Sam is a wimp with the education of a comedian. Dropped out of law school after only one year to be a comic, and that's all he is. Not a scientist or one that can critique one.

Sam Harris is a race realist. A race realist is a euphemism. He promoted the Bell Curve and was all butthurt that the author wasn't given a platform. He has no qualms however not to debate Sam Seder, because his ideas are not aligned with his. It tells you really who Sam Harris really is.

Why is there a comment here about Sam Harris and why is the Charles Murray stuff brought up? Because that's the pet troll Seder uses on Harris, of course. Not that Seder isn't right about Weinstein in this instance, he clearly is, but mocking has its place and Seder's show frequently goes beyond. MB is especially insufferable. IDW is mostly assholes, but with regard to their complaints on cancel culture they are not wrong and Seder is.

Proves on some level the intellectual rigor of Sam's audience, wherever else, whenever I _try_ to point out that the authors of the paper have said when asked that the most frustrating thing about discovering the Dunning-Kruger Effect is that people "try to use it to explain stupid people," even though everyone will come under its spell at one point or another, in fact intelligent people might be more likely to fall victim to it, because they're more confident in their abilities; crickets.

It's as if Weinstein saw the potential "you say I say" moment and then used it as a way out of discussion without ever addressing his parallels with Black Americans while demanding public apology in one go. It's unfortunate that Seder didn't keep bringing it up... or maybe he was about to before getting blocked? Idk. Either way, I honestly can't see any possibility of him going to Seder's show willingly had the tweets been nicer.

But surely, you understand that a person like that (Weinstien) is unwilling to engage somebody like Sam because there might be merit to their arguments, which would make Weinstien look less intelligent. This was the only kind of engagement Sam was ever going to get from a member of the IDW, so he settled for petty feud. Remember, it's an echo chamber they operate in. The whole purpose of Sam trying to get under their skin is to attempt to disrupt the echo, and expose their viewers to alternative perspectives. The IDW keeps it petty so they don't have to engage on real issues.

Returnality - happy to help! :) He resigned claiming that he was being constantly hectored in the wake of his refusal to participate in a compulsory day of absence. In fact, the day of absence was voluntary, and he emailed the school’s mailing list a rant about how the day was an example of reverse racism, then nothing happened for two months. In this time, two black people were arrested on trumped-up charges, and, two months after the email incident, a protest of this arrest took place in a quad near where he happened to be teaching. He proceeded to go out and confront these protestors, whose noise was disturbing his class. It is at this point that he resigned. So to recap, he *resigned* (meaning that if anything this is a self-cancellation) *two months after* he got so triggered by an *optional* event that he had to email *everyone on campus* a rant about reverse racism, because a *random* group of students *happened* to be protesting a *completely unrelated* event. He then proceeded to build a career as the “cancelled professor of Evergreen State”.

Yeah, I gotta disagree with Sam on this one. I really don't think he understands the experience of neurodivergent people. There is a lot of overlap and as you've said, it is harder in some areas and easier in others.
