Another great show. BTW, when I pulled up the podcast version, it seemed to be the audio from a previous show.

That’s an amazing 😻 interview. So on the Alan Parsons project albums where it says Alan did the processing, does that mean processing the Moog synthesizer?

it's interesting that the Beatles story overlaps with early electronic/synthesizers but anyone interested in hearing early experiments of that era should check out Doug McKechnie who was playing the Moog live in San Fransisco around 68-72, including playing live at Altamount in 69.

McKechnie and his Altamont performance are mentioned in the book.

As limited and non commercial as Electronic Sound is. Im sure it did sell better than Bernie's album's with sound. So that would probably be why he wanted some credit and royalties for it. And he gets some lifelong cred working with a Beatle.

Shame on you three for not knowing "Forbidden Planet" - its' my favorite film (and I have seen thousands). A lot of the concepts and visuals in it inspired the original Star Trek 12 years later! It stars Leslie Nielsen, Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, Earl Holliman, & Richard Anderson.

I can't speak for the others, but I know Forbidden Planet, have it in my library in multiple formats (including the Critereon laser disc). Did any of us say we didn't know it?

@@allankozinn192 I was reacting to the three blank expressions when he namechecked the film. Glad to find yet one more thing we have in common, Allan! I still think it should be you doing QC on Giles Martin's Beatles remixes. Maybe we wouldn't have to deal with crap lke the out of sync hi-hat on the "Nowhere Man" 2023 stereo remix.

When it comes to the use of the Theremin in films, perhaps the best example is Jerry Lewis in The Delicate Delinquent. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EzFkDAlAKR8.html

There's one opinion many of us here will disagree with. I love his records.
