Chill is not equal to lazy Rachel. I am an islander and we are industrious, hard working people. Just because we are not corporate and running around like programmed ants does not mean that we are lazy. And yes, we live and then work and not work and then live. That's the best way baby. Your opinion of islanders as lazy is incorrect. We are laid back yes, and that is because we enjoy the good natural way of living, it's not because we are lazy. Come to the Caribbean and guaranteed you will see that what you think of islanders is not correct. We work just as hard as people everywhere, we just know how to enjoy life better which means that we are not rushed, we savor and appreciate.
@Wildearthlover i think you took it quite seriously but Island life is real and there is nothing wrong with it. Maybe Rachel used a Kenyanese demeanor to relay the point, I don't know. When I go to Hawaii even on a job contract, our Coast of Mombasa in Kenya, Zanzibar and most Tanzania, Saipan, Guam, Florida Keys....life is much much muuuuuch slower. Supermarkets/stores close early and there will be just one 24hr store miles away or none, businesses shut after 5p, govt offices are the slowest...I could go on and on. That's why we visit islands 🏝 to slow down.
Malta is a country that has people who are laid back and chilled. There is nothing wrong with slow pace. If you don’t like spontaneous people don’t be friends with them, if you don’t like going with the flow then gosh go to New York and live a fast past life 😂
I guess Maltese roads are something similar to some Italian town roads and the chill vibes. La dolce Vita Rachael. I do like the chill vibes! Afternoon naps, aperitivos and evening walks! It's such a vibe and different from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi.
she does have valid complaints, but the traffic issue has been there forever, as a Maltese person I already know that you avoid driving as much as possible in Malta. And the lack of footpaths for running, etc. well, to be fair Malta is that tiny that their streets are too narrow for footpaths, they don't have the luxury of space.
Many do not understand the struggle people have to go through in other countries for work though - commuting long distances, competitiveness for jobs, exorbitant living expenses, etc, and are not a little complacent about their 'status'.
Drunk drivers are also a major issue here in Greece as every year thousands of people die in car accidents because they are drunk and the most annoying pat of the whole story the government does nothing to counter this problem
There is a saying People who live in glass houses should not throw stones, before you go and criticize any country you SHOULD HAVE A VERY HARD LOOK IN YOUR OWN BACK YARD.
I can't answer your question as I don't live and never been there. Though I'd continue your research, consider your options and consider going for a short visit. No matter what you hear take with a grain of salt. You might find certain locations or populations are more open and welcoming than others.
Hi Racheal, I just wish I was in you pocket....I love 💕 traveling, never had a chance to travel....would love to travel with you someday.... kindly make a to trip to swezerland , I love 😘💕 the country so much .. make a video of it want to more of it...

Don't agree about the food (!). I have lived on Gozo for about 4 years and feed some of the stray cats in my village. I find the attitude to these domestic animals living wild very backward - apart from neutering, little is done to find homes for these homeless animals.
Ring ding 🛎!!!!having lived for years in US then country hoping in South EU since 2017, I motion to NOT strike, WE the delegation will allow all 10 testimonies. Thank you sharing the absolute reality of South Europe, jaber si you forgot them dirty streets, smell of mold as these countries are ANTIQUITY, wall peeing, the spitting, uncleanliness of them in uppity gyms and restaurants ( not washing hands or flashing toilets). Those were my additional mentions kindly 😉 Asante, Ciao!!
