All those 6 ghosts of fear... I have them all. Severe cases, like really severe, should be treated cases.. All the time I am thinking if I wil have something to eat in a month, if I will get badly sick or die so young, or if I will soon be too old and have missed all the opportuinities, and all of this makes me really anxsious in everyday life.. Just recently I realised, that kind of person is unwanted and will never be accepted into society yet be able to achieve anything nor have support from other successful individuals. I also came for this book and hope it will have some effect and change my mindsetting about some things.

Glad you liked it Patrick! I found that it was better the 2nd time I read it actually. Don't know what you thought on your first read, but for me, with an engineering background, I wasn't really ready for it the first time. Without mathematical formulas to support the claims, I couldn't take in (/didn't believe in) much what was said. Now, when I've read more on the subject, and also seen that these advice have had a great positive effect in my own life, I feel that I can resonate with the takeaways much more.

@@TheSwedishInvestor I get what you are saying! The concept does seem "out there" and "mystical" and I can see why that can turn people off initially. I thought about it somewhat in terms of affirmations. By repeating the exercises to yourself, you are reinforcing the concepts so that you are more likely to ACT in ways that are consistent with these beliefs. At least that's the way I had thought about it. I think that I'm due for another read through though!

@Cinedon
@Cinedon 4 года назад
@@pilotprashant3829 It just means what you are willing to give up for the goal that you have set in money. How much time will you invest in it? How much of your own self will you invest in it to get it? Will you invest nights of no sleep to reach it through an action that you have set for yourself? Will you sometimes refuse to go to social occassions so you can save money to invest or have extra time? Basically what will you yourself invest for the goal you have in your mind.. That's why their discussion above here resonates to sort of the same thing. A lot of the book sounds "mystical" because it speaks in "the universe favors and gives ..." But it's actually pure logic. If you are convinced you want something for the full 200% then you will take actions upon every chance you get. You will not skip out on opportunities, you will retry any opportunity even if it fails at first etc etc.. And in the end one is bound to happen because you simply never stopped searching for another opportunity. You also probably never stopped trying different methods to get your plan to work.. So in the end you succeed somehow. It's not the universe, it's you just grasping everything that comes your way because you are determined and don't want anything else. That's the difference between someone who REALLY wants to be that 1% and someone who wants it but immediately lets go as soon as it gets harder..

Great, but you missed the central message. The secret. No, it's not the law of attraction.

So are you telling me that the very decision I make to work out to help cope with sexual tension makes me wise? I won't say genius. Honest question

This book could help you more than "Think and Grow Rich" And get you into massive momentum in life Let's start this off by saying "Think and Grow Rich" is essential reading for anyone who wants to improve themselves. Many successful motivators, influencers, and business people will recommend the book, and it's on just about every major self-improvement reading list for a reason. I read TAGR four times, and it has helped me in some way every time. I even went through training with the Napoleon Hill Foundation. But here's what's missing from Napoleon Hill's, must-read TAGR. Modern technology. And yes, the "tools, systems, ideas, and new ways of thinking" for self-improvement, are technology. For example, if you come up with a new way of motivating people, you just created a technology. If you developed a method of planning for people to get an extra hour out of their busy lives, that is a technology. And Hill was smart enough to realize this. Keep TAGR was originally published in 1937, therefore, he had to compile all the ideas during the many years leading up to that. It's amazing to see how he talks about technologies like sound machines, transferring information through the air (wi-fi? Bluetooth?), and the work of people like William James. Here's what's so amazing about TAGR. Using the ideas during that time, Hill helps you create a roadmap for life, and set the standard for getting your mind right. What he was missing, was modern self-improvement tech. He didn't have the tools and technology that works specifically for the individual as a person. It was more of a philosophy and way of approaching life - which is incredibly helpful. Fast forward a few decades, and enter "Awaken the Giant Within", Anthony "Tony" Robbins follow up to "Unlimited Power". Hill set the pace for establishing a philosophical foundation for getting rich. But there's much more too it for many people. Robbins gets down to the nitty-gritty through his application of the technologies he learned and developed (such as NLP). TAGR help's you develop "the roadmap" and set a compelling goal. But what do you do with yourself, once the goal is there? Especially if you've set it high enough that you still don't feel ready to begin. ATGW gives you the tools to get yourself into the state of action to achieve them. If you find this helpful, consider checking out this newsletter for more cutting edge improvement tools and ideas (mailchi.mp/emmettferguson/mmfnagencylist)
