@@stevenneese12 I heard of people having to do handling mods as its 'like driving a boat'. They are not bad cars to be fair and a bargain for what they are
@@dallasmellsop5488 gen2s are far less agressive when stock compared to the gen1. I have a gen1 and its much more raw and aggresive when you get on it. Also any gen2 I've driven, when you get on it, it doesn't feel like you're going as fast as you are.
Impressive at 500whp. I haven't reached that yet but I'm happy with my 452whp stock internals on E85. Its been reliable for 2 years other than burning out my first stock clutch and now I have an ACT. Good video on that beast bro
Nice coverage on this 3 MPS, Mark has been around a while on MPS forums and well deserves this coverage of his MPS. I hope to bring you my AWD 6 MPS beast to your channel one day keep the MPS alive! (maybe you can get some power down in the wet with a 6!) :D
Another top video! Please keep posting some top diesel reviews if possible as their truly under rated!! Maybe a stage 3 focus st diesel.. theres plenty on the diesel st owners or focus st diesel facebook pages. Cheers Phill
Got the exact same set up on my 6 on stock internals at 150k! , only difference is I'm running cpe topmount full aem meth kit. Very underestimated engines in my opinion, as long as you run all supporting mods, safety seals n good breathing for crank case ect they are incredibly reliable 💪👌👍
I'd of done the same thing if funds stretched that much. I was looking at the 3 MPS as they are cheap for what they are and have kind of a boxer sound to it. I sat in a R35 and its unreal 🤯
It's not a standard Mazda 3, it's an MPS. The only components the MPS really shares with the standard 3 is the chassis (with considerable strengthening in the case of the MPS), the dash crash pad, the headlining and certain parts of the audio and HVAC systems - Literally everything else is different with different part numbers to the standard Mazda 3. Therefore, you can safely assume the brakes fitted to the MPS from factory are actually quite capable, using Volvo sourced calipers and 320mm front discs. The MPS uses a real mechanical torsen LSD standard, not an e-lsd. I have no idea just why people in the UK keep removing the factory torsen LSD for a Quaife LSD that is no more than a torsen variant to get around patent licencing.
Most people would probably lie mate, they may have got it from inheritance too. My dad works with a lot of people with nice cars, there's a brand new 75k C63 that someone saved up for 15 years for, someone there has a BMW i8 but lives in a tiny council flat so he can have a nice car, another has Porsche GT3 RS. My dad has an M140i, he works on the London Underground and he doesn't tell me exactly how much he earns but I know he pays 40% tax and can get £8 for a minute overtime, although overtime isn't optional to ask for; it would just happen by accident if for example the Tube was running late when he's meant to finish if you get what I mean? just to convey how they can afford cars like that! Sorry to ramble on I just thought maybe it would interest you due to your comment lol.
Josh Lawson it’s something I often wonder too but even if you knew the answer would it help you to achieve the car you want? I used to work in the oil and gas industry making good money and yeah I spunked a bit on cars lol.
I'd say it was because their priorities are all wrong/different. I earn just shy of £60k and have a relatively new (17plate) CLA45 Shooting Brake. Paid for in cash saved up. My wife earns £130k and brought herself an Audi Q2 S-Line. We have no kids, a £300k mortgage, £460k house, no money worries and £5-£9k holidays 1-2 times a year. We also have lots of savings for a rainy day. I bet most on here are likely living at home with a standard job, no kids etc. I could be wrong but I doubt I could "afford" to spend half the money they do on a car.....my wife would kill me. (Also live in North Buckinghamshire).
I have a Mazda running 400 bhp jtuned absolutely love the thing. Same setup as this with no meth atm. Meth kit is in my next order of bits. Appreciate watching the video as mines sat on the drive at the minute.
I have a 2010 Speed 3 on a BNR S3 that makes ~390/380 whp/wtq, and it's definitely a blast. My long-term goal is a PTE gen2 5558 and tuning it for 500whp (on a 4032 pistons engine build).
@officiallygassed loooooooooool bro had some nervous laughs there hahahah ah man this video was sick. These Mazda's man I swear they real sleepers seen a few now and once they've put the power down there moving. Could tell the moment u foot pushed abit the fight was unreal lool love see this back in dry and on track or something . Love it bro keep up good Xmas n new year
@@klt-gb6vr Your very wrong. It's an L Series engine designed and built by Mazda. Used in Ford. Remember Mazda had this engine in their cars before Ford ever had them.
Love the styling on the 3 / 6 mps, got a mean stance! Big bang for you buck on these. Would love to give one a razz. Road tax is a bit of a stinger unfortunately. Thanks Jamie, absolutle Don for uploading on Christmas eve 👍Just finished work myself, let the indulgent abuse commence..
Im from Australia.. got an MPS with 294hp (220kw) and the torque steer in that is crazy.. Its made me full on change lanes and tries to side swipe cars i overtake if i give it some love, and thats in the dry! You must be nuts driving that in the wet.. lol Nice car!
Let us all appriciate and look after our speed3 and mps's its very special cars.we all dont know it yet.but in a few years this cars is gona make bigger names then all the latest hot hatches.
In the wet, in my stock 2008 Mazdaspeed3, with traction control turned off, the tires will spin all the way through 3rd gear. I can't imagine if you add another 237 hp! Whoah!!
Ah a mazda 3 MPS otherwise known Mazda performance series in other countries not Japan or USA. I'm seeing so many mazdaspeed 3 videos now, Mazdaspeed 3 being its name model here in the us. I'm astonished. Lastly, called Axela in Japan. Cool video!
Mate had a 300hp one. It would constantly fucking torque steer and pop boost hoses but he loved the thing more than life. Fun, but scary cars to drive, one wrong movement and you're dead.
Nice to see another built speed. Got one myself with a Corksport CST5 ( GTX30 ) and a 6th port injection by kozmic and yea its def an underrated car lol !
Another amazing video bud 👌🏻 thanks for the amazing content threw 2019 bro, much appreciated. Looking forward to what 2020 brings to the channel. Happy holidays Jamie mate, Enjoy your Christmas break. 😎💯
