On today's adventure we find some things to do in Winchester and spend a 90+ degree day enjoying some summer fun. We even took a short detour over to Lake Frederick to check out the lake.

My ultimate Winchester trip is staying at the George Washington hotel for the night. That puts you in the perfect location. Then you can do bar & restaurants and a show at the theater, all just walking a few blocks. In the morning, get a bagel for breakfast and get out of town or stop at Lake Frederick or Dinosaur land on the way home.

One thing that is really nice about Lake Frederick is there are no gas engines allowed. Use to go to that lake in the early 80s before they made it public. Remember when 522 was single lanes from Winchester to Front Royal.

Yeah, the lake was like...clean looking. The water was so amazing looking, blueish green.

Its a nice day trip, or a night at the George Washington Hotel. I'd recommend going on the weekend when more people are around. Its fine down there but there are a handful of people the cops are constantly trying to push out of the downtown area.

You should have gone to Bonnie Blue's Bakery in Winchester. It's awesome food. Scaffer's BBQ in nearby Middletown is a must too.

I was going to go to Bonnie blue after the bagel place but I ran out of time and I know I’m gonna be in Winchester again so that’s gonna be the breakfast in my next Winchester one. I’ll have to check out that other place too at some point.

I went to that bar in the old winchester star building for my 20th high school reunion last year That's a pretty. Cool place there's a lot to do around here. I live here in the Frederick County Winchester area.

Nice. I did a night out in Winchester about 7 years ago and went to 12 places in 1 day, but since then I've only been back a few times. I need to plan another night at the GW hotel and brewery crawl.

@DMVAdventures That's awesome. Yeah, I'm been to the George Washington hotel. One time for a wedding when my cousin got married. A pretty nice hotel inside. There's a lot to do around here. You could probably. Make a nice little series about Winchester. And if you need any info I can help you with that.

YES!!! i have never seen a video of my town, i honestly love everything about winchester, love the walking mall as much as the whole town to!!! THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST TOWN I HAVE BEEN TO HONESTLY!! (considering i live here)
