I believe the technical term for that piece of machinery that you showed us is a "horsey go up down stick". And that's why I didn't finish my engineering degree.
Hey Tim! If you ask the cast members for condiments from the back bc you’re not comfortable with the situation they have right now, they will get you some from the back where people haven’t touched them!
George Levins yes he could have but, he’s clearly not comfortable so I just added some advice for next time 😊 cast members want to make sure guests are happy and comfortable!
When you were on the Carousel, I honestly thought that you said that you were looking forward to eventually riding it with Janet Jackson (instead of Jen and Jackson 😂)-Ha!
Take a couple of sanitizing wipes in a ziplock bag with you so that you can sanitize condiment packets , use hand sanitizer on your hands, and put the condiments on your hot dog! Enjoy!!
At that location everything is grab and go and not in individual packets. You have to grab a cup and fill it up in order to get condiments unfortunately
@@LivesLaughsLoves0323 due to covid19, all restaurants (in most of the country, and certainly at disney) have removed all self-serve condiment stations. All restaurants now only offer condiment packets.
I know you're probably joking, but I've seen people bring in open boxes of take-out through security into the parks. This was pre-covid, but they don't care.
@@a.pearson5250 Someone in front of me on a ride definitely had a plastic bag with sushi in it. I could smell it and I was so confused because sushi is the worst park food.
i’m shocked that disney still has the communal bins of condiments filled. the universal parks have emptied those bins and give them to you upon request.
Honestly I’d be more afraid of getting into the elevator of Astro Orbitor and breathing in that small room than a few mustard packets. Clean them off with some wipes then clean your hands good to go.
William Dunn and you were watching your TV, then read comments on what you were watching, then decided to fire up your computer and decided to comment on someone’s comment.
Correct. Check out the CDC guidance. It’s not a food borne or even usually a surface contact transmitted illness. Wear your mask, don’t get too close to others and wash your hands frequently and you’re good to go.
My suggestion is to bring some sort of hand sanitizer or some sort of sanitizing wipes with you to the park. Use them to sanitize condiment packets, utensils, and various others things that you may have to grab and pick up from a publicly used area. Or just ask the cast member when you get your food for condiment packets from behind the counter because you don't feel comfortable grabbing the ones that are sitting out. This is understandable especially if you have young ones with you.
Two things about the condiments, CDC said it is not likely to contract the virus from surfaces. Also, a simple remedy for it, just take some disinfecting wipes. Wipe it down. Easy fix. Glad you got your dog.
I really love you TIm but seriously, all you had to do was sanitize the condiment packets and your hands. There is no difference between touching condiment packets and touching the bars/ handrails on the different rides in the park
True but your not putting your hands in your mouth after you touch the bars/ handrails on different rides. - he would be touching the condiments from a bin with his hands that others have touched and then picking up a hotdog and eating it. So I could see him wanting to not touch them( I would do the same) ....just my thoughts 😊
himynameisjme I hear what you are saying. My thoughts were touching rides / buckling yourself in ...washing hands - no problem - remember they are sanitizing the rides vs touching food packets that others touched - opening them / placing them on food and then washing hands - not knowing if you had carried germs into the food you are going to eat prior to hand washing . I’m kind of a germ nut anyways lol - so I take extreme cautions 😇 - it’s really everyone’s comfort level at this point - whatever makes one feel “safe” during these times I’m cool with 😊
Don’t see condiments as a big deal. Squeeze the mustard or ketchup out without touching anything. Or sanitize the packets if you’re really scared. Then after you’re finished sanitize your hands and eat.
Great park vlog as always, it always amazes me how much of a keen eye for detail you have Tim, I think the little hidden sights that you show us are a great bonus for those of us who rush from ride to ride and miss these finer details. Hope your week has started well and you are all keeping well. 🥰
I feel so bad for Tim and Jen, they are both such good people, and they try so hard to please everyone, which is just impossible. Just keep doing what you guys feel comfortable with, and im sorry you have to listen to/deal with all the negativity from people but just try to ignore it and know that you guys are great. keep doing what you do!! I pray to someday come to WDW and I hope I get to meet you guys, not just Tim, but Jen and Jackson too!! Much Disney Love ♥♥♥
I don’t understand why you couldn’t put condiments on? The product is sealed inside the package. I would have just used your hand sanitizer the clean off the package if that was the concern.
I believe he was concerned that other ppl may have touched some of those packets. He could have just used a napkin to pull out some condiment packets. I think he's being a tad bit too paranoid about some things..
I’m all for be cautions and taking precautions such as using a mask, washing and sanitizing hands and staying physically distant from others, but honestly. I would not think twice about grabbing some packets of ketchup and mustard. Again. I would just sanitize my hands after.
Let Tim do Tim. I was not comfortable using condiment packets before all of this, especially when left out for customers or when handled by the employees who also handle cash. Everything the experts know about SARS-cov2 and every other virus or bacteria is just current generally accepted information - does not mean that it is fact. That's science, baby!
Absolutely! We just got back from spending a week there & even with the heat, the masks & a scaled-back Disney, it was the trip of a lifetime for someone who hates crowds & long lines. We had a blast & can't wait to return in 39 days!
God I so wish I could go like right at this moment simply because of no lines, no wait. I avoided Disney for a long time because it was SEVERELY over crowded.
I just got back from a week at WDW and it was a dream! I loved every second of it and really don’t feel like I missed anything. In many ways it seems even more magical right now.
When you were talking about the faux diamond and the boat’s horn sounded, it was like you were swearing and being bleeped out - the timing was perfect! 😆😆
Tim, wow thank you for talking about 20,000 Leagues and Harper Goff. It was my favorite attraction and is my favorite live action Disney film. While I’m sure many still love it, it almost seems forgotten, so I was happily surprised to hear you mention it 👍🏼 Great work Jenn as always, best wishes to about all 3 of you! 👋🏼😁
Funny you should mention that and I happen to see your comment. There was one line Tim said in today's video and I thought, "Man, I bet Tim does a killer Kermit impression."
My husband said the same thing. He even played their voices back to back and I couldn’t believe the similarities. The good thing is, Kermit is just as “kool” as the Trackers.
I’m pretty sure Tim has been seeing people saying this in the comments for years, he might be aware of it lmao 😂 but it’s honestly so true. He should be Kermit for Halloween this year
How funny! We saw you recording on our way out last night and I wondered if I would come across your video. Thanks to the algorithm, I did! Gotta love it.
Hi Tim and Jenn !! Could you please do a sunset time lapse? I remember you used to set them up a lot at your old house by the pool. Florida sunsets are so beautiful!! Thanks for your great videos. Love the HomeVlogs and park videos.
We all look forward to seeing Jenn and Jackson at the parks again too, but don’t feel rushed! We want you to feel safe and comfortable with Jackson there, however long that takes. He will be so adorable once he gets back on a ride- some of my favorite home videos are from when my kids were toddlers going on rides for the first time! Their excitement on merry go rounds and little trains was precious, and I’m sure Jackson’s will be as well!
The Columbia Harbor House sign looks like it’s an Eagle holding it (hence Liberty Square) and the chicken and fish could be because of what it serves? I need to look up and around more, but the crowd sizes kind of prohibit that. 😔
I don’t feel some of your priorities are right! You’ll happily jump in a lift, use the handles etc on a ride etc but won’t pick up a sachet of ketchup 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t get it Just use gloves or sanitiser!
His priorities are fine. He can control how often he washes his hands and he showers as soon as he gets home, he can't control how often other people wash their hands before they touch things. Is it really that important to you that he didn't use condiments? Why are you even watching if that alone bothers you so much? 😂
Take the condiments and Purell your hands. I’m older and have a suppressed immune system. I am extremely careful with everything I do. Even I would grab a packet of mustard and ketchup!!
I am truly amazed at the lack of people at MK even late in the day. I remember throngs of people one side of Main Street to the other when I was there as you were leaving. Felt like you couldn't breathe at times. What a difference! You can feel it even on your video. Thanks Tim for all you do.
I don’t see why people in the comments seem to have such a big problem with him using his own condiments...lol, just let the man do what makes him feel safe, I don’t see why it matters so much
This is from Wikipedia: The lagoon remained as a scenic viewpoint (and was renamed "Ariel's Grotto", complete with a King Triton spouting statue) until 2004, when the water was drained and the sets and infrastructure were demolished. Pooh's Playful Spot was built where the attraction formerly stood and operated between 2005 and 2010[5] before making way for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as part of the Fantasyland Expansion. However, the exterior to The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure contains a silhouette of the Nautilus in a rock wall[6] and the tiki bar Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort serves a cocktail called the "Nautilus"[7] which is itself served in a stylized drinking vessel resembling the submarine.[8].
Sanatising your hands (after being on rides) then touching your food would bascially be the same as sanatising your hands after opening your packet of sauce. So i don't see what the issue was.
haha I laughed so hard when the horn from the liberty bell went off when you were talking! I can't believe how short the line ups are! Funny the details you miss when it is busy! oh I want that popcorn bucket!
Awesome time laps. Love seeing the little details. This video is a little different and enjoy that you did different rides. Good call on the condiments, good luck on your next hot dog adventure.
I know you're taking it extra cautious, which is great, but in my personal view I think you were overreacting on the condiment packets. Given the evidence that COVID-19 does not spread easily via surfaces, I think you can be safe using the packets. I would recommend setting your hot dog down, applying the condiments being careful not to touch the packets to the meat, set the packets aside, and then sanitize your hands before eating.
While what you say is true, don't forget that Florida is pretty much THE hot spot in the US for COVID infections right now. I can't fault Tim, or anyone, for being extra cautious. Yes, as you and others have mentioned, there are ways that Tim can get and use condiments without the risk of exposure. And probably next time, he'll do something like that. As it is, I just enjoy watching the videos that Tim & Jenn bring us each day.
David Melgar For me, it’s the fact that he’ll go on a high touch ride like the carousel which they clean every 2 hours but not gently reach for a packet of sauce. His logic is very unique.
@@user-kt3zm6xg5f he doesn't touch the bar of the carousel, he's already said that.. he's also said his clothes go in the washer and he gets in the shower as soon as he gets home. How hard is it to respect other peoples comfort levels? Does it really matter to you that he didn't use condiments? Lol
@@chrisanthonyphillips4663 seems a little over dramatic to just not simply respect other people's comfort levels. He can control how close he is to other people and how often he washes his hands after rides, he can't control the people that touched the condiments. Does it really matter that much to you that he didn't use condiments? Lol
My family and I look forward to your Disney World videos all week, we love Disney and live in NY. We cant travel down there without isolating ourselves when we come home. we have a trip planned for December but leaning towards re-booking. Thank you for bringing our Disney love to our lives during this crazyness.
Tim: let me go do a high risk activity like go to a theme park ALL DAY. Also Tim: Whoa, I can’t touch that ketchup packet because it is in a bin! (Even though Covid has a low chance of spreading through touched objects).
I’m sorry, but if the guy is THAT fearful where he finds himself sanitizing every 10 minutes...maybe he should just not go to a theme park, especially with a small child at home? But, ya know...money and views....
It always makes me sad when the Peoplemover is down. I love that ride, it's weirdly fun and I always hope and wish that Disneyland somehow brings it back.
@@patio87 yeah, really, going to the parks right now is more scary than grabbing a packet of ketchup. Hand sanitize before and after like you do when you eat. It doesn't make any sense
The Eagle holding a chicken holding a fish it’s to show what the restaurant serves back in medieval times not everyone could read so that was how to tell what a restaurant would serve and a second fun fact on the fantasy land side (if I recall correctly) the Eagle is holding an olive branch in its left hand I believe which signifies America is at war which fits with the theming of library square
