We are on an Alaska roadtrip in our 2013 Ford Transit Connect micro camper van! Today we stop in Fairbanks, Alaska, and explore the area. We start our day be visiting the Alaska Pipeline view point across the highway from Gold Daughters. After a gold panning demonstration, from the amazing staff at Gold Daughters, we then find gold our very own gold in Alaska! We end the day by visiting the North Pole and even see some of Santa's reindeer at the Santa Claus House!

Gold daughters was a wonderful experience. The staff there is both helpful and super nice. It’s such a thrill when those little flakes of gold appear in your pan.

Every video I watch I say that was a great video, but this was so much fun. Made me want to go practice pan for gold in Lake Erie, if nothing else I might come up with more beach glass. I looked up the Santa letter for the grandkids, will have to try that this year.

I wish I had found your channel earlier! My son and his family live in Fairbanks and have had lots of cool experiences there. My DIL is the Lead NPS Ranger at the Alaska Public Lands Information Center in downtown Fairbanks. Anyhow, love your channel, fun to watch and learn about your adventures. Looking forward to more!

I recently bought a 2012 FTC and have been catching up on your RU-vid videos. In one video, you were considering having your key reprogrammed or ordering a new one. Did you ever order one? The reason I ask is because I only received one key with my van. When I called a Ford dealership to have a new key made, they said it would cost around $400 to order a key and an additional $90 to program it! I was just wondering if this price is possibly correct? BTW, I love your videos!

Wow! Nearly $500 dollars for a key?! That is outrageous! We did purchase a new key and had it reprogrammed for $275 which we thought was a lot at the time but after hearing how much they want to charge you maybe we shouldn't complain lol We went through a Ford Dealer as well, it may be worth it to call around to the different dealers in the area to see if you can get better pricing. To be honest, it works but not from far distances. We have to be really close to the van to use the unlock/lock feature, just something to keep in mind if you are trying to decide if it is worth it :) Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it!
