaced iPhone
@@ygambrose2508 I believe he asked which iPhone you were looking forward to getting, or something to that effect. Either way, this comment is 5 months old. Get a life.
Great video Harris! Watching on my flawless I Phone 11. The “Mini” seems like a totally usable device! Enjoy your weekend! Always with full respect for you and your Family and channel! Mark in Iowa.
Excellent review. Thanks! I'm about to buy the Mini and I'm glad to have so much information about things it can do. It amazes me that it hasn't been more popular. Oh well.
Thanks dude! I have the black 12 mini 128gb and I love it ever since. I’m actually surprised there are some things I haven’t discovered till I saw this vid😳
Hello there I would like to ask how can I install my 2 sim card on my iPhone 12mini?apparently it has just 1 spot sim is this normal? Can I apply something extra to have both sim card on it?
i got mine! im not gonna open it yet because i have ordered the adapter for the iphone 12 so i can charge it. once it arrives ill set up my phone and im WAYY TOO EXCITED
Way way way too fast!!!! I guess as an overview it's a learning tool, but like so many thing technological, if you persist and press enough buttons you'll manage. Ugh!
Can i use new í phone with my apple id bút this phone is i have get in my garden so i dont know who forget this phone plz 🙏 suggest me can i use yes ✅ or no.... phone is clean no any password no id no black listed
Does the phone give headaches or make your eyes hurt because i have an eye condition and i can’t be too much time on my phone that is 6”1 inch i wonder if it would be convenient or not to have a smaller screen i don’t want to purchase the phone and it to affect my vision
Im getting mine today free off EE as my samsung A53 is rubbish as has a water detector in the charge port its stupid as if it rains or moist in the air it wont charge at all
@@nyseldias21 it’s not bad tbh, I let the phone die completely tho a couple times and that’s what starts to kill the battery life but it’s at 98% still so hey lol. My SE was at like 80%. I like this mini a lot tho
I can't wait to get the mini in a couple weeks. thanks for all the tips and tricks. believe it or not, i had no idea about that scanning feature in the control center. i need to use that feature more often. thanks for sharing that tip at the very end of the video. great job!
@@legendplays14 the 12 is terrible. why? the 13 has better battery life by a mile. the 12 is just not very good for the battery. anybody who has the 12 sure does with they had the 13 for the battery life
i've a mobile developer, been for decades. always loved my android but needed an iphone to develop mobile apps and i didn't have a company one for the first time. never liked iphone but now i am enjoying it. your video helped me get up to speed on its actual use instead of just programming on it. full convert now.
