Starts with J || it's in Chinese. And during my CCE lessons, NOBODY listens and plays with slime instead. We don't understand and feel that it is useless. And even if the teacher tells us the meaning of the characters and 'meaningful and character building' words of the 弟子贵，we would forget by recess since our lessons were two periods before it, everyone was focused on the time, who they would go with, what should they eat or just reading a book under their table. I admit that I also do not pay attention. Maybe in English it would've been better. But I don't think this has impacted my lives whatsoever, or anyone who complaint to me because-( I'm a complainer hahaha the queen of it actually)

THE ANONYMOUS MEE I have forgotten at what age I had 好公民 but judging by what you said, it seems like it is taught at upper primary level. Kids that age have the tendency to be rebellious so they tend to do the "cool stuff" as they don't want to seem nerdy. Thus, they would not bother with subjects like this. I do remember that I was one of them. But at my age now, I view things differently and by looking at kids nowadays, many do not know what respect and manners are. But I do agree that they should teach it in English as it will probably appeal to them more. Also, I think that it should be taught at a younger age like maybe from kindergarten or primary 1 as they would be more receptive and obedient.

Starts with J Actually they teach it to every level now, even P1. Im in P6 so i know. Its in chinese (kinda boring too) and my school is a catholic school so we have cathecism but those who are non catholic will take Ethics which teaches you abt morals and stuff ( a little boring tho ). I take Ethics, being a free thinker myself.

Even adults need reminders of basics sometimes.
