In the latest clip, Thirstin Howl the 3rd talked about his relationship with Eminem while they were grinding on the battle rap circuit. He revealed that he and Eminem were on the same team during the Rap Olympics and witnessed Eminem lose to Juice. He added that the Rap Olympics battle wasn't the first time Eminem and Juice battled and said Juice beat the rap star three times before their famous battle. After praising Juice and other battle rapper, such as Supernatural, Thirstin still referred to Eminem as "the truth" and recalled times when he would come to Brownsville and rhyme for hours. He also said a person has to love Hip Hop extremely to have Eminem's skill.

The Battle Rap Culture of today thinks battle rap started with the Smack DVD era. The earliest they go back to, when I hear them talk about Battle Rap history, is Fight Club.. I’ve heard recording from at least one battle. Eminem easily won in the recording I’ve heard. Maybe he got him in the others, but Eminem was better in the shit that I’ve heard. The thing about Eminem’s battles is that you can tell it’s written because it’s so much better than the other people battling. Not saying Eminem can’t go off the top, but every battle I’ve heard sounds written.

True indeed. Words was different the way he was spittin back then. Mirror Music is an incredible album that probably came out at the wrong time, right around when NY lost its sound and everybody wanted to be like the South. I always thought Words and J-Live were two of the sharpest “emcees’ emcees” in the game but they never really got the credit they deserved.

They finally posted some footage of that battle with 'Nat in '99 and he had showmanship but juice had lyricism. Even 'Nat said that and thought Juice couldn't be that ill off tha head..
