Depends on what you want. But life in Taiwan is generally easy, even if you choose small cities, you can still be fine. If you want a fast going life then cities like Taipei and Taichung would be good for you

Hey. I haven’t come across someone getting paid biweekly. It’s usually a month to month basis. And that would depend on your employer really. I’ve never left before a contract ended, so I’m not sure.

Hi, I unfortunately can’t give you advice on that as it is something you must decide for yourself. Look at your reasons for wanting to leave and compare them with your current job. Once you know why then it should be easier. Check the salary prospect of things and compare them with your current. Hey Jane. Unfortunately the only African country that is recognized to be a native speaking country by the government in Taiwan is South Africa. If you do have the right qualifications, I suggest you join Facebook groups for teachers in Taiwan where they share posts for international schools and cram schools, you might stand a better chance there given that you have the correct documentation to come into the country. I know a few people who are from West Africa and they are working in cram schools.

@@megad203 schools that operate after the normal school hours. They mainly focus on teaching English

If you’re struggling to add the address, go to your nearest 7/11 and ask them to put down theirs. Alternatively you can also copy it from the internet and put it down yourself. For products, you can type in English on the search bar and if the items are available they’ll appear there

Yep. The first break is between Jan-Feb

They give you a rent allowance which is capped at a certain amount. So if you find an apartment that you like and it’s more than the allowance, you’ll top up that amount yourself.
