Mah boy Gilby! I was so glad that I caught you on live recently! Always a blast to hear you share your thoughts! Thanks for always posting Gilby. I don't think we can appreciate you enough for letting us see your life. The past 3 years of my life have almost felt like a living nightmare. But watching your videos were one of the few times that I have felt peace in this past year of life as I'm fighting to put everything back together. In a way, you make me go back to "videos" of my life in my mind, even though I only have a hand full of photos to prove that my "back in the day" happened. I often wonder "While Gilby was buying this new camera, what was I doing in this world?" You need a movie man. That's how much I appreciate this.
For a species relying so heavily on technology nowadays, they sure don’t make it easy I hear you on that. We have grown so attached to our phones, internet and social media. And as a result, we grown so far apart and have lost all respect for our fellow man it’s such a shame.
Nowadays, finding a date is difficult, especially with online dating. In the good old days, online dating sites were free, and people actually went out to find their partners.
Gil, first of all, thank you for all your videos. I’m a little older than you, 58. People often long for the past, the good old days, that’s true. I feel like right now is the best time to be alive. People are more accepting now I feel. I don’t forget the horrible narrow mindedness of the 80’s…if you were a little different, it was hell. I’ve learned to embrace and love all the decades I’ve lived in, including this one and the next. Life is such a gift. Embrace your unemployment, your future employment and everything in between. One hundred years, all new people.
And they said back in the days that computer's are the future ... it destroyed kids not playing outside like we did in the 70s and 80s.. why does 5th 6th , 7th, and 8th graders need phones 📱 ???
Life was better before sophisticated computers in so many ways. The cell phone (computer) is the biggest destruction to society. I like it when I just had a tape deck in my bedroom as a kid, 13 channels on the TV and a simple gaming system. NOw, there's just too much gadgets and distractions....
I was born in 86 so we are from a different generation but I grew up in the late 80s and 90s. I am nostalgic of these 2 decades, most probably because I was a kid and as a kid, I didn't have real responsabilities and felt super free. I miss the simplicity of riding my bike to friends houses and spend the afternoon playing videogames, or playing soccer or baseball at our local park. Again, my perception my be biased as I remember these decades through the eyes of a child but it was the good old days.
I hate having a password alteady but they want you to change a new password every three months. Then you cant use a password you already used . Fir what ? Its not a corporation email dealing with money. I dont understand all the password chages either
You are right Gilbert way too many subscriptions! Also way too many youtubers have a patreon which is like a subscription service anywhere from $3 to $25 a month it may not sound like a ton of money but it adds up so quick!!! after a month or two a lot of people cancel their membership subscriptions!!
Luckily, I've never broken the screen of any of my smartphones. I always use a screen protector and a case. I also don't buy a new one every year. I had the S20 FE 5G for almost four years and have now upgraded to the S24 Plus. The technological advancements in smartphones each year are so small now that it's absolutely unnecessary to get a new one every year
Dating! I used to only have to compete with the other guys on my block! Now i gotta compete with all these mfers that live all over the whole state/city! Ugh
When I first got a cell phone, there was no texting or internet,so everyone was not always looking at their phones,I hate the passwords, use one upper case, lower case, symbol, etc,my parents got a VCR,I ended up getting one just like their's,it was a little hard to program it to record shows, later I bought the camcorder,it cost a lot.
I dont like fast food places asking for tips when you pay, you never had that back in the day. they try to make you feel bad if you dont. I dont tip those places ever. only restaurants that actually serve me and have a waiter i do.
dang he going on a rant🤣 but yes does make a lot of sense even tho technology makes things simpler these days and the wealth of information that is out there now and the ease to find something we are looking for although the early to mid 90s were the best times ever everybody had money and this country owed nobody money
In the 70s and 80s everything was good, Heavy Metal music and good MTV, good shows and movies, the atmosphere, the people, places, in short, very good frequency. Now 2024 nothing looks good, horrible frequency, the music is garbage, the movies are garbage, including the "artists". The world already needs a total reset.
Haha 😛 they haven’t made breathing 😮💨 a subscription model for Gil 😂 if’s they could they would if they could 😂try using your debit card PIN number in as a password I use that instead on windows 10 or newer you can used that method for 8 years and it never fails Gil just a idea 💡now there’s too much information ℹ️ and you can’t figure it out on your own
I agree. We are moving away from where we own our stuff and instead basically rent it from the OEM's. If you try and fix your own device that you purchased outright, they'll claim you voided the warranty, apple even makes sure that you can't buy the replacement parts from their manufactures. @louisrossmann has a channel about fixing apple macbooks and the stories he has are unbelievable.
