I literally had to Google the name water Turkey 🙂. I’ve lived in the south my entire life of 59 years and I’ve never heard that term. Glad Ed is coming to visit. He’s such a sweet and special man. Daniùel in Houston, this was a great video of father and son, having a lighthearted competition on ciatching and releasing their fish. I loved all the laughter and I loved how you guys kept moving around the pond without a lot of hassle, but just in sync together as you move. It’s obvious you’re very comfortable fishing together. The one thing I’d like to say to Houston is, everything doesn’t have to be a competition, nor do you always have to win. I used to go fishing with my dad and my grandpa, some of my happiest memories to quietly on a summer night together, and it was never about who caught the biggest or who caught the most, he was about the camaraderie. Houston is very lucky to have a father Like your dad so maybe next time you fish together you could just dial it back a little bit and talk with your Dad. I do understand he send it you fish with a lot of grown-ups and there’s a lot of joking going on between the man and definitely competition in some of the fishing trips. When you and your father went on the trip where you were fishing for spoon, head, fish, and doing catch and release, if you go back and watch that video, you will see how kind your father was to you letting you and Kobe Fish and catch the big ones while he stayed in the background filming and letting you have the experience of fishing for spoon head, but also letting you have the forefront of pretty much all rhe attention. I know you’re young and yet in many ways, you’re more mature and grown-up for your age because of the experiences your dad provides for you. When I watch these videos, I can’t help but what my life was like growing up with 11 siblings ... yes that’s right. 11… Eight girls and four boys Weren’t allowed to compete or brag or any of that stuff. My mom was very strict about that. I think she did that so that there wasn’t any fighting and feeding at 12 children but it taught me a lot and one of the things you did, consideration of others;patience in not thinking I had to be first and be selfless and by that I mean being willing to give up everything for someone else… Not literally everything but let’s say you’re having a picnic and there’s fried chicken and corn on the cob and fish, etc.and when you go back for “seconds”, There is only one piece of chicken left and one piece of fish but you are ahead in the line and you have a couple cousins and a sibling behind you and there’s just not enough meat for four people to share. Now two little ones could share a piece of fish or a piece of chicken But you’re older cousin can’t so you have a decision to make. You can think of yourself, or you can be selfless and take an ear of corn and maybe a piece of watermelon, and leave the meat to the ones behind you in line. And that’s what it means to be selfless. Your father displays that action on a regular basis. If you can grow up following his example, you will be a great young man also. Anyway, as I said, this was a great video, and I even enjoyed the baby goat at the beginning of the video. It looked like she was trying to blow kisses at you Daniel. It’s a very cute baby goat and I feel so bad for the mother.!!!! I’m glad you are milking her once a day because she has way too much milk and I don’t know if you guys try to save any of her milk, but you can freeze it and last a long time in the freezer then if you have a baby goat that the mother won’t feed it You have goat milk all ready should that situation develop much as Tyler on Farmer, Tyler Ranch, who recently had a calf that was abandoned and he was unable to get the mother to accept this baby cow because it was one of twins, and she wanted just a second twin and not the first born. This, Tyler was forced to take the baby calf up to the barn near the house, where he could have easy access to it and feed it from a bottle. If you have extra milk from another mother such as this spotted goat, and you can get that frozen. You have better quality for the baby animal. Anyway, the last thing I want to say is that you can learn a lot if you want to from Kahle Farm emails. They presently have, a 17 a clutch in which the male is sitting on the nest and they do this for approximately 60 days. It is not the female that sits on the nest. I’ve already forgotten what it was you wanted to know about emus and I was going to tell you, but I’m sure somebody else has already given you that answer. Last, I think your turkeys are beautiful. We didn’t have turkeys like that on the farm. They were just small, thin brown turkeys and you guys have majestic turkeys. I want to paint a picture of one of your turkeys. They’re so fabulous, especially when they have all their tailfeathers found out. thank you for this video. Take more time for yourself. You are a great dad and family man and I’m always excited to see what is going on at your location. You’ve really accomplished a lot this past year and getting the land cleared more and it’s just such a gorgeous location. Final thought; I am sure it’s going to be hard to not be a part of your fishing activities and vacation. He will be missed by so many people as the weather changes and begin to fish more and have other activities or go on vacation and I just want you to know I’ll be praying for all of you who knew him well and who is alive have been touched because of him. Boy do I love the fishing !!! I would think it would be the Eagles more than other birds after the fish !!! Eagles will look for them grab them with their nails of feet then Flying away but sometimes losing them !!! So I place it on the Eagles !!! Panfish is great scale them filet them with the skin on cook them skin side down in a fry pan with some butter the when the meat is white crack a egg or 2 in to the pan !!! Scramble it on up and you have a meal fit for a KING !!!

Proper management of big bass pond is keeping the bass that aren’t at 100% wr. Keeping the smaller bass is key to growing large ones. All in what someone’s goals are.

Both male and female emu’s will drum, but their sounds are different. Also, a female emu will not lay an egg unless she is stimulated by a male. I learned these from Jason and Brooke and their emus, Nugget and Goldie.

Do you have any threadfin shad or crawfish in your pond? Also, you could tag fish if you add any bass in the future or cut a fin to mark them. Ask Huston if he can fish with barbless hooks in the pond to help release the fish with less handling. Looks like a great pond!!!

Farm ponds are great. Ours were yard ponds, as in two. Had a 3 acre yard, and a 0.92 acre pond at each back corner I also mowed a 10' swath around-with an 18" push mower, entire yard with a pusher. I swear some of those bass got caught over and over just to say hi to me. We had around 200 ponds scattered on the properties, think I fished most if not all, but those two near the house like on this vid were the best.

my Dad and i were fishing near Valard MN south east of Alexandria and pulled in a near 2 lb crappie that was bit all the way to the top fin by a northern pike with our last minnow. on a different lake he caught a pike that was about 5 in long with a a lure about the same size as he was lot of fond memories of fishing with my Dad for over 60 years he told me he took me fishing at one week for bullheads on Mountain Lake in southern MN near Windom a dammed up creek under the bridge
