Bro I am Commerce Student and was preparing for CA so which laptop should I prefer windows or macbook Is all software like Microsoft and excel works on mac in free by using there cracked version plz reply…?!!
I’m planning to get a MacBook Air m1. I currently use the iPad Air 5th gen for school but I’m tired of touch screen and I don’t quite like the interface for google docs and slides on iPad lol. I may as well just use it for note taking in the future.
I got mine about a month ago, and I gotta say, I 100% recommend it. Don't bother getting an M2 or later, trust me, this one is just enough for 90% of users.
Working on an m1 air for years now, basic office work + some apps that helps collabiration (huge miro boards) it is perfect. Video editing and software developments are not the only job that requires a computer.
I'm a software developer and the base M1 Mac has been fine for developing software. Sure I have maybe 4Gb swap maximum, but every computer uses swap. On windows it's called paging file. Linux even uses swap. People blew this whole ram thing out of proportion.
8GB ram is plenty for up to moderate workloads in lightroom/photoshop in my experience! crazy seeing as the same workload eats 20GB+ from my desktop. apple silicone is impressive
My maths teacher uses the full Apple Ecosystem. He even gives us class on his iPad, and he likes the 13 inch MacBook Pro a lot. It was actually nice for Apple to make a MacBook that still had the touchbar.
I rarely have had any issues with mine using multiple illustrator files open with multiple art boards, photoshop with a file or two open, safari with over 120 tabs open, plus mail, notes, snd finder open. The only time I’ve had a problem is when doing that plus after effects or blender on. So for video, motion or 3d you definitely want something better, but I usually do 2d design.
I’ve had the air m1 16gb ram for 3 years now…and I’m upgrading to the pro m2 32gb ram. The air just doesn’t support my workflow anymore but it’s been an amazing machine for what I need it before.
I have a 1 TB windows laptop, I have used around 100 gigs lol. I just upload everything to the cloud, same for my documents. There are things I ofcourse just keep locally but having it in the cloud is just so handy
I have the Air M1 as well and the 8 GB of RAM is sufficient but will probably just barely get by at the end of it's lifecycle. Otherwise, no complaints on this one.
Bro I've bought M1 like 20 days now. but I've a doubt that it is 2020 model and we're 4 years late. Apple gives 5 years of software updates so which date it will consider for software update Purchase date or the year when It was first launched (2020)
I have the M1 Mac mini with 8 gigs. It's absolutely fine doing heavy stuff. I write software on it with multiple arc windows, slack, Vs code, x code and android studio all running
I have 256gb on my macbook and I desperately need more storage. 512gb-1tb would probably be fine for me. I do a lot of photoshop and after effects stuff so the storage fills quick.
I’m not sure exactly what it’s called. If you look up minimalist wallpapers, it should be one of the first to pop up. I’ve got all the wallpaper websites I use linked in my profile :)
@@mihailoaleksic3330 yeah but they should do it with laptops too, maybe have manufacturers actually be required to socket their cpu and gpu, and have the ssd, ram and wifi card be upgradeable
had mine for almost 3 years, stored with a crap ton of kpop photos (i say it would be close to 10k for archives), videos i don't want to stay on my phone (hundreds), lots of college lecture notes, and apps i forgot that exists but i still have 55% storage space left. will start saving up for a new battery though since i have a feeling i'd need a new one next year (i use it A LOT so battery health went down a lot too)
Help! I don’t know if it’s my dad restrictions, but im admin of this computer and it will NOT let me install Roblox, and I’ve tried everything it will just not let me.
@Me1l0valley that’s… pretty strange. It definitely could be some restrictions, but I’d try to download it from a few different websites that have Mac applications. If you’re not getting anywhere with that, I’d have to assume there’s some restrictions in place. Lmk what happens :)
@@afewthoughts8811 if you mean like where you can see all of your downloaded apps, just hit the little icon that says “launchpad” down in the bottom left hand corner next to Finder ☺️
nah, 13-14 inch is perfect to carry around, anything bigger is too big for something thta u will carry with you) Ive had multiple 16 inch and 15 inch and they are too big
I feel 14” is perfect thus being said Ask yourself do u stay at desk all time? Or at least 60-70% time probably true then you will put your max on clam shell mode probably and hook it up to 1 monitor (only 1 monitor thing really sucks by apple thou)
Got M1 air and not feeling it to be that much small. I am using stage manager as it will be cleaner and easily manageable. But yeah a 15 inch would have been more useful screen real estate
The reason is that this omni is priced higher than a fortuner. Also quick question coming from a windows user. Why buy mac when windows does the job and then some for half the price?.
@@ismail3861the m chip series are the best chips (yes better than any intel or amd cpu) and they are arm so they are extremely effectinte and with macos being lightweight (atleast compared to windows) and the many benefits of macos (stability efficiency etc) its probably the best laptop for anything thats not gane related
In my bio I’ve got a bunch of links, one of which being a wallpapers website I like to use. If you can’t find it there, thou, just search up “minimalist black and white wallpapers” and this one should pop up pretty quickly! Hope I could help :)
My perfect MacBook woild be: MacBook Pro 14" M2 Pro 10 Core CPU, 12 Cure GPU 16GB Unified Memory 512GB SSD Edit: I made a typo, it wasn't "cure" it was "core". And instead of just correcting it, I rather decided to write this instead. Because it's funny.
I hat will u do on it If not heavy work I will highly recommend save money to 24gb RAM m2 air I have exact same thing except M1 Pro (maxed out) so the difference is 20% performance neglectable really anyway I regret going with 16GB when I run many micorsevices locally for testing as a SE
i just got the m2 air with the same exact specs but i couldnt find an m2 air with 16gb which is all I care about and the m2 pro is way too expensive and doesnt have midnight black
How does it do with screen recording? Im planning to get one for my youtube channel where i just need to record my screen and do some light video editing.
Yes you’re able to record your screen and additionally choose which part of the screen you want to record. And it should be just fine for lighter video editing, but I’m personally beginning to try some more advanced stuff so I may be upgrading soon ☺️
You’ve got quite the variety of windows machines to choose from aside from MacBooks. Brands like Dell, HP, Microsoft, Samsung, etc. always tend to have pretty competitive offerings.
It’ll work, but it definitely won’t be the fastest. If it’s below 300 (preferably 250) that’s not too bad but keep in mind sometimes you can find the 2020 M1 Air for close to $400 preowned which is overall a much better machine.
Here’s the Link :) wallpapercave.com/minimalist-black-and-white-wallpapers You can screenshot this and then copy the link from there or just go to my channel description where I’ve linked some of my favorite wallpapers. Too bad RU-vid took out links :(
hey! I’m getting the M2 Air (budget friendly where I am). I noticed you have Roblox and Discord. I am switching from Windows and often keep these two open equally and also do video editing (CapCut). Will the M2 MBA run just as well?
None of those are super demanding so you should be just fine even if they’re all open at the same time. I have 6 or 7 apps open sometimes and I barley notice a dip in performance :)
Oh just to let you know if you can’t afford on your new MacBook to put like 5TB storage or like any kind of storage amount on Apple website or their shop they have a 5TB storage card for only $175
I had my dad's Temporary MacBook Pro 2020 (Intel) about 1 month in 2022-2023, it was fine. I can run Final Cut Pro but I can't run any Crossover games on My Dad's Temporary MacBook (it was Returned to my dad's office), because of the specs. Also, the Macbook had 1TB, but i dont think it was HDD or SSD?
So would you recommend NOT getting it to do videos for youtube content that has a minimum 720p to 4K video resolution for videos that would be a minimum 15mins after editing at say 720-1080p ??
I recommend it for light-medium video editing. Just use my videos as an example. I’ve been fine for the most part but things did start to slow down a little while finishing editing for my last long video.
Photoshop is not free, but there’s a 7 day free trial (I know, that means nothing) And ms office has a free online version I believe, but you need to use Microsoft 365 or purchase a standalone version of the software to use the Mac application. Hope that helps! :)
Just got it with the back to school sale which was 100$ off and a 200$ apple gift card which I used to get second gen AirPods for free. Love the MacBook, but don’t really see me using the AirPods, I’ve always had a wired ones and still prefer them, but at least I can use the AirPods with the MacBook cause unfortunately it doesn’t have a lighting jack to plug in my earbuds
Ya I’d say it’s still a good purchase, just at the right price. Like if you can find a refurbished one around $600-$650. I think you’re gold 👌 On terms of software and functionality, this will continue to update for the next few years, and will get security updates well after that. So you should be just fine :)
@@hardwired2 I found it new for 550 USD, but I'm worried bcz its a 2020 model and I wonder if it will last another five years working without any major issue
There is very little difference but… The pro has a touchbar instead of function keys The pro has a fan The pro is slightly faster, very slightly And that’s pretty much it
What should i buy a M1 mac or a used Mac pro from 2019/20? (Both costs almost same) I need laptop for basic work, windows is my primary preference my brother has a Ryzen 5 HP so im thinking of buying a Mac
