Third way seems unachievable, since achieving social equality while retaining traditional capitalist markets leads to a paradox imo No matter how egalitarian we make our laws, wealthier people will always have some edge over people that do not have a lot of income, otherwise there would be no incentive to accumulate wealth so it sounds still like standard capitalism dressed in clothes of "market and culture are independent from each other we promise"
No, the point is to try and remove the benefits of wealth that make them more likely to gain more wealth, while keeping the benefits of wealth that just make their life better. So, under a third way system, rich kids will have a better quality of life than poor kids but not better schooling, as an example. Of course, its somewhat impossible to completely do this, but it can be done a great long way.
Even though I'm skewed to the conservative right I would really a Third Way centrist government like we had under Bill Clinton compared to a modern overly divisive administration we have now that constantly attacks the other side without making progress.
