I'm amazed by your energy and just how you guys see, experience, and appreciate the different culture with really no presumptive good or bad - just showing the world what you see through your eyes, which I believe is truly what traveling and getting to know the world is all about. Thank you guys so much for doing so and happy and safe travelling!!
Thank you very much. We really appreciate your kind words. We feel that same way that you do, travel is about exploring the world and getting to know more about other countries and their way of life. It's a wonderful privilege that we never take for granted.
Great video!! We live and make videos for our channel here and we can sefely say you have covered all the fundamentals. Pingjiang and Mudu never get old!!
What a lovely and well presented n edited video on Suzhou! I visited Suzhou back in 2003. Thank you very much for bringing me back such precious memories ❤❤❤❤👍
I really want to visit Suzhou someday ! My former co-worker(Japanese), who had visited Suzhou also praised a lot on the beauty of Suzhou (and tastiness of Suzhou noodle).
Moving to Suzhou beginning February, this video just summed up how my great life will be. Thank you so much for the video. The silk factory I can not wait to visit.
@@margaritakaliviotis2922 generally very good.onky in terms of standard of living cos u r renting a apartment in expat community and there's plenty of places where u can hang around after work and enjoy.penty of international schools also in suzhou so overall u can save about 50% ,of your income.you try to cook as much as possible
What a thorough video of Suzhou! Thank you for your enthusiasm & vast highlights of this great city. Wishing you both continued joy, success & health. 🇺🇸❤️🇨🇳
That’s amazing truly. I remember when I was in primary we indeed kept silk worm as pets. On the bench at the back of the classroom we have our own leaves which resides our worms. Classmates who planted mulberry contributed more leaves. However we had no idea what to do with them when they form cocoon. Lol what a happy time
Another great video. You always give the best information. I really liked the night vibe and that water show. I have a new travel channel and could use any support!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment and I am so glad you enjoy the information. We just love China at night. I feel that is when the cities really do come alive. I will check out your channel too!
It’s an amazing city I enjoyed visiting Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and the Great Wall in 2014. My favourite is Suzhou. Great video, Thanks for sharing.👍👍
Thanks for watching! Suzhou really is amazing isn't it. It sounds like you've seen a lot of China. The Great Wall certainly lives up to the hype. I loved visiting it too.
Great video! Glad you guys visited Suzhou cuz it's my hometown. These are the places I usually hang out at the weekends. The gardens are beautiful and they help me feel refreshed every time. (Even I went to these places almost a thousand times lol)
Visited in 2014 for 7 days, so quiet, no rickshaw rides, no western food, water gardens had only a few locals walking around and we met very few other tourists, this video is excellent in showing the changes in China. We did also visit Hangzhou, and stayed at the west lake, same thing, the walk around the lake was wonderful, revisited 2018 and the beauty of the lake walk has been spoiled by the use of electric cars using the lovely lakeside walkways to transport tourist quickly around the sights, also lots of western food restaurants, all with english menu but we found the staff had no idea what they were serving so most times you were lucky to get the dish you ordered. However all things do change, my comments are just observations not complaints, do visit it is still a wonderful destination.
Richshaws have existed for decades, and gardens are always crowded in holidays. Not sure which western food you were looking for, there have always have been some restaurants serving them. I think your experience was just due to the timing and locations.
Good job! I enjoyed your Video tremendously. Pay a lot of attention when you are in China, especially the old part of China that is where the true colours of that country. China is amazing.
What a lovely video! I was there this summer and I think you really captured a lot of the feeling of the place. So enthusiastic and interested in where you are, your energy really comes through in your video. Great job guys, I enjoyed this a lot :)
I loved Suzhou like I would love a friend or a romantic partner. I remember spending 10 weeks there - and subsequent personal travel - for an intensive study abroad language program - the Critical Language Studies Program for Mandarin - while in college. It was a truly beautiful experience. I remember it taking about 5 weeks to acclimate towards and feel at home in the culture. Once I did it, the arts and high culture of that city are second to none.
I found your Channel last week and enjoyed watching all of your new and old videos. Please show the modern side of China TOO. Suzhou skyline is absolutely stunning but you are NOT showing us that. I live in Toronto too.
Alistair Razi thanks for watching. We had very rainy weather while in Suzhou unfortunately. And I couldn’t capture the skyline like I would have liked to. Did you watch our Shanghai video? It really shows off the modern side of China.
@@ThePlanetD By the way, I enjoyed the most watching your video from Toronto, our home city. You have done an excellent job by making a professional video.
the locals here call "the gate to the orient" an ugly pair of pants lol. i personally dont like the design but it's a great city. also one place you did not mention that i think is worth visiting is the west mountain (idk thats the literal english translation) island in the middle of the tai(hu) lake. it has a cool cave and a lot of cool parks and short hikes however getting there could be challenging especially if you dont speak chinese as the area in between the center city and the lake is not really developed but its a hidden gem if you manage to get there
