Great stuff Travis, Thank You, hope the weather has picked up, its promised to pick later this week over here, We have had rain nearly all the time since last July😭👍🙏🙂
Thanks for all the great cattle updates!Speaking of your "new" calving shed, why dont you convert the big barn into a calving shed? Maybe a good video idea?thank you:)
Know the feeling seems I have always had bad weather come through during calving too. To bad u could get a ramp or something up to thw old dairy barn to let the cows with the calve in a pan for a bit. I do that with the my old one too.
Hey bud. Lost 2 calves this year ourselves one mama had a stillborn. Coyotes got the other. There is always those that keep us working during why we do it, but still that percent we save is worth it. Keep your skate on the ice! We're all in this together ;) Love the content! Hope calving goes good for ya
For compost if you make a heap for your mother, and you might have dairy farmer friends. If a load of milk goes bad, or an ice cream batch. You could put that in to the compost pile and it will increase microbes and sugar. Intervale compost in vermont did that with Ben & Jerry's, next door neighbors. The pile went up to 120 degrees in the ice cold winter. I got some of that back in a pint i sold for a fundraiser that would never melt. Flovor Terra fuela. A sunflower! in a pint with compost to start! May you cattle be well. Snow way Travis!
That last snowstorm could have been a doozy in my area 6-8 heavy heavy wet snow only got 2 inches. Looks like a tornado went through with the gate down.
Hey Travis, Thank Yuo for another calve video. Just when we think things are going good then the weather turns, mama cows disappoint us and that is farming my friend. Praying everything turns out great and planting turns out great. Take care, Take it easy and TRUST JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
