no town is ever ready for it,its called economic growthand some of those little towns really need it and the retirees moving here to these towns make the hospital so clogged and doctors with so many patients so they cant take more, yes towns will need to grow or they die out and go empty
There's a hook valley leading north to the Pemberton Meadows and an active movement to connect Pemberton to Harrison Lake. This would be much better than funneling more traffic through Vancouver.
The Lausman pass portion is too steep for semi (especially the east portion towards Jervis Inlet) and would need revision for a more viable commercial use. Also that Valley between Jervis inlet and the pass for some reason just scream “avalanche!” to me, steep north face on the southside and long straight south face on the north side. The south face of the mountain Alfred also lacks vegetation being so high so it might have high avalanche risk as well. Tunnelling through that part might be much safer but it will be a lot more money.
Hunaechin river is how google spells it, in case you are looking for the entrance to that 3.2 km tunnel. Speaking of which, a quick search guesses that the tunnel would cost about $1 billion, give or take a few hundred million, depending on what they find when they start digging. Got a billion bucks?
rather see a bridge at saltery bay coneecting to sechelt ,gibson and vancouver!,best choice, road would be seasonal, bridge could be tolled to pay for itself
I think if B.C. ferries eliminates the langdale and saltery bay ferry why can’t the replace the saltery bay ferry with a route to departure bay from saltery bay and Earls cove and relocate langdale and then Victoria will have to terminals just like nanaimo and. vancouver
