I’m curious what your thoughts on all the veterinary research that links grain free diets to early heart disease in dogs. I just found you guys and completely agree with everything I have seen and watched so far. But with 12 years of working with animals (2 as a dog trainer and 10 as a veterinary technician) the only thing I have not agreed with so far is the “feed a grain free diet” statement. I know this video was posted 9 months ago and don’t know if maybe it was recorded before those studies came out.

I am curious, I looked at your website and saw your address. Are you still based in the same place. I ask because I live in Ashbourne and would quite like to introduce you to my Bernese and to the puppy that I am having soon. I have owned Bernese for 35 years so I am very experienced with the breed. As far as cage training, absolutely, just never use it as a punishment but always use as a safe place where your puppy wants to be and you can then allow them to escape from stressful situations. A happy Bernese will not cause problems whereas a scared dog is a whole different prospect. Take care, give them a peaceful escape option and you can and will have an amazing pet

What is the exercise need for these breed of dogs please? I find varying results online, would an hour walk a day be enough?

I NEED HELP!! I've watched all the videos AND the boot camp course, which is so insightful and helpful. I just received a perinese/bernese, 6 months old already & 50lbs & completely out of control. he knows how to sit & that's all. if I start to play or try to teach him other things he just begins to bite, nip & jump & is completely disrespectful to the point where I fear him. how can I exercise him if he bites my legs, arms, hands or pants, anything, the minute I start giving him attention. he's completely neglected & does not trust me as his leader.
