Hopefully, you can answer this question since one on your team that I’ve asked has responded. Why is the battery life so short, & why does it take forever to charge? It doesn’t make sense to me. I can easily knock out 5 cuts in hour with a cordless senior, or master. When I purchased the gold one I thought it’s their improved version from the all gray / metal version, but it wasn’t the case. I purchased all the red fx, & same thing. Never had a problem with overheating, but AGAIN, what’s good with the battery life on these things. It’d be appreciated, & if you don’t respond, at least bring it up to your team leaders & tech department. Luv & respect.
Howdy, because you were extremely respectful and not pushy I went ahead to ask for you. Shoot me a DM on IG and I'll give you the rest of the info. Thanks man!
Sofie, this video is very helpful to try to understand these clippers and how you can service them, just in case you have a problem. Thanks so much for the tutorials! Much respect ✊🏼
I would love to buy some custom fx, but I can't over here in Chile 😔. I'm struggling just to buy your black edition becouse it's out of stock everywhere 😔
Vicente Navarro hahaaa im in Slovakia we only get the gold ones and its also all the time out of stock. And those clippers are just different than those in usa. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I know what you mean! its a bummer it's not worldwide. Your best bet for the black or custom fx is if you had a US friend that could purchase and ship over to you. I've heard some people do that if they live in latin america. I wish there was another way
@@Staygold31 I finally found some Black ones after 2 months of looking for them!!! Bought them yesterday and I'm waiting for them to be here on Monday. I'm so anxious!!
We need more videos out like this! Furthering the knowledge of not only the barber game, but what clippers can and cannot do. You have a new subscriber for sure. 💯💯💯
Hey I’m planning on putting a babyliss blade on my wahl seniors because they get super hot quickly, but I’m only planning on putting the still blade on. Do you think it’ll still stay cooler?
Hey Patrick! hmm great question, i've never put babyliss blades on another brand, but let me know how it works. I would assume they stay cooler regardless where they move too because of that coating
first off great video as always , and i did not fully understand the graphite coating till now. thanks for the oiling advice i definitely have been one to over oil and will spray and oil w the clipper facing down from now on :)
Hey Sofie hope you had a good holiday queen. So I been cutting my own hair all quarantine and I think I’m getting the hang of it. I wanna start barber school sometime in the next year. Couple questions. I know the school cost includes equipment and I’m sure they probably use some sort of wahls by default. I’ve honestly been using the Wahl color pros, and some trash liners. 😅🤢 What equipment can and should I buy before school to play with ? Clipper/trimmers multiple options would be appreciated. So much respect, I’ve loved watching your videos especially during quarantine. Love.
Hey there! I would suggest anything I make videos about. Babyliss Pro brand. They're professional grade and they lost a good amount of time for people who take care of them. Depending on the school, the tools may be beginner ones. So its really up to you how you want the start up to be like. Ur right , its usually wahls or oster..sometimes andis. In short, you won't go wrong with a set of custom fx clipper and trimmer. Build it how you want. Figure out what blades are more suitable and watch my videos talking about what does what. :)
Had this same issue this past week. Turns out my replacement blade came with the wrong plastic widget. Switched it back to the original widget and fixed the noise.
Sofi that clipper color it’s 💜 the orange and the yellow pops great. Definitely ordering one just like yours but with orange and yellow contrast alone. Great video thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge 👏🏼 by the way sofi what’s the name of the color you used for the housing and the handle? Please and thank you because in the app it doesn’t come out.
Thank you very much!! you should totally!! As far as the app, you need to update it or delete and download again cuz I had a hard time refreshing the new colors but its called grey paint
Great question! I’ve tried final cut in the past, but I’m used to premiere pro more. Mac like desktop or laptop? Whichever one u choose, make sure the processor is the newest updated and at least 16g ram and upgrade graphics card as high as u can get it. Editing videos will require all of the above plus a decent amount of storage in the computer and you’ll need external hard drive that helps. I did a video on it a while back. Check it out ! It might say more than what I’m saying here - i think it’s called what you need to look for when getting into video editing
Thank you for your videos, you are an inspiration to me! Something to add in the equation regarding pulling hair is the torque of the motor. Magnetic motors have fast moving blades but the least amount of torque so they are more likely to jam up or pull hair especially when it’s thick. Pivot and Rotary motor clippers often have lower rpms then magnetic clippers but they don’t jam as often because their motors have more torque/power
Thanks so much for the feedback Patrick! That’s an interesting note to add as well! I’m not sure which one i tried that was a pivot or rotary but it was so damn slow(fast feed clipper)...it pulled so easily. I’m def not a fan on slower RPM within trimmers either. My hand stroke is also not even crazy fast for it to jam the way it does. Since I’ve used higher RPM, my tools hardly if not ever jam.
Yeah fast feeds are pivot motor and slower rpm so they jam pretty often. I believe Babyliss are rotary and the high rpm makes them fast and strong so they are very unlikely to jam, I don’t have a pair yet but have used them and am looking forward to getting a custom pair like yours!
I always recommend the most current tools so I would say any of the custom FX clippers or influencer collection colorways which is black, red, and white
Okay now this is what I’m talking about ❤it I’ve known this information already and great content this information is very important for well whoever does not know of course mostly and our upcoming barbers will have a chance to understand more of their passion and attack their fears of rattling guards and burning clients and using all their tools and giving each one a purpose for the process of their steps 😅as well why we zero gap to keep each step easier to blend and one thing to mention to our industry is when we zero gap and do modifications and try the steps they felt confident about and then the steps are not getting the result they have felt so confident about after making changes to our tools changes our MM so we need to be aware of what MM to make adjustments to the lever and guards we use and take things slower and practice your change to your steps of blenz and fades such as paying attention to how far your still blade goes out compared to before the gapping or modification and your experience is awesome.
I remember my t blade Andis trimmers would always get hot by the end of the haircut, my babyliss trimmers still feel cool when I'm done with them, pretty amazing to think ten years ago clippers got so damn hot.
Hello, I’m not a barber or professional but I am looking for advice on maybe the best 2 or 3 cordless clippers/trimmers that cut close to the skin when just using to shave my head bald. I’ve been shaving my head for almost 10 years and every clipper I get fails to meet my expectations. So far I’ve had the best luck with a $20 Norelco beard trimmer. Any advice is appreciated.
Sofie, thank you for your videos. I really dig them. Question: I’m looking to invest in multiple BaByliss clippers. The tools (from other professional name companies) that I’ve been using since the late 90’s have held up all this time with just a couple of repairs. I’ve contacted BaByliss/Conair about if I make this investment, what do I do if I need to get repairs or replace a battery. They said beyond the one or two year warranties (depending on what I buy), there are no repairs and no battery replacements. I cannot believe that all BaByliss are consumable and non-repairable. What do you or others do for repairs and if a battery replacement is needed?
Maybe depends on what clippers you use too. Higher quality blades like the graphite that I use the most don't get as dry. Typical titanium blades get dry..like where you can feel the hair slide through the blade or its not making contact and cutting the hair
I love babyliss but I have had a lot of issues. My clippers need to be sent back for the 2nd time and my trimmers need to go back for the 3rd time. I BABY my tools Clippers: the 1st time the battery wouldn’t stay charged. 2nd it sounds like the inside has a terrible rattle like the motor is loose. (Not the guard rattle) Trimmers: won’t keep a charge twice, this last time my blade was so sharp I was cutting ppl. I tried adjusting them but wouldn’t help. It’s the blade itself. Compared it to other barbers and they said there’s no way that’s normal.
man im sorry to hear that!! I have yet to go through any of the things you are talking about. I'm sorry for the inconvenience of all those things happening cuz its def NOT normal. The only help I could provide is that you speak with a representative from the company
haven't used them in years, not sure whats updated with those trimmers.i moved on from them tho 😁 The last I remember they had a hard time cutting through super thick hair on beards. Try babyliss fx trimmers
Sofie StayGold 😂 I had a feeling you would say that i am going to buy the gold fx trimmer; I just got these during quarantine so I can cut my hair and my 2 boys I got the magic clips the slimline pro Li and a Braun series 3 foil
Sophie, one bit of feedback I have, is maybe come up with a script before recording. I liked a lot of information you put out there (very good tips & very informative) but it seemed like you lost your train of thought a few times & I think a script would help the video seem more concise & to the point & less wordy/rambling. Also, I’m sure this goes without say, but make sure you lock your focus. The whole section with the trimmer was basically unwatchable due to auto focus not knowing where to look. You’re doing great work, I just think with some small tweaks, it will elevate your content that much more
Hey Justin! Appreciate the feedback and observation. I def do agree with all of that cuz i do wing it lol it makes total sense. Thank you for looking out ! 🥳🥳
