Although I knew their music in the 70s from the Main Course & SNF albums, I was distracted away from the BeeGees in the 80s & 90s and never discovered their later works until 2023. The first ( & 2nd & 3rd) time I heard this song I Iiterally cried. It is my favorite song EVER and I listen to it often STILL! At least weekly. It is so soothing and beautiful. ❤❤❤
Welcoem to the by far biggest ‼catalogue in the whole music industry 1135 tunes ‼36#1 hits for them and other written by them - for one song per day you need three years ‼to check out the rabbit hole of the amazing songwriters Brothers Gibb 🤩 with Barrys legendary falsetto from another planet - only Paul McCartney wrote more bangers in history than Sir Barry
I have always been a huge BeeGees fan. I have been battling cancer for 16 years and still now on my bad days I put on one of their albums and drift away. Better than any medication. Absolutely love these men❤ They were truly a gift to the world
@LesDoesitAll-l8b back at you mate. I was given 3 months 16 years ago and still here. I already have my miracle. I have seen my 5 grandchildren grow. Love and light to you to mate🙏
Thank you for doing this song! Now stay in this Bee Gees rabbit hole. Back in the 70’s they were the MEGA STARS! They were the best. But they started in 1958-2003 so you have decades to go through. Yes, Barry was the lead. He led most of their songs in the 70’s and remember they wrote ALL their own music. Next up: either How deep is your love or Fanny Be Tender If you want something uptempo from them: Staying Alive or You Should Be Dancing
@@LesDoesitAll-l8bI have over 160 favorite songs by the Bee Gees. You could react to one a week and it would take you years to get through all of their great songs.
Great reaction to my Bee Gees. Get ready for that rabbit hole! Fanny, Words, Love So Right, Massachusetts, You Should Be Dancing, Nights On Broadway, and MANY more. They wrote over a thousand songs!
I listen to this song nearly every day and it never wears thin. The Bee Gees are the greatest ever. The way they moved with the times but always kept their original sound. A later beautiful song is I Could Not Love You More. But then there's also For Whom the Bell Tolls where Barry and Robin excel. Fanny be tender with my love is a fantastic 70s song. 50 years nearly of classic hits! Love your reactions 😊
You are so right. Kind of music that can make your day better. My way to destress. Such a beautiful song and they donated all proceeds to UNICEF. Barry is on lead in this one. Some other Bee Gee songs you will enjoy: Wind of change (1979), I Surrender, Love you inside out and Nights on Broadway (1975 midnight special). Love your reactions❤
What comes thru in all their music is they love what they are doing, its never been about the money. Barry is doing lead and Robin and Maurice are his twin brothers. They have been singing in harmony since childhood.
A little background. The brothers and their sister, Lesley (first born) were born on the Douglas, Isle of Man (between Ireland and England). Andy Gibb, the youngest brother was born in Manchester, United Kingdom, but when he was 6 months old, the family emigrated to Queensland settling on Cribb Island just north of Brisbane. They moved several times between Brisbane and Sydney, as their father found work. He was a drummer in a band. Barry Gibb (lead) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 54 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Robin (our left - long hair) and Maurice (pronounced Morris - on our right - short hair) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while getting surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by his wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestine problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by his wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He passed away from a bad heart. He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He was 12 years younger than Barry and they could have passed as identical twins. You know the song 'Emotion' sung by Destiny's Child? The brothers wrote the song (1977) for the singer Samantha Sang. Destiny's Child has too much drama in it. But Barry said he liked it. Emotion ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b_wTZjo9azk.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. Robin sings falsetto too. Their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two survivors of the family. (Their parents are deceased also.) Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry. I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I_izvAbhExY.htmlsi=7p2Pbvfime9eHGc-&t=1 How Deep Is Your Love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XpqqjU7u5Yc.htmlsi=TJzrh9ns2v1rUvnH You Should Be Dancing (Andy is with them in this video: from the movie Saturday Night Fever) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Auo29DPfZ2E.htmlsi=XevU5_t8wV8gQCBS&t=1 Spirits Having Flown ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WWBFpoErDCM.htmlsi=3mpRsV0a-kfCMDWX (Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away - Andy Gibb ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GKPHFRvl_F0.htmlsi=YX7AOu7CvB9DXKui&t=5 Bodyguard ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fx5XwIKCs3o.htmlsi=ZR3i-vkS0bTbUsMd You Win Again ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KZY9oYSSjFI.htmlsi=tNkXzwYEE2uOUi1I For Whom the Bells Toll ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jTowyYFXIUY.htmlsi=kqPuP-VmVOO8dkca One ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eP_a9XrHZgE.htmlsi=5RF5M5H_P1aXflUQ
Great reaction. Just subbed. For no good reason, I love watching young people freak out at the talent of these three perfect voices. The harmonies are heaven. Barry Gibb defined falsetto. And Bee Gees: best group ever. Best harmonies ever, best songwriters ever. 100 top 10 hits globally. First album in the 60s, last 2001. Mo died in 2003 Robin 2012. Just four years ago, Barry Gibb released a country duet tribute album. For the album he sang Bee Gees songs with Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, Olivia Newton John, Alison Krauss, Jason Isbell, Little Big Town, Sheryl Crow among others. Fantastic. He can still hit the high notes. He performed at the reputable Glastonbury Festival in 2017 on the legends stage. Even the security people were dancing along. Great stuff.
There brothers, it’s in there DNA to sound the and sing a like. And yes the middle guy is Barry and Maurice ( pronounced Morris) is his left with a beard and Robin is to his right no beard. They are a beautiful group listen to some of their early music.
Lyrics, melody and harmonies were written and sung by all three of them. Barry was the lead this time. However both of the twins had their share of solo's and leads too.
You are reacting just right to this song. You are correct, that is Barry. How deep is your Love would be a good one to do next because you would get to hear them use their lower registers.
Great reaction! You should check out “Fanny Be Tender With My Love”, “Nights On Broadway”, “Alone”, and “One” just to name a few. These brothers are amazing, wrote all their songs and many for other artist as well.
