Part 6: • Thirstin Howl the 3rd ...
Part 4: • Thirstin Howl III on L...
Part 1: • Thirstin Howl III on M...
--------
In this clip, Thirstin Howl III spoke about getting out of prison when he was around 23, and being one of the first graduating classes in NYC from former NFL star Jim Brown's Amer-I-Can Foundation. Thirstin then went on to speak about working for another program and getting a job at MTV, which led to Vlad asking about his rap career. Thirstin explained that while he was a student of hip-hop, he wasn't a rapper until around 1996 when he developed his persona and name. You can hear the full story above.
In the latest clip, Thirstin Howl the 3rd detailed his various battles with famous rappers while working at MTV. He described battling Jay-Z after multiple attempts as well as battle with Coolio in an elevator. Busta Rhymes was so impressed after their hour-long battle that he took Thirstin to multiple record labels to get get him a deal. He also explained how he convinced The Source to include him in their "Unsigned Hype" column. However, he was locked up in Rikers Island when his column was published.

So I'm glad to be seeing him get his love, respect, and flowers in the comments now. Wihout him, the Lo Lifes, and everything they did hip hop would be a totally different thing today than it is. An idea for an episode? We know you get big hits on the La Eme/Sureno stuff! Ranks in the Eme... I thought it was simply each brother was equal rank and usually the boss of their "varrio". I know in some cases like Florencia 13 we have the "Three Kings" but still. So here we have a lot of guys online now saying we have lieutenants and captains... And lieutenants are known as the black hand/first or whatever they say because they can make the five full carnales. It is mostly old timers saying this stuff. Is that how it use to be back in the day but now everyone is equal or what is the story? So what is the true structure of the Eme?
