Just my 2 cents Chad....I believe true surviver cars should be left alone. Only maintained. Cars that have be stripped out or crashed over the years are good candidates for cutting up and playing around with. Food for thought.

I would leave it as is. If it's in great condition then leave it alone. If it's rusted out then modify it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! 😁👍 But, if you buy it it will be yours to do with as you please and we have to respect that fact. I would just restore the inside and you could modify the back doors if you absolutely had to do something to it.

Due to the depression Chevrolet and Pontiac Divisions were merged together as a cost saving measure, and at one point GM execs considered killing the Pontiac brand all together. A well heeled gentleman named Frank Hershey swooped in and kept the brand alive. He created the Silver Streak which was essentially a silver band running down the center of the hood which would distinguish virtually the same parts from Chevy and Pontiac with something as simple as a chrome band! Now Pontiac had a visual brand identity.

My older brother just sold his 1948 4 door Chevrolet for $ 4,000 he got what he wanted for it it still had the original paint job or it was painted once long time ago. Anything higher than $5,000 it better be super clean it's just a common car from the 1940s. I have a 2door Chevrolet coupe the body is clean but it's been messed with before I bought it so I don't mind kustomizing it chop top with air bags, a whole new interior design

Brother Chad you do what ever you want to with that car. When I was at wyotech we watched a movie where Gene Winfield chopped a Merc. Not just some rusted out project, this was a merc with nice paint and nice interior, and he cleaned the paint off where they were going to cut and away they went with chopping a nice, painted, finished driving mercury. You build custom cars, you cut that car up too, and appreciate the fact that this canvas is nicer or cleaner than some of the other cars you have built before. Just my 2 cents. Thanks and keep on it

This '48 is far too nice to customize, it’s near perfect like it is, too nice to mess with please. It has a special kind of beauty that should be left alone. What I’d like to see (if you wouldn’t mind) would be a 2005-2010 Chrysler 300 Srt8, full on converted to the gangster style car of the late 30’s, early 40’s. Custom paint, custom ground effects kit, trim delete, lowered, tinted out windows, engine built up, rims and tires, and smoked headlights and tail lights, a wide body kit? Black that beast out! It is an awesome start to the ultimate gangster car. You are only limited by your imagination!
