I lived there from 72-97. Loved it. Miss it. It sure has changed from when I lived there. But it looks very nice Thanks for your video.

Hi! Thanks so much for this wonderful video. I’m an upcoming student at OWU and I have a few questions I hope you don’t mind to answer. 1. Do you have any honest opinion on the safety there? 2. Can students get jobs at the restaurants and cafes? 3. Are there many opportunities in terms of networking and outreach? 4. I heard it’s quite a small town. Does it have access to common retail stores etc or must we travel to Columbus for that? 5. Are there natural spots for hiking or running? 6. Is the living cost affordable (lower than in the big city of Columbus)? I hope you keep making these videos. Very informative and detailed, love it! Thanks very much. Stay safe and take care.

Hello Alle, Thank you so much for watching my video and congrats on your admission to OWU! I’ll try to do my best in answering your questions. 1. Checkout Delaware County, OHIO, Sheriff’s Office. They just posted their 2020 annual report. 2. Absolutely! I’ve seen tons of college students working at the restaurants and cafes. 3. Networking and outreach - I’d see what OWU offers. Most colleges have networking and outreach opportunities available. What’s Up in Delaware, OH is a great FB page to follow as well. 4. Tons of shopping in Delaware County! You’ll need a car but closest to campus is Walmart, Meijer, Kohls, Big Lots, many grocery stores. The Delaware exit at interstate 71 has a large outlet mall. Polaris area is an exit south. Polaris Mall, Ikea, restaurants, activities. 5. Delaware State Park is to the north. Alum Creek State Park is east, and Highbanks Metro Park is south. 6. Yes, cost of living is lower than downtown Columbus and even some of its other suburbs. Thanks again for watching! I’m glad it was helpful. Best wishes as you get started at OWU!
