Super helpful! Never heard of zyro but I just looked at their pricing and it’s really great compared to other companies I’ve been looking at, even the e-commerce plus option is super affordable. Thanks man!
This turned out great slew! Is there any chance you can do a video showing your portfolio that you had when you were first starting to take your art career more seriously? With some explanation of what the clients/collectors were looking for(Although I know everyone's ideal clients will be different)? I feel a lot of artist that are just starting out like my self would greatly benefit from it.
So right, marketing is EVERYTHING if you want to sell your artwork. Thanks for the lead to Zyro, I will check them out! Practicing your craft is important, and we all know that. It's the idea that getting yourself out there is critical if you want to create a revenue stream from your craft. Otherwise, you might as well be marooned on a desert island while painting LOL. Thank you Slew, as always, your videos are entertaining, and very helpful! And your adorable dog came out pretty good to boot! Love to you bro
Key points for sure on how to get out there with your work. I’m constantly trying to get my work noticed on social media, but seems like there is something missing. Your comment about painting what people like is truly a curse for the artists. I have had many people tell me “ If you would paint ‘this’ or paint ‘that’ you would sell more art.” Not true. As you said, if the passion is not there, it will show up in your work, and hence no sales. But the flip side is true too. If your great at what you do, and can’t get your art out to the public, then you won’t make sales. My sales are mostly done at art shows, and other physical venues. I would love to branch out into the social media, which I have, but not with huge results. I am however working on trying my hand at RU-vid, so we shall see! Good video!
Much love and respect to you and your channel. You are really inspiring and an amazing artist. Thankyou for what you do. I hope all is well for you and your family and friends.
I've been listening to the podcast at the beach recently as spring rolls in, I'm really happy I discovered your channel a while ago! When I see your vis I think about how fulfilling it would be to live and breathe creativity and think wow that's how hard I should be working haha.
Thanks for sharing this slew!! I think that we are so many people here that we want to start/increase our art business and this is so helpful, thank you so much👍🏻
Awesome tips and great work! I like how he merges neo-impressionist brushwork with his funky personalized perception of the final work! I couldn't figure out however if the painting was oil paints or acrylics? Considering his profile, I'd say its oil.. But so many youtube artists use acrylics these days and come up with amazing oil paint style texture.. Donno anymore :P
hi slew, thanks for the video, i think the hardest thing is to actually sell a painting, you can get loads of followers and sell nothing, lots of people just scroll past. love the videos tho, always get me out of a block
I love your doggie paintings 😻 Also, I was looking into Wix recently , but I've actually never heard of Zyro. I appreciate the info! It looks stupid affordable.
lesson #1 don't do it for money 'coz you'll be let down in the end...hard. Lesson #2 Take the time to practice what you already know then, you will come to find the answers to which you seek.. Lesson #3 Practice Practice Practice Lesson #4 PRACTICE!
First of all, super video and in general - I really love your contant and find it so inspiring. I am watching your videos for a while now and never said thanks - so thank you! You are helping so many people out there. A question that I have for a long time is: how do you calculate the price of your paintings? Of course you need to include your meterials and your time but I struggle how "worthy" my time is? And maybe there are other things that i forget. ps: I like it when you say - if you're new I'm slew :D
To be honest I would really go crazy would you sell some stickers. I looked everywhere on you website but I did not find anything. So please please please... make some
Yeah, I mean, TenHundred's art is just a less funky version of Matsumoto Taiyo. And your art is refined, but bland. I don't like either of your styles, but I still watch both of your channels. Because RU-vid production value is king.
God, the author of creativity whom created all things wants our creativity as a means of devotion unto Him. His word came first and through it all things were made apart from Him nothing came into existence. And He became flesh and walked among us as Jesus Christ. Those who believe on Him will have eternal life. That's the most beautiful painting there is.
Sure, looks like you have talent: but also money does not seem to be an issue for you personally......nice studio, tattoo's.....100's of youtube vids? Mom and Dad still helping out alot?
idk if you intended to sound bitter, but to be fair to slew, all he's saying in this video is you should utilize social media. him being financially comfortable or not does not really change the fact that social media is a great (and pretty much free) tool to help put you out there
I'm not used to such a boring video. I'll be honest, we all have to make money but this video is way below your level. Your podcast is great. Your videos about your work too.
This video is great for those of us just starting out, and it looks like you are past that point so I can see why you might find this less than useful. This video is certainly for a subset of Slew’s audience but that doesn’t mean this video doesn’t have value.
I thought it was nice to know his history with selling art..not boring at all. I don’t think he is looking for negative criticism when he is telling what he has gone through in the past
