I agree with you. This song and video gives me the creeps but it's right. We're all going through this right now and it scares me. After seeing what happened in Israel, this song definitely struck a cord. Jared Leto has an awesome voice. I think he knew what was going to happen in his mind and he was right. God help us.

For example, there is a game called ARMA, where it's a simulated realistic warfare game, many moments in that game can, simulate real battles. It's like comparing a movie battle to a real battle, to see if it matches up with realism, there is no difference, otherwise Saving Private Ryan was disrespectful.

Connsider this: Soldiers are ordered to go where they are sent, whether they agree with the policy or not. I didn't agree with America's involvement in the middle east, but while i was there, I did my best to be a good human being and serve those Soldiers around me and because I was a medic, I also provided routine and emergency care for the people of those countries. If you are angry, send angry but well written letters to politicians but try to send a box of socks or chocolates to the Soldiers.

Body frozen and unable to move I was mesmerized by the sound and realized myself there with all of you! I must say that the part where they show the soldier aiming and shooting close up I must have looked into his eyes while pausing it at that very moment and to only see through his eyes as if I were him and him were one. Thats amazing!! I'm proud that I am able to feel that. It's in my bones!

Yeah, like plenty of songs and music videos portray soldiers as Nazis, Fascist, Murderers. But they don't just protest the war itself. I once worked along side a man who probably would have aimed a rifle at my dad. This guy was kind, hard working, and yet he was the enemy of my country 50 years ago. I feel both him and my late dad would have probably had long talks. I know he was in a battle against another guy at the same place and they cannot work with each other and would get into fights. I can understand their pain on both sides. Both had to fight for their countries causes and watched those they knew die around them and suffer. Next war we enter I vote we don't send kids. We send the assholes who wanna sit in chairs collecting 7 figures off the people.

I remember seeing people commenting on the scene of them shooting at the flying vehicles like it would do anything, almost making fun of the absurdity of that. Only now, do I realise that that scene is meant to represent a few things about war: Chaos, Bravery in the face of Hopelessness, and Comradery. It shows how suddenly shit hits the fan in war, and how valiantly soldiers fight to protect themselves and each other despite it. Even when the odds are hopelessly stacked against them, they do everything they can to ensure the best outcome. They jump instantly into action to defend their position, call for their allies to fall back to safety, and warn them of a perceived threat. The Humvee being lifted off the ground bears striking resemblance to a vehicle rigged with explosives, for instance. "Get out, get out" and "Get away from that thing!"

I will just say though, out of all the early/mid 2000s rock/metal songs that had a war theme, this isnt the best. Systen of a Down had better and so did Prayer of the Refuge. But the thing about this song is the music video uses REAL footage of how real war is, instead of just talking about it. This as all of Jared's films, was more about visual than audio.
