Right there with you!!! That’s what this whole channel is about, check out any of my playlists. Oklahoma is a Great Place to live!!!! What city did you move back to this time?
I agree don't move here. Hot, over 102 every day so far. Really loud bugs all night. Scorpions, black widows, rattle snakes. Ticks, unknown utility cost. Brown outs, during summer and winter. Cost of living just as bad as PNW. And I have more...
Not true about ac units. If you have central air it will cool your house to temperature you set your thermostat to. I live in the southern desert of AZ and we are continually 110+ in the summer and with central air I can keep my house in the 70’s. Now an evaporative cooler they will only cool the air by 20 degrees. How do I know this? I lived for 8 years with only cooler’s on my house and it would be 90 degrees in our house!!
@@OklahomaRealEstateReviews I get it but if you think about it when it is 120 or above here in the desert we wouldn’t be able to cook our homes or businesses below 100 if ac units only cooled down 20 degrees. Our vehicle ac’s work under the same premise and I know that your car gets colder than 20 degrees below the outside temperature.

I’ve lived here all my forty three years of life. It actually depends on”where” you live here. Central areas like Moore, Oklahoma City, Shawnee, Chandler, and Cushing are the worst and strongest tornado locations. It weakens as it moves over towards Tulsa. That is why we moved to south Broken Arrow/Bixby area and have only seen three the seven years we’ve lived here. Plus it’s closer to Tulsa and more activities for our kids. I grew up in Cushing but will not move back. Things are just different when you leave and go back. And yes….heat and humidity. Oklahoma is top number one on that. August is always the worst 🥵 And WILDFIRES happen a lot. Now winter, ice storms. Be prepared to be stuck at home when it happens.
I'm originally from Texas but living in North Carolina right now and this video had me cracking up because I feel like this is exactly how I sound describing Texas to my friends here. I say all that then I'm like "Yeah, it's awesome!" Hahahaha
Good and not good, great schools dot org has reviews for all the schools. But I tell everyone to call the principles and interview them and request tours. Children need to be protected and even here in Oklahoma there’s a political battle in the schools. Not all homes have storm shelters. They range from 3,500 and up though so they are not too expensive.
🤣🤣🤣 Enjoyed. Flying chunks of ice…tornados, and pot! Sounds like the Wild West. Fairly nice folks…the kind that care about people in pain, with the courage to make it legal. OK is OK. 👍🏻
Absolutely!!! ru-vid.comiC8y3fPj9gQ?feature=share ru-vid.comauCkWGTJup4?feature=share ru-vid.comJ_udMtLPG-I?feature=share Are just three of some of the recent videos
My wife and I are moving to the OKC area from Austin in about 2 months to work in the medical cannabis industry. We trained and worked in dispensaries in Northern California for 5 years and are particularly interested in assisting the elderly and those with chronic pain. And we are nice ladies who get on well with most everyone. However, we are also a gay couple who are a bit concerned about acceptance in this part of the country... Do you think this might be a problem? We are just looking for a peaceful place to retire. Would really appreciate your take on this.
The best thing for all out of state buyers is to fly in for a a weekend or mini vacation, rent a vehicle, and experience the metro. Stay a couple days in NW, SW, Central, NE, SE parts of the metro, drive by employers, drive the neighborhoods, eat out at the dinners and cafes to be able to know how each area appeals to each buyers wants and desires. Each sub city of the Oklahoma City metro and of course okc itself has a visit blank city page / department that has a ton of resources. Shoot my team and I your email, via text to 405-315-7965 and we’ll get you the OKC Metro Hotsheet that we’ve put together for buyers researching the OKC Metro.
All understood and yes there are many wonder things to live in Oklahoma that's the great folks there. It like having a extended Air Force family but what broke our hearts is the extreme cost of home insurance. Quotes of 1% or higher if your deductible is 1,500 or less. So we're out. There're not much of a break with property taxes, and the state of Oklahoma taxes your IRA and 401 K when you withdraw at 5%. It's a hard blow and I wish you all the best of luck. Thanks for the straight truth Josh.
From what I’ve read Oklahoma has some of the lowest property taxes, are you talking just about for tax returns? My wife and I live in WA and we are looking to leave to OK because it’s wayyyy cheaper cost of living. We are being taxed to death in WA, cost of living if getting so high (we got a 1 bd 1bath for $405,000) and politics are getting out of hand. Our governor is ranked #50 and he still got re-elected haha
