Great video! I’m getting ready to start a one-off offroad build on my Hummer H3 this winter and was looking into rock light brands and this was great. Keep cranking out videos! Been watching your channel for years. Thanks for all the great videos on your trucks and work!
Great video like always! My trucks way older but I build mine as it’s a 2019 lol. Got my 7-9” lift on and about to build everything else I want (regear, custom tails, heads, motor, rock lights, etc) and get me some 24x14 and 37s after I’m done!
Hi, love your videos bro, i have a question, im doing 12 of this lights. Question is, do i need to run a thicker gauge cable from the battery to hook up all this lights? I mean, thicker gauge than the cables on the lights. Thanks in advance.
love the truck! just a heads up they call em rock lights so when your offroading in the dark people spotting you can see potential hazards underneath the truck!
I’m 16 and I’m working my ass off to buy an 07 Tahoe and build it out love the videos and I’m a proud supporter of the workforit movement keep up the good work
unknown no I bought a 2015 frontier instead got a smokin deal on it and thought I should save some money so I can be better financially set for the future
can't wait to start the build on my truck I have a 2wd Ranger Edge I'm going to do a baja prerunner style build except without removing the bed if I can find some mid-long travel suspension for the rears...
What’s the ultimate goal when it comes to this truck I know you said you wanted this to be show truck but what other capabilities do you want to achieve with it and the choices you’ve gone with so far and in the future ? Awesome videos btw !!! Plus your work truck do you have any plans to ever upgrade it in any form ?
I saw the few seconds of the lights on the last vid thanks for the idea to do put them on the actual plastic? I don't exactly know what they're called but I wanted to put some lights on for a while but I didn't want to go through the metal thanks man always looking at you like an inspiration for my truck build. Love Prestons man wish I was in California just for them.
My headlights have an activation light sequence when my truck starts. Do rock lights have a startup like that as well that could happen when the truck starts, but then have them off after until I switch them on?
I didn’t know this much work and thinking would go into rock lights I just bought some 50 buck rgb rock lights and I love em I get tired of the Bluetooth being the only way I can change them but no complaints
I'm still trying to decide what rock lights to use, I might just look into those C4 lights tho! I'd rather get rigid but they don't have color changing :/
Im getting the opt7 quantum this week they look like they are the brightest from what ive been researching and you can dim if you think its too bright hopefully its worth it
so are you running rock lights as underglow then as well? Also, does your shop sell the brackets that they've made up and machined? Thanks man, new subscriber!
Yea I cant stand the ones on it now just takes sooooo much away from the truck. But cant wait to see the new ones i think it'll really tie the truck toghether alot better.
Man when I put my rock lights in I had the hardest time with pulling the rear fender wells. The front was kinda a pain just because there was about 20 torq bolts and half of them were stripped forcing me to have to use an extractor to get them out. Wow what a pain. Then when it’s all said and done there was so much wire. I installed 16 rocks lights and it probably took 4 hrs just to get it all out of the way. I wired mine into the auxbeam 8 gang switch panel. I never want to have to do this kind of install again.
I did amber on my truck, Ohio here and they say any color goes except blue, or flashing/strobing, although mine are wired in to work with my brake lights and turn signals with the head and tail lights..
I like the truck, looks awesome. But I have a serious question, what is the point of the long bars that hang down going towards the rear of the truck? Wouldn't that interfere with ground clearance?
Brad Lashinski paint would be the best option. Doubt they would like the heat of the over when powder coating and there’s no way to take them apart. We are planning on painting the little part you see in the wheel wells
In certain states its illegal to run lights the even have the capability to change colors. check your states laws before purchasing anything. also keep in mind that if/when you travel check the laws of the states you travel in so you dont get pulled over.
Hank Hill I don’t like having things synced up to my phone. There’s always a delay when you want to use something. You have to open the app, wait till it connects. I’d rather have things hard wired
The Multicolor kit comes with wiring and a remote to turn them on. The individual rock lights just have a positive and negative wire coming off of them. You'll need to provide your own wiring and switch
Different for each state, even some cities have ordinances about it but most tell you not to run red or blue lights on the street, seems like white light is ok in most places as long as it isn't shining into someone's eyes.
OneAnOnIy probably just the stock tow mirrors, if youre looking for some like that look up Boostautoparts.com they make some really good and not pricey
Why does the C4 Offroad website have misused words, such as "break" instead of "brake", and "fees due apply" instead of "do apply". It makes me feel as though it's a foreign based company. For that reason, I'm out. ☹
