Lisa, I say yes to the shoulder health tips please! Having an ample bosom and physical jobs in my younger years did not do me any favors . I also wanted to congratulate you on your cleanser. It has become my daughter and I’s favorite ❤️. My daughter’s sensitive and reactive skin won’t go without it! Luckily, I restocked her a few months ago. 😊
Yes please Lisa! I would love a video on shoulder and posture tips! I am unfortunately spending way too much time in front of the computer so will love to learn what has worked for you!
You know how much I love beauty facials and magazines too girlfriend and my makeup done pretty too girlfriend, and I love your beauty ideas and tutorials so much, hi, girlfriend 😍💕
Yes to a video on upper back exercises! As I’ve gotten older, I seem to be getting a weak, slightly hunch back😓. I would love to find ways to get my back stronger and opened up again. So good to see you and love seeing what you use!☺
I saw a guy doing exercises for the upper back. I'm in crutches full time, as I am an amputee. As you can imagine it does take its toll on the arms and back. There are also chiropractors who give good tips. Just type in what you require & I'm something will come up. Hope this helps. ❤
Thank you! I imagine the crutches do take a toll, and that chiropractors will hopefully help you as well! I’ve been searching upper back exercises online, and trying to remind myself to try to straighten up as much as I can with good posture. I have a disc issue in my neck, so that limits me a bit. I just need to get organized and prioritize my upper back exercises. @@EMMYK1916
i think a lot of people are becoming interested in hair care and i love that. i love how we often independently- but sort of collectively shift interests. to me it feels like we’re like “ok. we’re skincare experts now. so what’s next.” the internet is giving us access to so much information to learn and enjoy. idk i love it.
Hi Lisa👋🏻 I am a hair specialist from Leonor Greyl and thank you so much for remembering me 😊 I’ve done your scalp and hair analysis, scalp detox and hair treatment at Harrods while ago. After the pandemic, I move to an independent salon in Notting Hill Gate. Great to see you taking care of your scalp and hair at home and I also use this heat cap at home 😁 I love them ❤
Lisa, I would love to see a video about your physical exercises for your shoulders! I've had hunched shoulders for YEARS and I'm always looking for tips!
You should definitely receive a medal for being, possibly, the nicest person in the world. Such a kind, generous and positive personality. Re Podcasts, I enjoyed the Jinny Blom ones which were released at the end of last year - gardening but much more expansive than that; architecture and more mind expansive things
Welcome to the black community Lisa. We have been doing something very very similar to this with our hair for a 100 yrs. lol. You’re fantastic. …..I do most everything you say and am better for it! But..as a black girl I’m already there and have been here for years with this one. ❤
@@itsbrimeeks Fo sho. We have been doing this for years and years. Now .... Our lovely counter parts are going to pay all this money for something we have been doing in our kitchen since we landed on US soil. 😂. I love Lisa though. I have learned immensely from her technique. It's a beautiful product though.
My grandmother used to do this to us when we were little when we were at the Bay house on the water and if we had a rainy day she would like us all up and teach us hair skin nails treatments. I'm 63 so 50 or 55 years ago. No clue what concoction she was putting in our hair lol.
Hello Lisa. First thank you for the great customer service replacing Velvet Duchess when she broke. Also Dr Idriss is amazing. But CT sued her and now she has to change from Pillow Talk Derm to Dr Idriss. That was ugly of CT IMHO. Her Saturday morning Derm sessions while in her pajamas were wonderful.
What a lovely surprise and treat to see you back, especially on a cold and dark January evening! Happy New Year Lisa, wishing you every happiness this year ❤
YES! Posture is SO important, particularly when you're on the wrong side of 60, because it doesn't matter how good your skin care routine is, if you've got "old lady posture" that just broadcasts your age.
I love the “Dressed” podcast, it’s hosted by two fashion historians. They have several seasons now but I recommend starting at season one because they cover many legendary couturiers like Worth and Poiret etc. As the seasons have progressed they have covered all sorts of fashion and history subjects and interviewed fascinating people 💋
Yeeees please do the video about the foam roller and whatever hunch-related content you have in mind!!! I m sure lots of us relate, especially in winter
Yes PLEASE do make a video about 'beauty' excercises for upper back/shoulders! I recently got myself a foam roller and have started to use it for my back in the same way you described. I'm super curious about all your tips and tricks on that topic. Tight back of the neck and shoulders really are something I'm trying to figure out how to best relax :)))
I bet you’d like the podcast Noble Blood! The episodes are about the right length and have that historical storytelling style about them that makes them really easy to listen to. Edit: I also recommend Unobscured (Season 4 in particular, about Rasputin and the Romanovs) and You Must Remember This, which would be right up your alley!
Hi Lisa, Ive watched you from late teens and im now in my 30s and have 2 babies under 2. I’ve been reclaiming 15 minutes in the evenings for skincare and facial massage and it helps me look less tired 😂 I know you love a lactic acid mask by dermatologica and in Ireland a brand called Skingredients do a product called “AHA cleanse” which can also be used as a treatment mask with lactic acid as active ingredient. No affiliation with the brand but it’s a lovely product to check out. You have honestly educated me so much on make up, skincare and more importantly SPF in your time on RU-vid so thank you!!! I work in a chemistry laboratory and your technical knowledge on ingredients is astounding ❤
Lisa! The timing of this video is uncanny, I’ve been practically drenching my hair in hair masques and avoiding heat styling as I’m trying to grow it out lol! Your hair looks absolutely amazing 🤩 Please do share your tips on dealing with posture issues as a makeup artist. I feel like it’s little discussed in the beauty community 😮 it’s so nice to see what new products you have been trying! Always a joy watching your videos ❤❤
I absolutely love this video! I'm always waiting for what you love using or find interesting. I've been buying your favourites every single year 10 years now and I've never seen a product that I didn't end up repurchasing as well. Also your favourites boost my mood every single time. I'm going to buy this fun expensive light thing. It's actually price per wear girl math, not that expensive. I appreciate it and enjoying this so much! I can't wait for a back/shoulders exercises and all the tips video. Your roses colors are so pretty. Your hair looks amazing! Love you so much 🥰🥰🥰🤗
I've almost gotten a Celluma several times! I use a similar product and it is truly the closest to a rosacea cure that I've ever experienced. It keeps the redness dampened and between this and nanocurrent, my skin texture is so much better. And yes, I'd absolutely watch something about how you've cared for your upper back! I have always suffered from upper back pain and tightness and really struggled to stretch it out effectively. Would adore a video on it!
Love you Lisa! I am 52 and deep in perimenopause and these hair treatments and skin treatments sound wonderful for me! Thanks much for the recommendations and wishing you a happy and healthy new year 🎉
Lisa, I have to thank you. Ever since using an eye cream product years ago which permanently damaged my skin, I have suffered with dry, flaky, sore and itchy eyelids. On receiving a sample of your cleanser with a lipstick I ordered, I tried it out, over my eyelids as well, Keeping my fingers crossed I wouldn’t get a reaction. Well, 7 days later, and my eyelids are still not dry, not flaky, and not itchy and I am astounded. When I run my finger across my lids, they’re smooth, not bumpy and dry. This is a game changer for me, as I have avoided eye make up for years; being a lover of makeup up this has been really awful. I am now waiting for your cleanser to come back into stock and I am going to order some eye make up from you too. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏
Lovely catch and some great products to look into! But the best part was seeing Ted looking fabulous as always. Also made me laugh when your husband refused your gift request 😂
Yes to back exercises video, please Lisa! I'm also loving red light treatments - recently purchased The Light Salon mask and also the Current Body Lip Perfector and, of course, your cleanser is my absolute favourite for my second cleanse and treatment mask! Luckily, I've still got enough to tide me over until your restock! :)
I get my hair cut often so have very little damage, even though I have bleach highlights…but when my hair was long, I wrapped my head in Saran Wrap and would just aim a blow dryer all over my head for 15 minutes, while I read a book. Lately I’ve been loving Keratase hair products, especially their treatment oil and blow dry creams. The trick with oils on fine hair is to just use the tiniest amount, while the hair is still wet.
Lisa ive been wondering what you have been doing as your skin has been looking better and better, and im so glad you shared. I do know your cleanser which i love is probably also a big part of it.(editing to say you said this and i agree it is so amazing) I also wanted to say i love the honesty about feeling nervous to share but as you said you work hard, and you deserve it!!!! ❤
Hey Lisa, absolute fan of yours. As a curly hair girl and avid user of the natural silicone and sulphate free line up. Do make sure you are now regularly clarifying your hair and scalp for buildup of the natural oils and butters, this can lead to hair loss and protein overload. A regular sulphate shampoo 2x a month works well. ❤
Always delighted to watch a video with Lisa and Ted! And I enjoyed the reviews!! My favorite history podcast is "Significant Others" by Liza Powel O’Brien (an American playwright and history enthusiast). Significant Others is about folks -- often women -- just beyond the spotlight of history. Each episode tells the story of a talented, difficult and little-known individual who altered the destiny of their better-known partner, child, sibling, or friend, and impacted the world they left behind.
Ahhhh TED! 🥹🤩 BEAUTIFUL boy, what an absolute treat at the end! Loved this video and yes purr-lease to the stretching video, I need the back tips 🤣 mine hates me! ❤️
As a teacher, I also am hunching over and looking down at students' work. I swear by yoga to unwind that daily hunching over. And the roller is utter magic and physio ball to do back bends over. Brilliant!
We are hair twins and your hair looks so pretty and hydrated. I have the small panel in the Celluma. You go girl and treat yourself. I love being at home this time of year as well. Lots of Love and the happiest New Year to you! xo
I love you Lisa you are so beautiful inside and out, always inspiring. Elegant, down to earth and kind. You are absolutely ethereal, whatever you do is working!
Lisa, I've seen Instagram advertisements for spatulas meant to scoop out cosmetics. They come in various lengths and they fit into small openings. I think that'll come in handy to scoop out Rahua.
Lisa, you look amazing, and YES we need exercise video, please! 🫶 Also, thank you for the LED mask recommendation, I am really looking into the Platinum therapy ones and gathering courage 😅 I wish you a brighter January and February, they seem so still, but they are also so calmingly quiet and space giving.🤍
Yes yes yes! Any video on how to straighten your back is more than welcome ❤ I love the idea of hibernation and pampering until the sun comes out again. In case it helps: there are many tiny spatulas on Amazon with a very long handle and even a spoon shape at the top to scoop out product for cosmetics and cooking purposes. They are very helpful, specially for glass jars 😊
Hey Lisa! Love love love your channel!!! I’ve learned so much from following you and really enjoy the style and content of your videos! If you are looking for ideas for future videos, I’d personally love to see a “back to basics” series, ie videos on general techniques for everyday makeup application, such as how to properly apply mascara, types of foundations and how to find the best shade and texture for your skin type and application techniques, how to correctly prep lips and apply liner and lipstick, etc! I think you did a series like this in the early days of your channel, but would love to see a new, improved and updated version since I’m sure you’ve learned new tricks and tips since then! You are so talented! ❤
"Add to basket" on all your recommended products :D I looove your videos, have been a fan for a decade and I always appreciated that none of it is sponsored. Which resulted in amazing recommendations that actually work! Plus, I come to your videos for the comment section as well. You've created such a warm, inspiring and helping community! Wrote down several products and podcasts from the comments as well! Thank you for always being you and sharing all of this with us!
i love the way it is so soothingly delight! It's like a chat with a friend, and I appreciate your genuine recommendations. Your skincare journey reminds me of the transformative discussions my life coach, Lisa Haisha, often shares during her insightful retreats here in the Philippines. The calming and empowering atmosphere she creates in those retreats seems to align with the tranquility and self-care vibes you bring to your content. please keep making this kind of videos xoxo!
About the hair mask bottle problem, maybe if you microwave it a bit (at low setting) you can manage to melt it enough to get it out and transfer it to a pot 🌟🌟🌟 Otherwise, using a bowl with hot water in it might get the job done as well! Let us know 😀
These are my absolute favourite videos from you! Everything I've bought on your recommendation has been amazing! (I was using my nuface watching this and I squealed when you brought yours out too!) I saw a dermatologist recently who complimented my skin and I can honestly say that's from years and years following your skincare advice. ❤❤❤
Lisa, I’m sitting here with the Nefertiti cap 😂 based on your recommendation. Your hair looks great. I’d love to hear your tips on how to straighten your back and shoulders. ❤
Hi lisa, you can use the celluma pro infrared light for pain relief (frozen shoulder and back). Celluma has three setting blue acne, red wrinkles (collagen), and infrared pain.
I've been using the treatment cleanser for a few months now and I have seen such an improvement in my skin. I can even skip moisturiser afterwards. I wouldn't use any other cleanser now. The cloths are equally amazing - I love the ritual of using them :)
My mother had a hair salon throughout the 70s snd 80s in Australia and I remember the metal 'steam dome' thing on wheels that was a staple in every salon in those days. At home, my mum would always wrap her head in cling wrap for 20min whenever she put a treatment on to achieve the same effect.
Great video, Lisa. Your hair looks fantastic. I can see a difference and your face looks lovely too. I love the fact that you don’t do sponsored videos. It’s just like having a friend give you honest advice. A back/shoulder video would be much appreciated. Please always include your cat! He is so adorable and makes me smile after a hard day at work.
Yes please! I would love to watch a video about posture enhancing exercises ❤ I’m already curling over here from sitting so much in front of the computer - must do something 😅
Oh Lisa, I would truly appreciate it if you could do that video on back exercises. I have broken my back and neck. I go to p t several times a week to help with the pain. I would love to see what you have to share. Thank you. 🙏🏼❤️
Korean hair are has something similar but more like a one time use type of thing. But, the brand mise en scène has a volume care steam effect hair cap for a travel type of hair mask! Love your videos Lisa! ❤
Turn your Rahua upside down in a glass and let gravity pull it down to the opening, then put it in a glass of hot water. It will melt the outside layer and you can get almost all out. I LOVE your cleanser too! Can't wait for it to be back in stock online so I can get a new tube!
The cleanser is absolutely incredible!! My skin looks better than even just from using it! Absolutely love it 🙏🙏 And yes, please, the whole video about shoulders and back exercises!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
No podcast recommendation but would definitely recommend audiobooks. Once you get into them, its really handy for times like waiting for face masks erc 😂 your local library should have books you can download for free or there is also Audible of course which has a huge catalogue
Yes to the upperback/shoulder exercise video! I love your haul and beautycare routine videos! Feels like listening to a podcast or a friend, it's like a bright and cozy warm teatime❤️ I put it on and it s instantly soothing💕 had this on while i was peeling carrots haha
@@LisaEldridge thanks for replying! These kinds of vids you posted during covid i would turn them on in the background while i was doing coursework for my postgraduate degree (which was rly challenging to do during covid).. it was so calming during a hard time :) I rly admire your apporoach to things and your integrity and staying graciously true to yourself and others, and i rly want to emulate your approach to things in my career, and i sometimes think of your vibes when i am being too harsh and tense with myself💕
For the bottle with the broken pump, see if you have another pump that you can fit on the bottle. If it's just the plastic tube that's broken, another one should fit on the connection on the pump. I've been using Joico Kpak reconstructor mask and line for years, and the moisture balm mask. My hair is so healthy, hair dressers always comment on how healthy it is, and I get blonde foils. I've tried so many new brands over the years but always stick with the Joico brand. They've been around for decades,, because it's that good ., plus cruelty free. 🐇
My favourite podcast is Ologies, the episodes are about 1,5h long interviews with specialists in different fields BUT they also do shorter, condensed versions called Smologies! I highly recommend to all nerdy people :)
Hello Lisa. Back in the 60s and 70s, we did heated hair conditioning in the depths of South America, in Paraguay: you would go to a hair salon and after shampooing, your hsirdresser would apply a thick cream conditioner, put a shower cap or dome plastic wrap on your wet head, and sat you under those old fashioned metal hood hair dryers. The cream was usually Wella, from Deutschland...andbif they did this in Paraguay, I'm sure they fid itvin Argentina, Brazil...and Europe. Ask your mother 😊
i would love to have a video on shoulder health tips, too! in my line of work, i tend to hunch over and be tense a lot. that would be super helpful. thank you. love all the products you mentioned. i'd love to get the hair product!
I'm a teacher and because of the grading and the preparation of the lessons I tend to hunch my shoulders. So a video for tips and exercises would be great.
Anderson Cooper has a podcast called All There Is and it's about Grief and Grieving so it's one that may or may not be good for where you are in your life now but it is very very very good and I listened to the first season a year ago and find myself thinking about things that were said in that all the time. Also of course 'Serial' was a great one if you like true crime. And 'Ninety Nine Percent Invisible' is an all time favorite as well.
This is so funny, I never leave comments on RU-vid, but when you ask for a podcast and you said you liked history, my favourite one is called rabbit hole, detectives. It’s with Dr Cap, Gilman, Richard, Coles and Charles Spencer it’s my favourite😂
Thank you, Lisa for this video. During this cold time of the year, it would be lovely to hear about your passion for teas- types of tea and brands, teaware, etc. I believe you mentioned on a few occasions that rooibos is one of your favorites.
I have been in absolute agony with my frozen shoulder - first with the freezing and then not getting back the mobility I hoped for in the thawing stage. I would absolutely love to see what you are doing that is working for you. Please, please make a video!
