I have that rail and I'm in Brooklyn also, but for some reason I find it so intimidating than a ledge. Like, it's harder for me to roll away than a ledge. I'm assuming it's a mental barrier idk

haha no one would do that in this area in broad day light, it ways about 100 pounds so i would hear it moving, i also filmed for about 20 seconds total, also no one is really in that area besides old rich people. they all just think it's a bench to sit on

You must have some thirsty thieves in your country. It's not like he left his phone or wallet sitting over there. This is a giant chunk of metal and hardware. 1) How many random people would look at that and see the value? 2) It's extremely heavy and no thief would be able to run anywhere with it. 3) Nobody is looking at that and thinking that it is worth the effort to steal.

I've got a 6ft one and I love it. It will slide a little bit if you're banging a noseslide into it really hard and the concrete it's on is too smooth but generally it's extremely stable. Learned a lot of new tricks already!

I recently bought the Madd Gear Ninety9 rail on amazon on a whim. Its a 100 bucks but built SUPER STURDY. And I weigh 200 pounds. Highly recommend it.

You saying ramp kept throwing me off lol I guess you just miss spoke but the rail looks like it’s DEFINITELY worth it. I’m actually thinking of grabbing it. I can haul it in my truck and set it up on any flat ground and have my own private area instead of driving 20 minutes and waiting for others to do their runs for a chance to embarrass myself learning new tricks at a skate park. The fact that the rail didn’t look like it moved AT ALL with your tricks is a big selling point....

KINGamer 1993 actually some of the skill does translate, I could never do any BMX tricks but once I learned skateboarding I learned the body mechanics of turning my shoulders and bending my knees for landing, also the time of shoulders and legs is similar for bunny hops to ollies. I do a lot of freestyle skating which helped me with balance and rhythm for flatland bmx. They’re definitely not the same but there are translatable skills.

From an engineering aspect, with the number of reinforcing ribs with thick walled tube and square stock, I bet it would hold up to a tandem BMX double peg grind with sumo wrestlers at the helm. Not sure about the bolt connections to the feet at that point, but it definitely looks far beyond 20% over engineered. lol Probably take care as to how you transport it if you have a truck, because it for sure falls into "could decapitate you" if you had to stop suddenly category..
