Seeing you say "quitting", I first gasped, and then took several moments to reflect on what your channel has meant to me. What you have done here has given me such joy and appreciation for all that the Amalfi Coast is and will forever mean to me. My wife and I stayed in Praiano for 5 days in May, 2015. We both agreed that the greatest single day of our married life was our first full day on the Amalfi Coast when we walked Sentiero degli Dei from Praiano to Positano. Little did we know what the future would hold immediately after we returned home. I learned upon my return to work that I had been laid off after 21 years with my company (the announcement was made while I was still on vacation). Then, in March of 2016, at age 48, my wife was diagnosed with a rare cervical cancer. She died 8 months later. When COVID hit two years later, one of my only refuges was your RU-vid channel. It helped me relive what was without question one of the happiest times of my life, something I was (and am) no longer able to do with her. I have found it impossible to impress on people how important and sustaining my memories of our Amalfi Coast vacation are. It was the pinnacle of our life together, and to lose all that I knew and treasured about my life in the few short months that followed, I will simply never understood. Thank you with all my heart, Nicki, for the gift that is the memory of the best week of my life with my best friend and soulmate, my late wife Rhonda. Steve Johnson

Nicki is very English even though she has lived in Italy so long. Also she is from a filming professional family whose standards were probably very high. There is room for both of you on the diaries and in fact it enhances them having such different people presenting it. The best is when you hug each other and show everyone you are in love. My family is from Italy some from the north some from Sicily. They spoke different dialects, but managed to communicate. They learned how to speak English from watching T.V in America. Carlo when you speak English you do speak English better then most people speak Italian, but the artistic creativity is there as you speak straight from your heart in Italian, and it doesn't get watered down by you putting in English the words only a real Italian man like yourself can express in his native tongue. You are a great story teller, drone cinematographer, and guide. We love you and Nikki for being yourselves, and not anyone else.❤❤

Dearest Carlo, you are a pure delight of a human being. I am especially interested to hear stories from the time before and after the war. Also stories of how these houses were built without the aide of advanced machinery. Can you include photos of the times before 1970. Anything about the history of Positano would be a great treat. My grandmother was born in Gualtieri and my grandfather in Frisanco. Thanks for sharing the treasures of your life and family.

Watching this beautiful video this morning on my television and I must say Carlo 'your never boring'!! Your a happy man, with a gentle and pleasant soul one in which is happy and content with your family, pets, the ocean,, your gardening, food enjoyment, the friendships you make in town, your long time friendships, walking and exploring the hills. Your English is wonderful! For those that are learning to speak the Italian language, you speaking Italian is more than welcomed! Both you and Nicki together have showed everyone what your place in our world is all about, away from the tourist videos that are only interested to bring tourism to Positano. It shows us real life in all the above forementioned. For those that may be married your videos show how combined interests and talents along with much love can make for a happy, long-lasting marriage. I got a minor in Italian in college, and I did a semester abroad in Firenze, so it’s a delight to listen to you speak English. You’re very good! The Italian mamma we lived with all those years ago could say just one phrase in English: “Good morning, Richard!” lol. Don’t give up. I love the videos, whether it’s you or Nicki talking/filming. My Sunday tradition is “travelling to Positano “ after we have lunch. I absolutely love today’s video. I think we got two for the price of one! I put the automatic english subtitles because I can understand english. I don’t know if RU-vid lets me put spanish subtitles. Never tried. But I would watch it even without sound.
