I picked one up yesterday and really like it. Its £44 for a bit of summer fun. Was on the casio waiting list but passed on it last month when it came available because of the negative reviews, lo and behold walked into a local jeweller's and they had one in the window, tried it on and love it. Cant beat a bit of affordable low end horology.

Lots of commentors saying that people will stop wearing the Tiffany 'blue' version once the hype dies down. What they meant to say was, lot's of shallow hype-led people will stop wearing it because it isn't fashionable any longer. Personally, I buy watches because I like them, not because they're on trend.
Casio has restocked this watch on their website it even comes with the cool vintage box now. I recently got mine at Macy’s and I didn’t even pay full price for it. They were having a deal that day $50 out the door. I love it. 😍
I asked if my local Casio salesman if he had the Tiffany dial in stock. He said no, and he didn't know when he'd get one sent to him. He hinted if I got one of the Casio A168's it might help me move up the list.
I got an MTP Casio for about 30 euros, silver with black dial, really decent for the price. being my first non digital watch i would say it's decent, great looking especially for my tiny wrists
@@jyotheeswarprakashbabu6281 got a few scratches on the bracelet but the brass part is in a decent shape. Too bad that it doesn't light on that dark, but other than that is an decent watch for the price
@@jyotheeswarprakashbabu6281 I have this exact watch for 9 months give or take and the watch is great. I have paid about 45 dollars for it and it is worth every penny. I have other watches too and this one really serves a purpose.
Thanks Ben for the review! I bought this watch three months ago for 50€: nothing crazy but a fun summer watch after all! A new Casio "tiffany", which I guess was inspired by the Tissot PRX, was just released. It is listed with a steel case (Casio MTP-B145D-2A1V).
Never owned a casio but wanted a fun one, dont like the vintage digital stuff. Got the casio tiffany for 54€. Decent watch and im not under nor overwelmed. Nice to wear during a party or with matching outfit.
Hey Ben ! I'm sure you've seen Casio finally heard our small wrist cult complains about the Duro oversize, and made a much decent one. I'm tempted but I have very mixed feels about the result. Can't wait for a review about this MDV-10 ! Love your videos, you helped me a lot to make my previous choices. Keep it up this way.
I got one walking past a shop today for 45 quid new, it’s cool and a bit of extra fun to add to my watch collection for the money it’s another banger from Casio

Got mine for retail when it originally released. No I don't use it daily and yes its not stainless steel but i have to disagree about it looking low quality. The bracelet is comfortable and looks nice, its not like people are going around listening to how much your bracelet jingle. We get way too caught up with the specs, its a nice watch youll never see again from Casio, ill take it.
As an ID member I ordered it yesterday on Casio Europe for 46 Euro, including delivery. I think, this is ok. It now will take place between my white and my black 1302 . Thanks for the video, looking forward to your next one 👍👍👍
It's sad to see Casio first evolving their MTP series from brass and SR batteries to steel and CR batteries (in mid-2000s to mid-2010s) and then devolving it back to brass and SR batteries nowadays. Man, now I realize that MTP-1219A truly was a pinnacle of the series, and I didn't value it enough when I owned one.
Very nice review. I've banged my case against the desk plenty and surprisingly it's held up. But it The bracelet is so lousy. I replaced it with a leather strap quickly after receiving it. I got it's for retail price several months ago, thankfully.
You are spot on! I joined the waiting Casio list and mine showed up last week. I’m super disappointed with the quality. I have the Benyar Tiffany blue version of an OP clone, and it is miles ahead of this. It was also $35 USD cheaper. I will be selling my Casio version. I heard Spaghetti Scametti needs to come up with Tiffany Blue soon 😂
I had to recently replace a battery on one of my accurist chronograph watches. Wife Paid £150 for it. Man was a disgusted when I opened that watch. Cheap plastic mass produced chinese unit. Crap dressed up as expensive. I liked accurist but never again will I pay retail for one. If I can't get it for under £40 I'll pass.
I bought one a few weeks ago, wore it once. The bracelet is the worst hair pulling contraption that I've experienced hence why I haven't worn it since i bought it.
I have the Casio MTP-1314 It has the same glass and movement and better readability than that. Plus it's stainless steel and it's bigger. You can also find it as an LTP version, for smaller hands. If ever the Tiffany falls back to 30-35 pounds i may get it or if i found a used in good condition. Until then i just stay away. There are so many brands and watches out there...
So glad I own the grey sunburst dial which in my opinion waayyy better than this tiffany blue dial in person only for about $25. Great for beater watch!
Had been thinking about buying this watch a lot, but as you said it was overpriced. But when I saw this watch in real I just fell in love with this colour. Finally bought it for around 100 bucks. And it looks a waaay more expensive for that price. Also love the bracelet, not solid metal, but feels good.
Bought one for 50€ and for thar money it's perfectly fine. Not the most worn in my collection but it gets wrist time for sure. You could spend your money much much worse imho!
I picked one up for a versatile dial colour. Always have a very bright coloured wardrobe and have multiple summer clothesbthat go with it. Couldnt believe the hype when j saw it
Yeah, just when I learnt that this watch is made of brass - I stopped wanting it. I do have both that you shown (the edifice "oak" and mtp underrated diver) and they are very well made for the price.
Got one for myself from the official Casio store in India for a mere £29. Not necessarily the best watch out there or even comparable to some good brands out there, but it’s a good deal for just 29. Just ticks those boxes of style, trend and color
I was able to purchase mine online from the UK to Canada last week. You just have to put in some effort. I have the Tiffany, and I was able to purchase the Edifice tiffany from another European dealer. Hype or not, it might take you 45 minutes, but you will find them.
I got one for retail from the casio uk website a few days ago, for fun, its ok. They sold out over the weekend though. My expectations are nothing more. Wish I knew how to fit a leather strap to it though... or some idea if that would even look ok.
In a world where certain companies make knock-offs of Casio's F91 (for more money!), the silliness of the market surrounding this watch isn't surprising. The fact that it hasn't yet abated IS a bit surprising, though.
I bought a "loud" Timex Expedition metal over this one, same materials, WR and quality and better lume, with the added Indigo it leaves the Casio in the dust. I can understand why Casio is making this obvious price point cash grab but I don't understand why they don't give the Edifice line more steam in the US market, and why do we have to buy JDM models from eBay to get our hands on Wave Septors and the like?
Saw one in my local mall for £36 the other day. Thought it looked like absolute crap. Especially the font on "WR 50M" that doesn't match anything else on the dial looks awful.
I absolutely agree. I've had the version with the white dial for 1.5 years and can't understand the current hype surrounding the watch. It feels super cheap compared to other Casio watches. I like the watch but the feeling on the wrist is not comparable to a duro. And then I see videos on youtube comparing her to a citizen tsuyosa... that's ridiculous

I guess you have to like the style… I just don’t really love the fluted bezel or the indices. The Casio-faux-lex I went with was a different one from that 20-Casios video: the MTP-1370 day-date in with a silver dial. 40mm case with 20mm lugs, probably chromed brass, but I just like the style more. Date window at the 6 rather than 3 is a nice touch, too. Seems like it’s hard to find, but more because they might not make it anymore, rather than it’s selling out. You wouldn’t mistake it for something grander, it’s a basic pretty Casio, but after sorting out a replacement strap I just like it.
Had one of these from Casio when it was first released, thankfully the hands were misaligned ( rare for Casio) and I could return it. Not impressed to be honest, not getting another.
Within one minute of receiving the Casio e-mail saying it was back in stock it was sold out. That’s when I knew this watch was not for me. I don’t want something everyone has.😂
I was first chocked when I first saw these watc for 150-200 £ in marketplaces here in Norway. It’s a nice little watch but not more. In the watch shops the price is 60-100£ 😅
They are in stock right now but are going for 75 USD which I find ridiculous when you can get a steel Timex or other Casio watches for the same price or less. Save up a little more and you can get an entry level machine like a Seiko, it's disappointing seeing them use this as a quick cash grab :/
I recently bought a similar watch. I thought it was stainless steel as it was advertised on the online store. Turns out when I got it that it was zink alloy. I hate false marketing.

Why re-think when such a nice watch costs you just USD40? I am in Tokyo on holiday and walked past a watch shop display and saw this watch, in round and square. I thought it was a more expensive watch so when I saw the price of 4000 yen, I doubled checked my Xe converter just to make sure! I think your remarks are not true. This is NOT a Rolex Datejust for gods sake and it's not meant for you to keep it for your next generation!! If it lasts for 3 years, it's more than good enough. It feels same weight as a good stainless steel watch, and I will be proud to show it when worn with my $4000 Zegna suit. I don't think you know what you are talking about in this video my friend!
I own the black one and I always thought they look much more expensive than they are. So I am not surprised people pay so much money for the tiffany version. But it is really overprised, I wouldn't recomend to buy it for the price.
Very fair review.this watch is a totally fine watch at its typical discounted price. Casio makes great watches, but, mostly great cheap watches. If you're dying for a watch with this color but on a tight budget, doesn't seem terrible at an uninflated price.
Everything has increased in price due to worldwide economics. Those £30 watches are now £40-50 watches and all the rpice ranges above have all increased massively too. Most Omega watches jumped £1000-2000 on new models that are just different colourways and the same goes for all other luxury brands. You just need to get use to the fact £45-50 is the new £30 starter watch and understand manufacturing don't come cheap, not even China can stop prices rising.
I was lucky enough to do a side by side with the green starburst dial and I liked that one nu h better in person. Ended up going for the green instead of the Tiffany blue
