I've been playing 50+years, You Hit Right On Brother! I've been messing around with this song, and, watched a few tutorials on it, and I haven't seen, One,as Good as You've Done! Thanks,I love this song.😍
Thanks El and yes I am. well, I cannot lie. before I took up the guitar, I was a professional drummer (6 nights a week for 17 years back in the day) so I think that probably helped me
Hey, Pat! I just happened to stumble upon this video of you at your 9th month mark at playing guitar. I must say that this is pretty damned good pickin' and grinnin' for only 9 months. I've been playing every day since 1973 (except for a 5 year complete hiatus from '95-2000), With the skills I have today, and with the progress you just only had at 9 months, I would have been proud and really would've enjoyed playing the fills and double stops to this song, behind your rhythm and singing, even back then. I bet your REALLY good now...12 and a half years later...Keep on keepin' on!
Thanks Tone, and yes I would love to have collaboration on my tunes. wish you lived in Seattle. I think I'm better now but my thing has mostly been the theory side of music untill now, I'm 72 so I mostly just want to play the music nowadays and learn new songs. but again, thanks
Hey buddy not bad at all !!! This video right here is a testament to Martin !!! Even those MIM sound great !! The song you picked is by one of my top 5 bands of all time “ The Amazing Rhythm Aces” !!! Just a killer band !! I noticed you played it in “ D “ & im almost certain they did it in “ A “ so again way to go changing the key for your voice !! I’ve been playing 25+ years & at 9 months I didn’t know to do that … I noticed one guy said for you to slow down & that’s a thing everyone does when there new to playing or even just learning a new song but from what I heard it sounded like you keep that rhythm where it was supposed to be for that song , I still play that song when I play out by myself & I probably slow it down more than it should be , so all that said Good job buddy!!! Also when you get ready to play some leads & fills listen to some Doc Watson , Tony rice , or Clarence White all great flat pickers that are fast & you can also get some great music out of it!! Then when you get ready for a electric guitar 🎸 you want to get a tele , definitely the most versatile guitar in my opinion!! Then by that time you just may become a guitar addict like myself & others !!! At that point contact cause I have a number you can call for guitars-anonymous!!! 😂😂😂
Pats Guitar Journey yes paddy I'm paddy c from activemelody, don't know how I ended up on your RU-vid but I enjoyed your acoustic performance and love your voice, well done and fair play to you.
