Things To Know Before You Buy - 2023 Kia Sportage 

I have an SX-Prestige reserved and scheduled to arrive in 2 weeks. The entire reason I wanted it was for the panoramic dual 12.5" displays. Do they live up to the hype? Also, how's it drive?

@@JaredC63 this car is basically a Benz with a few minor features missing, rides smooth, very luxurious and very very comfortable. People can’t stop looking at it on the road. I love it. I have the XPro prestige AWD in Green

@@M.A.R.I.O.V. Hell yeah! I've had my ebony black SX Prestige for 3 weeks now and have been loving it. Me, the wife, and our twin toddlers took it on a 2,500 road trip 2 days after I got it and it performed beautifully. The extra cargo space and leg room compared to my Lincoln MKC made all the difference too. We didn't even have to use the Thule which made everything that much easier. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase

I bought mines two weeks ago at one of the local Kia dealerships near me in Orlando, Fl. They had a few in stock as well as the other dealerships nearby as well.

Went to the dealership today for a oil change on my 2017 base Soul with almost 80k miles. Walked out with a 2023 Sportage EX. WOW. A little negotiation and the 2015 Soul, paid 26k out the door. Dealership wanted $4100 for a 10/100k warranty. Electronics are covered for 3 years. It's a computer on four wheels. I have 48 hours to decide on the warranty before the price goes up.

So funny, I'm in the exact same boat as you. Followed the NX for so long but was disappointed when I finally drove it because the interior materials were pretty bad. The gearbox didn't shift when it was supposed to, it held gears for too long.. And it's a lot more expensive... I drove the Kia yesterday and today, probably going to order a lease tomorrow

Really.. I am looking into buying a 2022 Honda Accord until I seen the 2023 Kia Sportage. Ms. Taylor is this a brand new 2023 Kia Sportage with transmission problem in 3 weeks, what were the signs and what the dealership said. I am not into Kia cars but the 2023 Sportage made me consider at the beautiful body style. I been doing my research and lots of videos until I seen your comment. Please respond. Thank you.

Please give a link to where the 2023 2.5 liter engines are catching fire. I cannot find anything on the 2.5 liter catching fire

@AutoAcademics I see. So the videos I see on RU-vid from other people are simply about the technology and looks of the vehicles they are talking. I honestly didn't realize that fact. I'm 63 and out of touch I guess. Lol I know with a little research that I could probably find out about the past problems of specific engine myself. I've been looking to buy a new suv so that is why I've been checking out these videos. No further need to. Thanks for your reply.

Kia's definitely been pushing th design boundaries lately, Kadeen Hunter, so we applaud them for that. With regards to the rear end, we'll wait to see it outside in the sun before making a final judgement. Many times angles present themselves better that way, especially in white. We have to assume the 8 in. screen works more similarly to the previous-gen system so it was simple to integrate the wireless connectivity, malidawgz. And sometimes the challenges come from Apple or Google and not the car manufacturers. We've seen these delays before from other OEMs. Even GM took a bit to integrate (wired) Android Auto and/or Apple CarPlay in all their vehicles when the apps were first available. And BMW made you pay extra for wireless Apple CarPlay when it first came out. (Not sure if they still do.) Hopefully, it won't take Kia long to get it integrated in the higher trims. Most buyers will buy the base or mid level trim. So having that standard is a smart marketing strategy to lure buyers who is on a budget.. Whereas, some of their competitors like Honda and Toyota, offers it only on higher trims or simply don't offer wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto alone. But on the flip side, Kia/Hyundai offers the biggest infotainment size in it's class..Im sure Kia/Hyundai will make it standard across the board on all trims in refresh models.

A 2023 Explorer is 199 inches long, a 2023 Kia Sportage is 184 inches long. Are you using modern math? My math says 15 inches.

If you have a 2023 it is. Even the Kia Website states it. So either yu don't have 2023 or are not aware of what you have for options.

Does your steering wheel buttons on right side: have a button with a pictorial of a Steering wheel with lines on each side? If the answer is no to any of the above: 1. Did you make a compalint to your dealer? 2. Did you file a claim at Kia Customer Care?

@@rcairflr no you don’t. Not all Sportages have LFA. Maybe do some research. KIA used a radar plate that’s on the front grill. I don’t answer questions by people that think they known things they don’t know about.

Exactly, Ron LHeureux. Kia is firing on all cylinders right now and with this Sportage being built on the same platform as the Sorento, I'm expecting good things.
