Karly Walker I save the content to the mod file of Med 2. I only rename the Third Age file afterwards to make it easier to launch it from steam via launch place.

This really helped! However, on windows seven you actually have to go to organize, then click on folder and search options. Then go to view once the sub window pops up (on the top bar of the sub window) and you should see how to enable it there.

It allows the games scripts to run unchecked by Windows. Checked in the blocking sense not in the scrutinized for malicious software sense. Windows views the scripts as potentially harmful and so it doesn't allow them. Your game will then crash or they just won't run and it will be missing half the content. :)

Make sure you turn on hidden files. When you are on file explorer, go to the top toolbar and click on view. Then click the box next to hidden items. Then you will be able to find your virtual store

What if I've found the virtual store but only have program files not program files 86?

Well let me thank you for not just coming on here and telling us how shit we all are. :) Most common causes of unspecified error are the following: - Not running the installers as administrator. - Installing one of the parts in the wrong place. - Corrupted download (well documented phenomena of Mod DB, try Mediafire) - Not disabling UAC or deleting Virtualstore entries (less common and least likely cause) (not applicable if you installed outside of program files x86) Unspecified errors are caused by missing or broken files and not inherent errors with the mod. It can usually only be fixed by wiping the entirety of TATW from your system and re-downloading everything and starting again. All I can do is wish you the best and implore you to take each step slowly and ensure you follow all the steps. :) I am sorry you are having trouble though.

Finally, after deleting map.rwm, descr_geography_new etc. and its strings(!), changing the video settings, unchecking autoadjustment for my clock and removing tatw.cfg, it works. Took quite some time, I hope if there is an update in the future, these issues could be included. Anyways, after looking at the campaigns and the changelog I am blown away by the depth you guys added as well as changing some major gameplay/ script issues like spawning of enemy stacks etc. that TATW 3.2 had. I gotta say, you guys changed a medicore part of the series into something that is a top notch game.

Pff..dude.. ''OS(C:)'' is just the C main local disk...he just renamed it...if you have the steam version and not disk version of the game it's fine..UAC it's very easy to turn off. The problem is that virtual store thing must be done if you have installed the game in your ,,Program files (x86)''. For example I installed the game in my ''D'' drive.. so you should try unninstall the game outside of program files..only thing you will have to do is turning off UAC!

It is hidden. You need to unhide your hidden folders. Search google. It is a 3 click job.

Me too I installed a new third age 3 and all was running well Then installed dac 1 and it somehow changed the launcher but with all my dac and third age versions. I guess this is the problem. Do you get an medieval 2 screen and it then crashes ?

I know I'm replying to a 2 years old comment but I think you've just described the starting units in various settlements which aren't set by campaign difficulty but set up by the modders and they did not make different starting units for rebel settlements for different difficulty settings as far as I know so it's going to be the same on easy and very hard.
