I just wish body shapes and facial features would not be trends. I mean that's kind of what the kibbe system is all about: understanding and appreciating the type of beauty you have. Not trying to force everyone in the the same mold (that changes every few years).
Yes, thank you! I so agree with you. I'm not necesarily against plastic surgery but I think it's ridiculous that people would change their body and facial features based on a trend. Trends should be about fashion, make up, etc. And even then, people should pick stuff that suits them. But clothes and make up you can take off.
Trends are a way for social distinction. For example, before the industrial revolution peasants would work in the fields and their skin was exposed to the sun, so they would have a tan. So being pale meant that you didn't have to work in the sun, ergo, you were rich. The trend at that time was to look pale. With the industrial revolution, poor people went to work in factories without sunlight, while rich people had money for leisure in a beach in another country. So pale skin became synonymous with poor and the trend became tanned skin. Same thing about being skinny. In the past being skinny meant that you didn't have access to food, so you were poor. Being chubby was a sign of wealth and opulence. With the industrial revolution, poor people got more access to food, but it was caloric and bad quality. Meanwhile, rich people would have access to better quality foods, could pay for working out on a gym, so now skinny is trendy because it's a sign of wealth. The Kardashian look became too common now, every instagram girl has this look, so it's stopping being a trend. When it spread to the masses, a trend dies. Like pale skin and chubby body. The new trend will be something different and difficult to be achieved by poor people at the moment, so the rich can keep distinguishing themselves from us.
Agreed! People come in so many beautiful shapes and sizes. It’s upsetting that people beat themselves up or alter themselves ( nothing wrong with plastic surgery if you truly want it) only for something to be “on trend” again in a few years.
You're so right. I remember I was a little girl looking at models at some random magazine and telling my mum how beautiful these women are. My mum said this is fashion and women like that are considered fashionable these days. I think it was a picture of Kate Moss. How times have changed 😊 or not at all..
It seems women have to be attractive to be acceptable because they were not in charge and their only value was to appeal to men.I think equality will come when women can be valued for their brains and talents even if unattractive, as men are!

I’d say that what the Kardashians have done with their extreme surgery is creating this idea that you can literally transform yourself in whichever way you want, it’s only a question of having the money
And the thing is the more people made that transformation and the more we see that in the daily life the more it seems like it's becoming the norm, and we start to feel like the odd one in the mix.

So, I'd like to state something. I am a Bangladeshi girl in her early 20s and I was born with doll like rounded lips but very full at the same time. I was bullied to the extent that I considered thinning my lips with surgery and what-not. Thankfully I didn't. I love my face now. What hurts me the most is that these mainstream magazines, media, influencers are so skilled at marketing a fake attribution of a natural face and will label it as "self-love" and "right to fix insecurity" but they don't - I mean ever - broadcast the idea of "loving your own body, essence and existence. I hate it.

I am South Asian too and have a fuller pouty lip shape as well. When I was a child I was never bullied but I felt so insecure about my lip shape because I grew up in a predominantly white area in the UK and hated how different I looked to the other people in my class ;( Now I'm almost in my 30's and they've thinned out quite a bit, I miss the fullness of how they used to look like when I was younger lol
You know i noticed that there's something else too, this trend has done to us... it has sort of made even the naturally fuller lip shapes to look thin... sometimes I feel that I have a distorted sense of what's real nowadays.... as someone in comments suggested.. i hope natural beauty becomes a trend some day...

THIS!!! My lips definitely are plump and have a beautiful shape to them and I noticed for YEARS now that my lips look thin in comparison to all the influencers. I think the only way to not feel like that is if you have natural XXL lips (which look soo much better than injected).

I think people look most harmonious when they stay close to their original proportions, whether it fits a beauty standard or not. Gwyneth Paltrow would look off with Angelina lips and so would I, despite wanting them. Kylie went from a person to a product. EDIT: Kylie is a person and everyone who has work done is a person. I just meant she was exploited by Kardashians and turned into a money making machine.

The world treats her as an object, it’s what celebrity culture does. And given the type of family dynamic she grew up in and her parent, I think she internalized the objectification, which fueled the excessive surgery and changes.

I have thin lips and fuller lips would look disproportionate on me. I’m sure this is true for many other women. We have to be true and consistent with our essence.
There's a trick I've heard where you put a little but of tissue under your lip to make it look fuller for pictures. I tried it out, I don't think it suited me at all. But women I know with naturally fuller lips look great with them, I think there's a lot to be said about natural features suiting us.
I’ve always found that certain shades of lipstick (esp. darker) help my lips to achieve better definition without me needing to overdraw. I also find keeping my eyebrows thin helps to balance my face better.
I wonder if people will 'get' that it's an oxymoron? Porn is the opposite of chic, but modern beauty trends don't seem to understand that because American culture has become so inured to vulgarity.
Natural lips! Natural beauty will be the new trend, the opposite side of this high glamour, overdone, porn star exaggeration of beauty that has been trending. Makes me think of how the drag community utilized makeup and femininity. And how we have utilized such exaggerations in our aesthetic presently, doesn’t seem to be working out so well, because its fake and disingenuous! I agree so much with you! I actually would go as far as saying that it is somewhat damaging even to get all those procedures and look like a porn star or drag queen. It only intensifies the reduction of women to their bodies as it also alienates people from their nature given bodies and faces. And on top of that many of these surgery trends can be very dangerous. If humans were meant to all look the same, we'd probably have been created that way. Variety is beautiful!

Yes! I agree as well. I remember trying a few makeup trends awhile ago (2014-2016); and it looked heavy on my face. I felt I was trying to look like a woman instead of just embracing my soft features. Now I prefer the light to no make up look with a touch of sparkle. I will say I’ve always been cautious of wearing bold lipstick with my fuller lips it can easily over power my face and steal the show lol. having thin lips is great; you can experiment with different colors and compliment your features! Even during the day, without being too distracting 😭

I don’t like the blown up look either. They are trying to copy beauties like Adriana Lima and Monica Bellucci but end up looking like the aliexpress version. I hope we make room for different types of beauties. Some people look good with thin eyebrows, for example Bella Hadid. Getting a copy paste look is more for people who don ‘t trust/value their own beauty. It’s like a cheat code and the Kardashians started it.
I began noticing during the pandemic, women returning to a more natural look. Women in my age group (50-60) were letting their hair go to natural colors especially gray rather than dying. I don’t want the upkeep. I have not colored in years and I love my gray hair. I feel more authentically Me. Why would I want to look younger? Do I want to look fertile? No. Aging isn’t better or worse. It just is. I can be my best self and not agonizing trying to look like everyone else. I think it’s wise to know who you are and then knowing how to express that. It’s still fun. It’s still sexy. It’s unique and authentic.
Let's be real 99% of people with plastic surgery look even older than people who age naturally. I mean they might don't have wrinkles but you see their age and they look so plastic. A lot of times I found Betty White prettier than women in their 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's... that had a lot of plastic surgery. Dying hair tho I think I'll do it for quite a few years because I like my hair blonde but I'm sure if I live long enough I'll stop dying it as some point too.

I was very bullied for my big lips growing up, since I'm mixed and grew up in Sweden where basically everyone has very thin lips. Now a lot of the girls who bullied me have/had fillers. It's really weird to watch your own natural features go in out of style.

I am so tired of this current look. I feel like it's been going on for forever. Full, arched brows. Long false lashes. Sharp upturned eyes. Tiny upturned nose. Plump injected lips. Slim model-like face. Along with the sucked, tucked and injected slim thick hourglass body. There's nothing fresh & inspiring of seeing the same face a thousand times. Beauty is a medium of art and when every picture in a museum looks the same, you're bound to get bored and leave. Beauty is supposed to produce an emotional reaction in those that witness it... and I feel nothing looking at these girls. It's like we're beating a dead horse. Can we please come up with something new and try to be more original in ways that fit our own natural beauty. 😬 I'm pure classic with a bit of ingenue essence and my lips look small-ish in size yet full. I often felt insecure because I am Black and I dont have naturally plump juicy lips, but seeing these trends just make me realize that what is considered beauty is just a matter of time & place.

Yes where women are looking just the same, and very very plastic looking. One can instantly tell a facial features that have been altered. Thus, unnatural is not appealing at all. Not to mention the altered expressions. Exaggerated femininity, pornish, cheap, then the body plumping too. What has happened? To be sure the Kardashian influence.

Sooo true, its something on it you can tell even if its minimal, and the botox too, it gives a special unnatural shape to the eyes/eyebrows that you can tell miles away.
Yeah! It can reduce wrinkles or make a person's lips look more full, but so easily leads to that uncanny valley kind of look that becomes so obvious in actresses when they can't move their faces! I've been watching Grace and Frankie and it's so sad that the show blurs out their wrinkles and they seem to have quite a bit of obvious work done in between seasons. It doesn't make them look younger, just more artificial, which is a shame. Women should be allowed to age like men... (Not excluding trans nonbinary folks, but stereotypes tend to exist in binaries with gender.)

Ive really grown to like my unique lips after seeing an explosion of fake giant lips everywhere. Mine are small but full like cute Betty boop 20s vibe..they fit my face. Everyone has their own unique features and should embrace them because they are meant for you :)
Small lips have always been a strong beauty standard here in Japan. For centuries, the maiko/geisha have UNDERdrawn their lips to make them smaller, giving the effect of two small red flower petals against the white face paint. Small lips here are considered graceful, elegant, innocent and feminine.
It starts getting weird when people start associating characteristics with lips instead of focusing on how the features fit an individual's face. Just because someone doesn't have smaller lips doesn't mean they don't have those characteristics and vise versa. Especially in regards to a country that consistently pushes boundaries on their imagery of young girls and women, as in the media pushes grown women to look like young girls. Just saying, small lips aren't superior to big lips and vise versa and having small lips doesn't make you something as it has to do with the overall harmony of the face.
I guess this question is related to another question: when will women stop hypersexualizing their bodies? In our society we are so confused with beauty because we confuse it with sexual attractiveness, often, as described by the male gaze which is fetichising and reduces women from humans to sexual toys. Real beauty is not so much compromised with changing (or even only accepting!) but actually appreciating the natural geometry we are made of. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I think that this sexualized ideal of beauty is sexist and anti-feminist. And I'm not sure that it is likely that there will be a role-model that puts thin lips on trend again because that is not as profitable. I am a soft classic and when I have been suggested that my boobs or lips could be bigger I always think... that would completely throw away my natural balance! and it doesn't match my essence at all... I would love a video on beauty in aging women. I find the preassure to be young also very related to this topic... I understand that signaling fertility is a biological part of beauty, but we should not forget that beauty is greater than sexual atractiveness. Love your videos Aly!

One of them was living happily + overcoming trauma and starving during WW2 and the other died young (possibly murdered to silence her) and was miserable most of her days and in search for validation from men that possibly also killed her. Nowadays too, female RU-vidrs and streamers who's work is focused for women do not get such hate and discrimination in the comments.

As others said, body shapes and facial features should not be trends! The most that personally I am willing to do to be "on trend" is play with makeup, overlined lips go away with a cotton round and remover! An issue that I haven't seen mentioned is that many girls are tricked into getting fillers because they are told it gets absorbed and can be dissolved. Actually many surgeons claim that filler just migrates to other parts of the face (hence the swollen look) and when dissolved the tissues are damaged and especially the lips will never look the same again.
I used to really dislike my thin lips. Then I realized that Sigourney Weaver, one of the actresses I find the most beautiful, in an unusual and regal way, has been rocking her thin lips forever. I understood then that beauty can come in various forms and stopped worrying about my lips 🙂.
It's so weird, because back in the 80s when I was a teenager and early 20s, no one talked about any of this stuff. I mean weight or having a big nose was a thing, but not one of my friends ever looked in the mirror and was like, "I hate my lips...I wish they were bigger." I had lips more like Clara Bow or Cyndi Lauper and that was Ok.

When I was 14 I loved the TV series Charlie's Angels (with Farah Fawcett) and would stare and salivate at the boyishly narrow hips and skinniness of Kate Jackson. As for makeup you're right no one really discussed it. The look was always more natural just that light blue eye shadow, mascara, some blush and lippy. That was it. That was the 70s when I was a teenager but the thinking was the same in the 80s.

The one girl who wore the full beat had bad acne, and remember that it was her thing to wear a lot of make-up to hid her skin - if you had good skin you were more natural. But, too, we only really had the drug store make-up. I remember trying Cover Girl eye shadow, and I had an allergic reaction to it, so couldn't wear it. The department store make-up was so pricey. I remember it was a big deal when my mom took my sisters and I to buy a couple of things from Clinique. Times were so different back then.

That's interesting about your allergic reaction to Cover Girl eyeshadow. Was that one not bought from a dept store? Clothes and make up were more expensive but they were higher quality, the fabric. There was no mass marketed Chinese produced fashion like today to tempt you into buying cheap but poor quality clothes. I still have a couple of items from the 80s, a jumper, a top and a dress with not a single fraying hem or loose thread even to this day. But today you can get good quality clothes at really reasonable even cheap prices from boutique stores because retail is so hard nowadays. PS - Was it Kate Jackson who had the bad acne?

I follow an master injector on IG and there is absolutely an "ideal" nose, lips, cheeks, look she does.. it's like everyone starts to look the same. I truly believe God is a master artist and made us beautifully unique, I don't like this trend for everyone to look the same
I’ve also thought many with with lip fillers have started to look the same. I find the fillers can take away subtle shape and movement of upper lip in particular. I find there to be as much or more beauty in movement as there is a still image. Usually plumped up lips take away the little lip gestures, little shapes, made with original lip movements that make a person uniquely beautiful. Plumped up versions seem more lifeless or statue like to me.
Yes, I've notice the same thing! Filled lips don't move and streatch as good and naturally as the natural one. They are more... clapping 😂 It's more noticable as lips get bigger and bigger.
Also, it's harder to lip-read on fuller lips (esp. Filled lips) Thinner lips allow for better communication for those that are deaf or hard of hearing in general
Plus it migrates above the vermilion border and eventually weighs the lips down... this is especially bad in the upper lip where it increases the nose to lip ratio which is never good. That gets longer with age naturally and this accelerates the aged look. Also when filler migrates there is gives the face a simian appearance.
Cute, feminine rosebud lips look so beautiful and refined. As opposed to a huge stretched out mouth. I think all these giant filled lips are going to be very aging. That said, most natural lips look great on the person, like Streisand's nose looks so beautiful on her face.
If you look at Barbara Streisand, especially in the 60s and 70s, she is so beautiful. Her long tapered fingers are to die for, her skin, and when she purses her lips. I don't understand why people don't see beauty in non-classic looks? It seems like back in the 70s that was bigger - if you look at old issues of Vogue...very telling.
Since I was a kid, people said my lips were thin, that when I pressed them together, they disappeared. Even then I said I have my nana's lips and she was beautiful. I certainly don't look like her, but I never wondered what I would look like with bigger lips. By the time I get lipstick on they suit my face just fine. People need to learn to embrace and love their features, it's hereditary and part of who they are.
I think part of the appeal of doing the big lips is to show off that one has the money to afford those things. It seems to me to be a very Nouveau Riche aesthetic. You don't see it a lot in areas where being educated, being well-mannered, going to the right schools, etc. are prioritized. Looking like that would make it difficult to fit in. So I'm not sure thin lips really are "out" in the real world, just in certain circles and on social media. Will thin lips become popular on social media? I doubt it.
Thank you for the vidéo, very interesting. As a black women growing up in France 25 years ago I was bullied at school and on a street because of my lips, my boobs , my booty , my skin , my cambrure. Now to realise that all this is the trend since the last 9 years I feel sorry for all the tears and suicidal thought I used to had because of evils comments. My body did nt change now people are annoyed because I did not change and I do not have any wrinkles. I learned that the differences is a blessing , perfect health physique and perfect mental health is the most important. I still learn to accept myself for loving myself , and to live happilly, soon I will be their.
the thing is thin lips were trendy before, many people of this comment section, including me, were bullied fue having big lips. And i think it has a lot to do with racism, bc how Aly said thin lips look more European. Just like looking very skinny was the standard and the natural curvy body of a lot of black people were the "ugly type". The Kardashians tried all this years to look mixed or racially ambiguous, even 'black'. So after that, things started to chance.

Can we talk about how her lips weren't small in these pictures at the parts where aly described them as small? like these are full lips but we suffer from body dysmorphia thinking they were on a smaller side. i am happy to say that i have always felt comfortable in my thin lips. people around me would tell me to overdraw them but i wouldn’t want to just because i think they complement my face. the same goes for the natural bags under my eyes - i think they give depth to my face and wouldn’t change them.
I like makeup and how it changes the face so I disagree with that. I like my dark circles gone because for one I don't look as tired and for two I add a lighter shade so it makes my cheeks look a bit more full instead of hollow. As for the lips I don't have the thinnest but regular white people lips I over draw them and add color to make them not seem to blend In with my skin and stand out. To me I think putting in the work with makeup and other accessories makes me a work of art but naturally I look decent because I have a nice completion.
My issue with Kylie’s lip transformation is that her reasoning was not her own- she said a BOY mocked/criticized her. THIS is what I feel sends a terrible message to the young and impressionable, to succumb to bullying and place such priority on male gaze, above her own self image.
I don't understand how this "trend" was for people with thinner lips, but for me, as a person who have naturally full lips and who have been my whole life bullied about that, when people stared using lipfillers, initially this helped me to accept my lips the way they are, but somehow people stared to fill it in a way that they look very botched in my perspective. Facial features should not me trendy.
Truth is the root cause for wanting to be like someone else is low self-esteem and the illusion that there's better. And the fashion industry has capitalised on the lack of self esteem in most women to sell them a lie. Self acceptance and appreciation should be taught in schools beginning from elementary level.
I am halfway through your video and I am very happy that you are very sharp with your point of view on how bigger lips just don’t look good on most of women. It doesn’t look classy. No one thinks ‘wait will this look good on my face with my features? ‘ . They just want big lips to fit in.
I think “natural” is returning back in style. Funny enough, I was on IG & even guys were complaining that the women in strip clubs were all looking like clones. No variety to be seen whatsoever. 🤣
Usually when people stray to far from their own natural appearance and natural beauty, they wind up looking goofy. The idea should be to slightly enhance or highlight what you already have.
I think thin/sharper lips look sophisticated, and still had sexiness to the face. Models like Tania Harcourt-Cooze, Cindy Crawford, Milla Jovovich, young Madonna, actress Lucy Lawless are some examples of gorgeous women who don’t have full luscious lips and would still be sexy as hell!
Every girl on social media looks the same. No one stands out and because of that I can't say any of them appeal to me. The beauty trend has become so standard its basic. Imagine if Heidi Clum had lip fillers? She wouldn't be Heidi Clum.
I think one very important point wich also plays a huge role in this topic was missed: The recent sexualisation and fetishisation of non-white, espacially black (mostly lightskinned), people and the "exotic". The whole racist system is also the reason why we portrait thin lips as classic; because we assosiate them with whiteness and therefore with power and upper class.
i used to feel self-conscious about my thin lips and never wore lipstick because of it. i thought it would only look good on bigger ones. fortunately my mindset got better and i now wear lipstick whenever i want, appreciating what i have. sometimes i have days where i don't like them again, but that's okay, because i always come back to love them instead. same with my nose. crazy how much the popular people can influence you.. i just hope everyone finds the love for themselve that they deserve!💗
I think cosmetic surgery and makeup both work best when they are used to enhance and perfect one's own natural beauty rather than to try to achieve a different beauty ideal. Just my own opinion. I do think it's sad that some of these women out there are actually deforming themselves with filler and bad work and they end up looking just so much worse than if they didn't do anything.
The concept of body parts being "trendy" has always been unsettling to me, but I haven't been able to put my feelings into words until watching your videos and reading the insightful comments people leave.
In the 1980’s, Kelly LeBrock was my favorite model. She had huge, beautiful lips, but they fit her face. I was obsessed with her lips. I didn’t see anything like them until Angelina Jolie. When they are natural, it’s gorgeous.
I really want trends related to people's bodies to stop. We need to stop treating our natural bodies like fashion. It's not a piece of clothing that we can change according to what's popular at the moment. We have live with our bodies for our entire life. We only have one body and one life, i think people forget that sometimes. ❤️
To me, natural is always on trend. You are so right that nature usually keeps things in proportion for that particular person. For instance, Jennifer Grey practically ruined her career when she got a nose job. She had a bigger than average nose but she was still beautiful but in an ordinary way. It made her distinct. After her nose job, she looked like everyone else and indistinguishable from all the other starlets. I say, do the best with what you've got. Play up your assets and minimize your perceived flaws. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.
it is already happening! here in brazil, some of the richest influencers (who get fillers injetcions years ago) are removing all the fillers of their faces and lips

I have a medium sized lip and I really like them. They are just average and I used to want them bigger but now that I’m seeing so many people with huge lips, it’s almost more unique now. Same with different noses. I love when women have bumps or big bumps In their nose, or even different looking teeth with character. It’s something you can’t buy & it’s different and so beautiful to me. It just seems everyone looks the same atm. It’s beautiful to be unique
My thin lips are my biggest insecurity, I hope one day they are more accepted by the beauty standard. It’s not good to base your confidence on beauty standards but it’s just kinda ingrained in me at this point despite my constant unlearning of it

I'm black and I naturally have big lips and used to be insecure about them. It's weird to me how lips turned into a trend especially, when you can tell when someone has had their lips done. If you are gonna do it, a little goes a long way. Don't put too much to the point where your lips lose it's natural shape. Injections dissolve, but when the lips get scarred it's hard to get your natural shape back from what I've heard and seen. The problem with these "new trends" is that they are not permanent. Hell, these trends aren't even new. It's like mom jeans. In fashion in the 90s, out in the early 2000s when low rise was in, and back in style today. The same thing is happening with the curvy BBL body aesthetic. The Y2K style is coming back and with it the skinny bodies as well. Nothing is permanent. So do you really wanna spend bank to permanently alter your body for something that will be out of style in a decade? The beauty industry makes money on our misery. If we all are happy and satisfied, it will no longer thrive. So by default the beauty industry will always change to keep us on our toes.
I was just talking about this. I'm noticing now that women im finding attractive have small lips with usually a red lipstick on. Its too cool for school and looks way hotter

To me it's like ultra white teeth, facettes etc... Unnecessary... I like natural smile/natural teeth, imperfections in teeth... I love it 😊 Natural colors... Like it was at least in the 80's...
Ultra white very obvious veneers look crazy to me. I have yellow teeth because I have the curse of bad teeth genes even though I always take care of my teeth. And I don't find it attractive but I would never consider veneers, I think they would take sonething away from my face
@@yeebler I had a boyfriend in my teen age, with very pale skin, red undertone hair, and he - handsome guy... always complained a lot for the "yellowish" shade in his teeth, no matter the proper hygiene, the fact of no drinking coffee or smoking cigarettes (these two are the reason why my teeth are became darker in my '30). I heard a Swedish girl, here on YT, saying it' s common in her country. She was obviously bleaching her teeth. Maybe the video was sponsored, I don't remember. To me, David Bowie was the epitome of sex, a lot for his smile. After it changed everything 😁 but I guess , life excess ... everything's forgiven ❤️
@@clarimonde3613 Teeth doesnt change color because of hygiene. I dont know why people think if they brush their teeht it will become white. Anyway I dont like my "yellowish" teeth but ultra white teeth are bad too.

Thanks for this Aly, I've loved your videos for years but this one hit home for me. As someone with thin lips, a sizeable nose and big eyes, when I tried the big lip trend through over-lining I realised rather quickly that bigger lips dramatically throw off the balance my natural face achieves, and that it wouldn't be for me. I have learned to love my big nose and lips since then, and over the last five years it's become clearer that trends are all about a group of people trying to look like ONE person or a type of person, who funnily enough embraces all of who THEY are, and instead of the group of people trying to embrace themselves and their natural beauties, they start to believe the object they're imitating is the standard - when in fact nobody is. Sure media tries to portray one particular version of beauty above others, but there is gorgeousness in everybody out there, especially when we are looking at one another with eyes unclouded by comparison to others; in fact when someone really carries themselves with confidence, no insecurity, enthusiasm, inner freedom and genuine presence, their features shine in a way that no amount of cosmetic alteration could achieve (all my opinion of course) I'm really grateful you took the time to comment on this trend in this video
It seems that you just noticed that we caucasian (European native) women, we have normal-thin lips, and yes...it has been always like that (with some exceptions of course...there are always exceptions, like Brigitte Bardot or Sofia Loren) until this horrible fashion of filling your lips, because we wanted to have the size of a Native from Africa or South America, and the nose of an Asian girl, and to be thin but to have huge breast, etc, etc (A huge market , and a lot of money (too much!!!) .The key is to make us feel bad and frustrated with ourselves, if we were not dissatisfied and frustrated because our image does not correspond to the unreal or impossible image that is sold to us, the business would not exist. And this business moves too much money, that's why they look for more and more flaws, more touch-ups, and they don't give a shit that most of the new generations of women live hooked on cosmetic surgery or completely frustrated. It does seems , it's true, that European women are nos so easily brainwashed as in USA, I have not idea why... but this is an International subject and an international problem...
Northern european women tend to have thin lips, especially scandinavians, but eastern europeans and southern europeans tend to have moderate to slightly plump lips. It is true that its very rare to see europeans with lips the size of black people though. A point of your comment I disagree with is that white people want asian noses, in fact I think noses are one of the few features in the modern beauty standard that has remained very eurocentric, it has to be small, thin, pointy, and upturned with a high nose bridge to be considered pretty. Asians tend to have wider, flatter, more bulbous noses. In terms of the modern beauty standard, I think it's trendy to have tanned skin like a Latina, big lips like black women, a sharp narrow nose like white women, and almond shaped eyes like asians. Basically impossible to achieve without surgery cos it takes so many features from different populations. The only person who looks like that naturally is Adriana Lima, but that's cos she's brazilian and seems to be mixed with every race on the planet haha

I like white skin, or cool undertones , I also never cared about big lips, because it really depends on the face, it's not for everyone. I will agree about the nose tho, I prefer a small delicate nose, but then again it depends on the face. A nose, can be small and delicate, but it can have a lot of roundness, on the hand hand, a nose can be small and delicate but it can have sharpness! that's the cool thing about noses, and I think that's it's one the most important facial characteristics.
Some people naturally have such underdeveloped lips and even a concave lip surface that a modest amount of filler can help them to look like "normal" lips that look completely natural and no one would notice. But I agree that the over-filled look is overdone and looks odd.
Small lips aren't "underdeveloped". It's not like they're a secondary sex characteristic. Some women can really pull off the small lips, even when they nearly disappear when smiling. It can look charming and classy.

What I love more than anything is thin lips with a very dark vampy lip! It’s so gorgeous to me! And with a clean base and simple liner so classic and beautiful! I think thin lips will be back because of the demelio tik tok people. They look like old Kylie and are popularized without changing themselves

Good call with the lip trend having it's origins in porn. I don't think enough people give credit to just how much of our beauty standard today actually has its roots in this insidious, pervasive industry
Yes ma’am, I have noticed the same thing with TikTok. The hot girls of TikTok share the exact same facial characteristics, regardless of skin tone, hair color/texture. It’s universally accepted but it lacks individuality.
Recently I quite often find myself thinking, that people would look prettier with less fillers. People are usually born with well matching features, augmentation of any feature lessens this natural harmony. Not sure if it’s out of trend yet, as I keep seeing more and more cases
Yeah lots of people have pretty significant asymmetries (some charming some not) or even serious medical issues which can prevent "harmony" from existing in a traditional beauty sense either at all or without significant intervention.
I saw a video about the plastic surgery Angelina Jolie got. It’s really crazy how good some surgeons are but we just need to stop trying to compete with famous people. They get paid to look a certain way. Most of us are regular women who enjoy beauty but it’s not worth endangering our health for.
Thank you for the video! I think, it already happened- lip fillers are out of fashion! Overfilled lips are associated with tackiness, bad taste and probably bad reputation. I noticed, the lip fillers are mostly used to balance the lips out, to make them look slightly more moist and youthful, but not to explode them so everyone can clearly see - they are fake..
