We are going next year hoping to celebrate my little sister being cancer free and finishing treatment. Ps thanks for all the love for my sis. She starts treatment chemo and radiation July 26th
I will never forget my excitement when I thought Disney was building a Star Wars Hotel to stay in. When I learned it was a separate experience from the parks, I was really disappointed. If I am spending a lot of money at Disney, I want to experience Disney too!
Don't care about food options or alcohol. $100 hotel nights are never coming back, at WDW or anywhere else in the world. Had zero interest in Galactic Starcruiser. Just give me back the Magic / Tragic Express and FastPass.
I remember when the All Star resorts first opened and you could get a room starting at $79 a night, for us the cheapest way and luxury stay that we have found is through Dave’s DVC. Talking about what was open late night, when pleasure island was still around that didn’t close down until 2a.m. and it was so much more than an adult playground. My daughter was 2 and we just wanted to check things out. Of course we didn’t take her into the night club, but just being outside walking around was so unique and fun.
I've traveled via road trips many times to at least 34 different states and if a hotel is under $100 you are in the middle of no where! I don't know where people think they can get a run under $100 anymore
For real, the local residence inn hotel down the street from me in suburban Texas is $170 a night and cheaper places are $89+. I would honestly expect Disney to be similar or more
Ever since Covid business hours everywhere seem to end earlier. Example: my local mall, which is a successful one, used to be open until nine thirty on weeknights, now it closes at eight.
Can you do a best plant based food video? I’m not vegetarian but I love plant based food. I went may of 2022 and decided on the plant based options a lot because they were all so good. Would love to hear what your favorites were! Love all the videos!!
We went to Disney with our daughter in 21' (her first time). I did NOT add the Genie+ and glad i didnt and we will not use it when we go agan in 25' bc thats ALOT of money per person/ride and add that on top of what youre already spending on resorts/tickets/food, etc. Plus ive noticed those fast pass lanes are not any better than the regular waiting lines.
This was a very good video and was full of information. I also had a good feeling and some nostalgia from watching this. Thank you so much! Please make more videos like this.
Plant Based Options abound! 🌿 Our last trip in 22, I was able to find Plant Based meals every where we went. Animal Kingdom and Epcot had best tasting dishes. MK options were meh, but they were there!
Hilton Buena Vista Palace - it has the disney shop the resort itself caters to both kids and adults. Plus the food options are alot - cannot beat the $28 breakfast buffet. Also, Disney Springs is across the street. Definitely factor in resort fees - I believe all good neighbor hotels charge a separate resort fee per day in addition to room rate and I believe Disney hotels do not.
Exactly ten years ago, I bought my first annual pass for $200 per year, I stayed at Pop Century for $68 a night, got free fast passes, and I ate larger portioned meals with a greater variety of foods. Then Chapek took over parks and resorts...
TBH, I’m not sad the H2O deal is over. I never liked their products; they smelled weird to me and left my skin extra dry. I’ve been bringing my own toiletries for a long time. Here is hoping the next pairing is better! 🥂
Whenever you walk out of animal kingdom to the buses you have to walk through the cloud of cigarette smoke from everyone needing a cigarette after they leave the park.
4:22 The Entire World: “We’ve had 2 quarters of negative GDP. We’re in a deep recession.” The United States: “It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything’s fine. Recession looming. Let’s go to Disney World.”
Observation made while I was there. Gene+ lines were longer than most stand by lines on my most recent visit. Fools paying for a service that is not adequate.
I think people are still expecting Disney holidays to be budget trips. It isn't any longer, it was the good ole' days. It was never "accessible to everyone", there are millions of people who have never been able to afford it. Even on opening week.
This. I think people love to remember back in the 90s when you could go to the park for $99 a day. What people don't ever put into consideration is inflation. $99 in 1998 is equal to $189 today. A 1 day park ticket right now is $149 so its technically cheaper then it was back then. My family would budget and save to go every year and we lived 30 mins away and my dad had a really good paying job. Its always been expensive.
@performanceProjects - yes the tickets are inexpensive compared to inflation but real wages have not increased compared to inflation since the 90’s. So, Disney is affordable for less families.
Bob Chapek saw a way to gouge us with the Genie Plus replacing the free fastpass. Now that Bob Iger is there, he can't drop it because it's such a huge money faucet. So we're doomed.
I choose to stand stand in line or not wait. I've already paid a lot to enter and paying to not wait isn't an option I'll pay for. Visiting Disneyland back in the day with no FP or G+ was just the way. I'll skip the ride or go back before closing or drag my sorry a$$ up in the A.M. to rope drop. The extra psychological push to pay more so I don't miss out doesn't work on me. I appreciate that ppl want to dig deep.
it would better if fast passes disappeared completely. when i went in 2021 not many people used genie plus so without having the "lightning lane" clogging up the movement of the regular line the regular line of the majority of rides moved reasonably. Even when there was a wait moving more than standing still made the time go by much much better.
I LOVE Star Wars, but I have no desire to be stuck inside a box for two days. For that price, I want to come and go as I please. It's really awesome they came up with something like that, but no way! It's not worth the price. I give them kudos for trying something different, but I didn't see this working once I found out you never leave the hotel for two days. After that, then what? Spend another $2000 at one of the other Disney Properties? Plus tickets? Plus Park Hoppers? Plus food? Hard pass for me!
@@brodiebrockie5195 They don’t make it sound that way. You spend $6000 and you go on a fake space journey. I appreciate the fantasy of it all, but not for that price.
Genie+ stops the regular lines and make waiting times longer. Its like cheating people out of a ride. It should go to disabled and elderly and pregnant woman.
I miss the park the was it was twenty years ago. The value to cost is not worth it. They are just money grabbing. Nothing good has come from Disney in the past 15 years or more. I loved all things Disney when I was a kid and into being a younger adult. Now Disney is too crazy!
There are no weight limits as people can be the same weight and completely different sizes, but if you can’t safely fit in the ride, you can’t ride the ride…
@@eliseg0001 Thanks. I knew the policy you just shared, but quite a few accounts are claiming the policy change. I just wanted to make sure. Sadly, the rumor is all over the place!
FastPass was not free, it was included in the ticket price so everyone had to buy it. Genie+ is not included, and now people have the option to pay for it or not.
