I remember a video I watched forever ago that included nuking Japan on the historically correct days and there was a special event for their surrender. I don’t know if it was a mod though.
If you do demand Sudetenland as Germany and the Czechs refuse but do not capitulate fast enough, you get the later plot. If you get mutinies or strikes, and pick the wrong option and get unlucky enough times, you will get many different events that lead to a civil war In Japan, if you keep on escalating the Soviet border conflict, it can lead to a war
You mean China when a warlord takes over? Yeah I always play on ahistorical so whenever I get to dealing with Asia they always pop into my ideas on how to map paint
@@mountaingeneral with this comment you reminded me about a cringy Moldavian youtuber who was stealing scripts and even whole video from the infographics show, bright side, etc. his name is now you know.
same here, but it make sense with G.G and Böhmen/Mären being notable ww2 "districts". looks like the game might be missing a few theoretical reichskommisariats in the east, Moskowien and Kaukasus f.ex
@@YBM2007 I wish the game added those reichskommissariats. Unfortunately I don’t think they’ll add reichskommissariat Moskowien and Kaukusus in No Step Back. Which would of been the perfect update to add that
This is top suggestion - Go with monarchist Germany, not pick Wilhelm II and instead pick Wilhelm III. Basiclly go for Victoria but do not send her as liaison to Great Britain just send her with royal family. Its curious who is in charge now. And for Himmler Putsh - we get him or Goering. But who will rule if Wehrmacht (Third option) is chosen? And can we play as non-alligned Russia Under Vlaslov?
Without mods, the only ways to play as that non-aligned Russian uprising is tag switching or loading a save. I've seen a mod that lets you choose which side to play as, but I'm sticking with the Russia Reworked mod.
Also if Romania take Leningrad and Stalingrad, whit Karol in charge (and don't do "end of ballet" or something like that) there will be event on rename this city
@@svenbarsklov In TNO, Himmler believes in a form of ultrafascism where to rid of the world of non Aryans, it must be cleansed through nuclear fire (Ironically, Germany gets the worst brunt of the nukes and the legacy of the Reich is forgotten, making Himmler's goals moot as humanity did survive in a world without fascism.)
You can core Brazil, Spain, Portugal and France as france in la resistance dlc. Provided everyone goes monarchist route. Or use console commands. Romania can change names of Leningrad and Stalingrad with king carol. German civil war when Czechs denied sudetenland and German loses badly.
You can also do it as carlist Spain as well, the claim French throne focus will actually cause France to become your puppet and eventually get annexed and cored if they are monarchist
there's a way to get Roman Empire Hitler in charge of Greece with Battle For The Bosporus. I can't remember the details of how you get it but if you look in the event files, it's there
Adolphos I, yes. If Hitler survives, instead of becoming Adam Hilt or Señor Hilter, he can literally just appear on the shores of newly-reformed Byzantium
I actually did not know about Adam Hilt. That is by far the most obscure event in the game. Even with how confusing it is to get the HRE, it was still widely known.
Same here. I often play on non-historical, with Germany going monarchy 8/10 times, and not once have I gotten that event when going fascist USA or seen the AI doing it.
Protip: Use one field marshall with 1 division under him to form a SHift+Frontline, then assign a second general with divisions under the field marshall and they will all get planning bonuses without getting shuffled around by the AI frontline order if u unnasign them from frontline orders; as long as that one first division remains under the shift+frontline field marshal order.
There is also Hilter in Byzantium as Adolfos the 1st. Similar to the rest, you need to have the flag raised and go for the Anatolian Fascists in the Greece Focus Tree. You can change the leader of Germany by dragging the war against Czechoslovakia enough for them to succeed in their assassination plot.
That second one gives me an idea paradox should give Germany those decisions like "Establish Middle Africa" "Give middle africa Congo" Ect. Also Mountain General love the video I didn't know about that Himmler thing this is really interesting
Technically the comet one (in both this game an EU4) is an EU3 reference, that was the first game it was in. Players didn't like that you only had one option (lose stability) in EU3, so in EU4 they gave you six options... which all made you lose stability. Troll devs
If you hover over " the end is near, for our enemies " it says -1 stability because a vase fell over and +1 stability because he didn't like that vase anyways
There actually was a historic plan for that: the Oster conspiracy. Several monarchists and conservatives among the military and intelligence agency had a fully formed plan to seize power and kill Hitler, the second he declared war on CZE . They even informed the allies of it. The only thing the allies had to do was stand firm. Then came Chamberlain...
So we could have gotten Hitler out of the way in 1938, thus sparing so many lives worldwide, if Chamberlain wasn't being a little bitch? Fucking hell...
@@gengarzilla1685 Yes. But Chamberlain was a typical politician. He believed he knew better and wanted the foreign policy win of avoiding war. Of course Hitler needed war to conceal the crushing debt his policies had levelled on Germany, so even Chamberlain giving more than asked for wasn't enough...
Interisting/unknown facts about hoi4: 1) When the Turkish Civil War between republic and monarchist forces, if you are playing as Turkey you get a little star wars reference in that event. 2) When la resistance was reliesed if you completed Vichy France focus tree you would have lost. 3) If you go down the communist path in UK and don't colonize you will end up being at war with another communist UK but with the standard focus tree.
A cool idea for the Commissariats would be if you had a choice to put generals or even field marshals in charge of them. They'd get buffs so they'd contribute to your war effort better, but you'd lose the general in question so there would be a risk-reward aspect to it. There could even be a unique event chain if you put a general who was involved in anti-Hitler plots like Rommel in charge of a Commissariat then started losing the war.
Yeah, a puppet nation ideology is reselected to fit that of their master when the puppet rises in rank. The same thing happens with British Raj; becoming a Dominion instantly makes them go democratic.
Once when I was playing Monarchist England I puppeted Mexico and they became the Dominion of Mexico with a British Ensign style flag. I've never since been able to recreate that.
Other unique things: 1. In the "Balkan Dominance" path for Romania, there is a small chance Hungary can (instead of denying or becoming your puppet) offer the creation of a cool faction called the "Bucharest Accords" between Romania and Hungary. 2. If, as Monarchist Romania (without limiting the King), you capture Leningrad and Stalingrad, they can be renamed to "-grad" with the names of Carol's mistresses. 3. Germany has a communist demagogue and the leader of Communist Germany has a portrait, its a fun campaign you can do with going "Rhineland".
if Finland is communist and puppeted by ussr it's called "Finnish democratic republic" and if autonomy is lowered to integrated puppet it becomes "Finnish ssr." also in vanilla if Finland goes communist the ussr gets an event to puppet them.
Okay, the Adam Hilt bit made me do a spit-take. Running Argentina, sure, but America? That’s up there with Byzantine Emperor Adolfus, Augustus Mussolini, and El Presidente Trotsky in terms of meme leaders.
Uh, one thing I found out was that if the UK puppets mexico, it becomes the Dominion of Mexico, and if it puppets the USA, there are names for all the autonomy levels. As well as that, Germany has special puppet names for puppets in the baltics and eastern Europe if they're not fascist, of the top of my head, highly autonomous Belarus becomes Weißrussen. After making a lot of custom maps in vanilla in my spare time, it's fascinating what you find out!
There is also another easter-hitler that can be found in the game : if you have BftB, go fascist greece (with the EEE) and hitler is found dead in berlin, you can have a event called "A Basileus Emerges..." that pops up and you can have Adolfos I Basileus as a country leader
If you are interested in more wild alt hist mods you could try eu4’s “christianity besieged”, its not in a game you seem to play that much but its a near worldwide alt hist and will be that truly once the next update comes out in like, a month
I knew all but the one with General Cedillo, but when you say it is not even possible anymore, I still take this as a win. I know two things that are probably well known: 1. There is a way to get Hitler assassinated in a war with Czechoslowakia by not capitulating them in 3 (or 6?) months. Then, an event may fire, and members of the Wehrmacht try to assassinate Hitler, so you can get either Himmler or Göring in charge. 2. If you have volunteers from any country in the game, that have already arrived in your country and you declare war in this specific country that send the volunteers, something special will happen if you can capitulate the nation before the volunteers have arrived back in their home country (so, like 10 days of time or so): the volunteers will spawn as playable divisions for your army, with their original historic names and even the general. I did this as fascist Germany and got myself two Hungarian infantry divisions with their general
“Mein kaiser, this shit didn’t work in 1914, why would it work now?” “Well back then we used zeppelins to drop bombs” “And now?” “We’ll use planes to drop people!” “Mein gott! You’re a genius!”
As monarchist Netherlands, after completing the Wilhelminism focus, if you gain some German territory you can instantly establish a puppet government of Wilhelm 2/3(?)
There needs to be a part 2. Hell, I'll propose some myself. - UK can actually form the EU if they go fascist - Romania and Hungary can form a faction called "Bukharest Accords" via an event, if one tries to subjugate another and the other simply refuses - Great Britain hypothetically can get cores on really wierd places, like Amazonas, Angola or Syria - If Italy gets pushed out of Eastern Africa during their war with Ethiopia, they'll get an even in which they can sign a white peace and transfer Eritrea and Somalia to Ethiopia - If Romania captures Stalingrad and Leningrad, they can rename the cities to Zizigrad and Magdagrad respectively - Prince Henry is the leader of unaligned Palestine Also, dunno how many people know that, but if you capture LA as Fascist Germany, you can get an event, where Charlie Chaplin is captured
@Ronen Salathe That's a long and complicated process, that requires either doing it on multiplayer, with help of some friends, or have RNGeesus on your side. We start with Portugal. It needs to core Angola via a decision and Brazil via a focus. Carlists need to win the civil war, propose the Iberian Union, Portugal must agree. Spain inherits all Portugeese cores, which now include Brazil and Angola. France goes monarchist, does "Unite the Crowns" focus, Spain agrees. We get a Superfrance with cores on Brazil, Angola, Spain and Metropolitan France. France declares on democratic UK, loses, at peace conference gets released as a free, democratic state on all it's former teritorries. France completes focus "French Union", here we pray to RNGeesus anyway, because the chance to core Syria is fixed. Germany declares on and defeats France. During capitulation the option to form Franco-British union is picked. Great Britain changes it's name and inherits all French cores. If you try, in addition to that you can core Zimbabwe, Taiwan, Puerto Rico and Ermland-Masuren, but you probably figured it out by now. I've actually tried to do this challenge with 2 friends. It's complicated, but it works
