That clarification is worth a lot for a Swede (meaning a person from Sweden, not that I think that info is necessary) that has never set a foot in Pensacola (but I HAVE been in Florida, though).
Absolutely hilarious!! Gotta love Pensacola! Especially the Jay joke (and I am Black and had to play a football game in Jay once) and not putting on the parking brake @ Olive Garden aka Cordova Mountain! After graduating from high school there and moving back to Atlanta 30 plus years ago (the Navy brought my family to Pensacola) this was refreshing to find! Keep em' coming!
We are moving to Pensacola next month from up North. This makes me laugh. Love learning the about the way of life down there. I am originally from SE. Hey there! Jay is a small town near Pensacola. It has a history of being pretty racist and it still has that reputation now (though it has gotten better...I think). So the joke is that my black friend is saying he feels really safe and welcomed in Jay, which is something "no one in Pensacola" would say.
