Fixing and restoring a 1958 Belvedere is a challenging job. No fear for high spending and bad luck. The more mysterious stories related to this car, the higher value it will get. Thanks.

I grew up in those old Mopars & LOVE them! Dad had a 58 Imperial with 392 dual quads. Eventually the exhaust rusted & one summer for about a month before he got it fixed I was allowed to start it every morning before he left for work. WOW that was cool! He had them all & we would sleep in the back (me & my 3 sisters) while Dad drove 120MPH all night long as we travelled for vacations. Once he bought a whole pile of Dodge Polara state police cars. All with 440`s & one 454 Impala FBI car thrown in for good measure! Yup, 383, 400, 413, 440, 318 poly dual quad, Newport, New Yorker, Crown & LeBaron Imperials, Fury, Belvedere, Desoto, we had them all & then I got to have Cuda, Challenger, Coronet 500 & a 68 Charger R/T 440! Yes, I`d love seeing more of that 58 Plymouth. I hope it reaches it`s glory, a fine car I`d love to own! Thanks.

I'm loving it! with a 1957 Chrysler 392 V8 Hemi with dual quads! And Torqueflite, as good as a 3 or 4 speed stick shift. I had a 1958 Plymouth Fury, all original, and I loved that Torqueflite power with the original 1958 Fury Golden Commando 350-V8 with dual quads.

When I was much younger I spent a lot of time in the junkyards/pick your part operations in the Los Angeles area. This was over 40 years ago. I saw so many of these old mopars getting scrapped as they were getting close to 15 20 years old then. They couldn't crush them fast enough. It amazes me that they're still turning up all these years later.

With three dead restorers, this 1958 Belvedere is a scary classic restoration challenge. She needs a rebuilt transmission. I'm sure you will succeed in this fear conquering job. Thanks.

Once (2018) i bought a cheap 1974 Chevelle hearse. Soon after, lights started to behave, like turning off and on at random times, then we (my friend and me) set a camera close to the car and after watching the video we heard steps getting closer and closer, then sounds like someone was trying to manipulate the camera. Then a few days later i was working there alone, i hurt myself while trying to remove a bearing, then i began loudly cursing and ranting about my luck, when all of the sudden i hear a huge bang followed by thick dust all over the place. It was the hearse front right tire that completely blew apart. Then i calmed down and sold that car really cheap few days later.

I had a close friend in high school whose Dad purchased a slightly used 1958 4dr Belvedere unknowingly with the Golden Commando package. The car had less than 10,000 miles on it. It had the factory paint of the Golden Commando option, 360 cubic inch 2-4 barrel engine, dual point in ignition, dual exhaust and heavy duty Torqueflight trans, and limited slip rearend. It was a real sleeper! She won her class at the local drag strip in pure stock several times. On the street she was never beat beat but her glory came to a short time. After two blown out muffers and a blown out transmission my buddy’s Dad sold the car. He just thought he had purchased a lemon. We know it was a jewel!

That '58 looks like she's ready to load up some 'shine and outrun some treasury agents. What a magnificent beast of a car! I sure hope you can resist the urge to butcher it, and just let it be a '58 Belvedere. Make it mechanically perfect, clean it up real nice, and you're done. It's way beyond badass just the way it is. The cool factor is off the chart.

That would be my daily, because little boys and girls need to see what cars look like when they're NOT designed by computers.
