TAiiNE no shit a plane is a plane and a bird is a bird. u cant compare animals to machines, because 3 million miles travelled for an animal is quite astonishing.
Humans are weird when it comes to aging, because skin is one of the worst organs when it comes to renewing itself. In contrast, most animals have a covering over their skin or membranes, such as feather, fur, or scales.
@@henksnor584 Time is relative. That's why I'm curious. We know humans who live closer to sea level perceive time slightly slower than someone on a mountain. Same is true for someone in flight and someone who is stationary. The average human lifespan is roughly the same age as these birds so I just wonder if they perceive time the same as us. We only have a concept of time because we have memories to gauge it with. If these birds don't store memories the same their perception of time would be vastly different I imagine. It's just an interesting thing to ponder.
That time difference you mentioned is so negligible that it cant even be measured by us accurately. Anyway to a bird I think this would feel like seeing a human who's made it to 150 or something.
I'm reading books from Frans de Waal and Robert Sapowsky, very interesting work in animal behavior and also quite amount of chapters talking about the question you raised. Highly recommend.
Crystal M honestly a pretty good question. But probably passed on already. :/ but this is a pretty rare sea bird with a long lifespan, not something you would see everyday.
@Oftin Wong i have seen the difference when taking fish oil tablets and difference after leaving them... So ya they work great! Especially on skin glow
Oftin Wong - Are you trying to imply whey protein doesn't work? LOL do you actually workout? It benefits A person greatly unless you use absolute garbage that has alot of additives.
@@arfathkhalid1099 Same! I felt the difference for my lupus/arthritis/ whatever's really ailing my joints and muscles. Tend to feel a more intense ache in my body but with nice fish oil it dulled or removed the pain. I was reaaally sceptical too, didn't want to take aaanooother daily pill onto my list but it's one I'm sure to never go without!
Magnus I don’t watch porn and I know what a gilf is lmao... do you watch porn cause that’s where you know it’s from.... creep..... people just know what gilf means because it’s term that’s been passed on from person to person
Am shocked to believe she is 67 years old n the way she is doing for her family is incredible.... Such a generous hearted n so I like albatross alottt . I came to know of this bird only after watching a Turkish series Erkenci Kus in which the hero compared to albatross ... This is sooperbbb...living with 3 generations but no tym to spend with them... That's a bit sad... But to her, her family is the main priority n A MOTHER can't let her CHILD to be in hunger for more time... That's mother's love...😍💖💖💖
I adore Wisdom! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 She's one year older than me and truly beautiful, unlike me. Parrots only live this long in captivity, not in the wild I can honestly state here and now, that I will cry my eyes out on the day I hear that Wisdom is no longer with us. 😭
@Oftin Wong I answered my own question (see the edit), but yes, basically, it's because of the exceptionally high nutrient value of the oil preserved from the mother's mostly fish diet. Most bird offspring don't have this ability to fast for weeks, so it's astounding to me.
Imagine you’re being a curious chick to ask your mom her age out of nowhere. Then she cuts child support from her mate and slaps you with her tail feddurz and leaves, dats how yo momma do...
albatri are so beautiful and I love how they are pleased to see their partners when they meet and they do the clacky beek thing and dance w/ each other its sooo sweet they are one of my favourite birbs
@@cannae920 It was a joke. Other than humans, only a few other animal species go through menopause (and it would surprise you to find out what they are). No birds go through menopause.
Was once sailing from Mazatland to Puerta Viarta on a friends yacht. Dropped the hook and hiked up an amazing old volcano, walked up to blue-footed Boobies and under the banana trees where the Albatrosses had a few nests per tree. Isabella Islands, far off the coast. They have the longest wingspan-to-body-length ratio of all birds. Amazing.
Theyve been tracking her since she was tagged all them years ago and she's flew over 3,000,000 miles that means she's flew around the world 120 times. What amazing things and change shes must of seen over the years
That's a long time for a rooster, but to put it into perspective, ostriches can live for 40 years in captivity and some parrots can live to be 80 in captivity. But for a wild bird to live for 67 years is amazing.
change your RU-vid photo, coming from a straight guy. You'll just leave guys disapppointed when they actually meet you if your social media is the same
As a bird owner and a bird researcher, this bird is no where near the oldest bird since i have encountered a 102 year old bird, although they said might I understand. It is extremely incredible on the amount of fitness this bird has at its age ! My grandma had a 49 year old bird and it definitely still had its kid-teen like personality but it got gradually weaker. This is truly impressive on how fit it is!!
