@@kennorcott7074 lambo is owned by Audi so not a big deal there. Pegani's car are for the ultra rich do it doesn't matter there. This one is targetted towards middle class who is feeling the crunch already.
Not only are your videos incredible, straight, to the point, very entertaining and informative, but something I don’t see mentioned is how positive your comment section always is. That’s an impressive feat on its own for RU-vid 😂
I absolutely love what Rivian, Hummer, and Chevrolet with the Silverado EV are doing. These are premium off-road electric BEAST. Can’t wait to see this and the Hummer SUV in their own full reviews and eventually the GMC Yukon AT4x EV.
@@ericreid8111 he has his primary reviews and I believe he's also been working with Edmunds for a few years. It'll be a long slow road but he's got all the right chops to have his own brand in the auto space - happy to see him blow up over the last 4 years.
Pretty much every car has a skid plate you remove for the oil change anyhow... Techs throws your plastic skid plate out because they forgets to put it back on afterwards, seen it at every shop iv ever worked at..
@@themousebouse I've thrown a hand full out. Not because I forgot, but the owner scrapes tf out of them and ruins the mounting tabs. Making it impossible to re install. Or with Ford's that use the felt like cardboard. They fall apart after the first puddle the owner runs through.
Besides manufacturers aren't even given you the chance to change you're oil and other fluids anymore thats why people are tired of all this and buying older cars from two decades ago when things made since and were easier to work on that is also why they...the manufacturer want to make everything electric and get rid of gas so that no one will be able to buy older cars when they can't afford new electric vehicles because, there's going to be no gas for us consumers to buy...
I'm sure a shorter wheelbase is nice for off-roading but one of the great things about EVs is being able to have ridiculously big vehicles and the accompanying luxuries without worrying much about fuel cost and emissions. I greatly prefer the additional space and comforts in the larger truck, that thing is like a mobile cabin in the woods, all it is missing is a nice camp bed and reading nook.
@@kietngo3654 yes but majority of EVs cost well more then the average American can afford especially if they do not have the credit to get approved for that amount of a loan, in 10-15 years prices will continue to skyrocket if the inflation rate continues as is or worsens
EVs have only been mass produced for what? 15 years? You know who owned Ford Model A’s when they were first produced. The elite. The average household income in 1900 was roughly $450 and a Model A cost anywhere from $600-$1000. But improvements in manufacturing and technology made them much more affordable relative to American wages as time progressed. Hang tight, in no time EVs will be affordable as well.
The chevy bolt, nissan leaf, and mini cooper ev are all $30k or less and there are many more electric vehicles that can be had for less than $50k. Sure they aren't exactly cheap but what new car is these days?
As long as you’re not towing anything heavy you should have plenty of juice to do whatever you need. And if you have a couple of solar panels you may need to wait an entire day tops , BUT you would you be able to move the vehicle in case of an emergency. Or you could also just pack a generator and put 5 gallons of gas. If it’s an emergency, it’s an emergency and it would require a drastic Solution
@@Proximittee you can't solar charge that thing. Even a 110v outlet gets you about 3 miles of range per hour charging. That many solar panels is prohibitive for off roading and the setup would cost over $10k additional. A Jerry can of gas is about $25 bucks.
The needles are not for bike tires. They usually use Schrader valves which most tires use as well. The needles are for things like football, soccer/basket balls, etc
@@Gecko1115 Learn how to invest a job won’t get you financial freedom. I’m 19 with my own truck I made 300k last year and put most of it in real estate which nets me another 25k monthly. Take care of your retirement too and you’ll be ok
@@ghostkilla931 we know it's an suv but you can call it a truck in a casual manner because suvs and trucks can perform really well on offroads, yes in the end they have major differences but yeah...it's just in a casual manner
Whoa it’s less than a grand wagoneer yet looks just like one and seemingly performs better. Seems like a no brainer to pick one up if you’re in the market for that size suv. Really strong product from rivian!
You forgot to mention it's faster than most sports cars when you floor it. 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds. Absolutely insane. It's the only car to de-throne the McLaren F1 from the doug demuro scoring system in the past 3 years with an overall highest score of 74/100. In my opinion it is the perfect car.
Nah bruh he reviews cars all supercar blonde does is show them off, say some stuff about it, and drive it. This guy gives us a good review while showing the performance which I really like
It doesn’t belong “off-road” b/c even ON road it’s gonna have range anxiety, Good luck finding charging stations in rural Maine, Montana, Colorado, Utah etc. lol, gonna bring a “can of electricity” w/ ya when you off-road?
What is the history? Could you please explain? I agree with you from an early standpoint. But in the long term going forward, the government seem to be forcing everyone to get EVs… California banned the sale of new gasoline cars in 2035… what is that saying??? The law is in control. It’s where the money is going
@@scoutwilliams5875 I like that. I don’t believe we should all just go EV bc the weather up north doesn’t suit EVs. I tried to research what you are implying, but EV cars were dead by 1910s & they tried to bring them back in the 60s but none made it into production. They were reintroduced in the 90s & 2000s which is where we are today. Could you provide me with your source?
@@Jaymake I’m from Scandinavia but I’m in Texas and neither of the places is suitable for EVs, 58-63’s EVs concept cars were flaunted everywhere and promoted as the big future and gasoline replacement. They all blew up and burnt up before leaving the factory. We can’t go full electric without enough power and options. Im sorry but an electric 4x4 is yet to beat an atv
It’s a street car. The engineers agree. Watch the suspension. Very very stiff sway bars and chassis- not much articulation. It also has all season street tires designed for minimum rolling resistance(also, an all terrain would destroy the range of the vehicle). Then there’s the drivetrain- no 2 speed transfer case. That’s a problem especially for steep and technical trails. Instead of using gear reduction to control wheel speed like EVERY SINGLE purpose built 4wd ever- it uses abs software to control wheel speed. This is especially dangerous on slippery trails as the car will apply the brakes for you and potentially cause the wheel(s) to lose traction. All bad qualities. You clearly lack mechanical knowledge. At least you’ve got a whole bunch of arrogance to fill it’s place up there. Clown
Infrastructure is currently a big issue where I live holding me back. Current prices are still very high and unknown repair cost are a long term concern without warranty. In a few years possibly, but a hybrid or similar is best option for myself.
I actually love this thing, I think they did an awesome job! That being said, I’d like to see a world where there are electric vehicles being made as well as ICE vehicles.
"And that's on street tires." Takes on the hardest slightly bumpy off road he can find. Take that thing really off road. And your gonna get stuck not just from the tires. But the shear weight of the vehicle alone. Off road tires are going to be a must. 💯
You might wanna watch Engineering Explained explanation of why the Rivian has the best off-roading suspension ever. All 4 wheels can be independently controlled.
I saw a guy come to work in a new Rivian and I thought it looked nice but I pointed out that uneven gaps in the doors. One side was higher than the other. But that was my 5-minute inspection of his vehicle. Otherwise a nice truck that I would consider before a Tesla.
Eh ground clearance on paper (flat ground) is one thing, keeping all 4 tires in contact with the ground on uneven terrain is a whole other beast. I'll still take a traditional 4x4 over one with all independent suspension, air bags, and computers doing the work for you.
