I know Japanese aren't good with customized food, but I often ordered my food at Tokyo Disney with a customization, it was never a problem. Also if you have allergies some kind of manager will come with an iPad and show what you can and can't eat. It doesn't need to be the special allergy dish.

It’s not only that but the way they’ve managed their lines in restaurants there really can’t let customizing food happen just like that. There’s lots of lines with 1 person covering 2 lines each and they’re all very narrow too.

@@Floofel. But like I said it’s no problem because the staff will call a manager and then you exit the line and talk to the manager to find something you can eat (they‘ll show you on the iPad). They‘re really helpful and take time to find something for you. The staff taking the orders isn’t the same person as the manager talking to you.

@@mar-nyan yes because it is considered rude to change a chef's dish in a way that is unintended. Don't like carrots in your dish? order something else then. is what they will say.

@@airplanetowardsthesky3265 Hey it's not Tokyo Disneyland and Sea are the only parks not owned by the Walt Disney! Japanese company OLC does, so make sense the systems are different🙄

Also there's no tipping in Japan. I left a tip at a restaurant one time and the lady chased me down to give my $$$ back!!

That’s bc the workers are already paid in their salary and when left money they do t know what to do with it and/or believe u accidentally left it behind

@@nurpo. not quite but I can see why most think that because money is norma given in special envelopes (I frogot the name) but they get paid enough and it's used to tipping also may think you left it

I like the special separate menu for people with food allergies it makes it simple for the guests so they don't have to worry about taking off items that they can't eat

You can also order it from the regular menu, they will walk you through the options of which one you can and can’t eat.

You absolutely can customize food there to an extent, they’ll just tell you it will take a little longer. My mom hates sauce on sandwiches and I ordered her one without sauce. The cashier was really kind about it.

I believe you used to be able to pin trade and it was once a crazy thing until Covid 😭

Pin trading was a think years ago and ended because it caused a lot of issues in the parks. It was years before Covid.

I went to Tokyo Disneyland the other day. You’re still required to mask up if you’re waiting in line and you can’t eat while doing so. Same when meeting face characters, there’s no hugging but you can give them a handshake or high five. Other than that, it’s still a very well organized theme park.

Yes, but you'll likely get int'l fees that are some % of the total cost so cash can be nice for sure

You can’t customize anywhere. It’s not just Disney. It just isn’t done. Allergic to Almonds? Don’t order something with almonds in it.
