I have honestly listened to reactions to this very song AT LEAST 40 times just because it's so much fun to watch the young kids (I'm 73) hear our music - really GREAT music - for the first time and to see them appreciate the raw talent. I used to be teased for loving the BeeGees, but no more. They are iconic, and had indisputable talent. Love them.
This has to be the best song out there for reaction videos. Never get tired of watching people blown away by their voices and I've watched a lot of reactions.
A FKN DEEP RABBIT HOLE TOO. The amount of artists theyve also written songs for the list is endless. Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Celine Dion to name a few
They are all three brothers. Oldest brother in the middle is Barry and Robin (no beard and fraternal twin ) Maurice (pronounced Morris). They wrote all their own songs. They all three have massive vocal range. You would enjoy Fanny be tender (with my love) , Nights on Broadway (1975 midnight special) and Wind of change (1979). Great reaction. They donated all proceeds from this song to UNICEF ❤❤
@@cindipossidento5688 I know so sad. Barry said he would give up all the hits, awards to have brothers still with him. Still such a sweet compassionate man
They produce this because they deep down love what they do, its never been about money. Barry Gibb lead and Robin and Maurice, his twin brothers have been singing harmony since childhood. Another Bee Gees song---FANNY BE TENDER WITH MY LOVE.
I was just 18 when this album came out back in 1979. The Spirits Having Flown album charted 3, no.1 songs. They are the first 3 tracks on this album. Tragedy, Too Much Heaven and Love you Inside Out. Back in those days there was no internet, no autotune, etc. You had to know how to sing and play your instrument or you would be done. I didn't think about it at the time, but I took for granted how great the music was then and just how very talented these musicians were. It can't be understated. The Bee Gees are legendary. You have picked one of the best acts in music history to jump into. Enjoy the ride. I know I have. 👍
Barry, the oldest, singing in his falsetto voice, hes been married 54 years this year and Ohh man..I can imagine hes singin' to his Woman!..Lovely Absolutely!..:) thanks for the reaction vid dude!..Peace*
Yes! This is the song you play for your girl…. Dinner, candles, dim the lights, a little wine, a little slow dancing…. One of my favorite Bee Gee’s songs!!!
These 3 brothers were on another level! I've listened to them since the s960's and have loved them always ... especially Barry (like every other woman I knew!" They donated all proceeds from this song to UNICEF and it's still receiving funds to this day, I believe!
He was also singing this to his wife that was sitting down in front of him. They have been married now for i believe 54 years, and have 5 children. They also gave all of the proceeds from this song to UNICEF!
This is when romance was still king. 3 Brothers Gibb. Barry is eldest one in the middle, Robin, no beard and Maurice with beard. How Deep is your Love, Fanny be tender with my love, Jive Talking, Nights on Broadway, Love you inside and out, More than a Woman, You Should be dancing...these are just a few 70s hits over their nearly 50 year career. Oh and you'll know Staying Alive!
48 #1 Hits around the globe for them and others, Barry, Robin and Maurice was a gigantic force of Songwriting and hitmaker banger machine for more than 50 years - incomparable, unmatched and a world treasure, welcome to the deepest rabbithole and the thickest catalogue of the music industry 🕺🔥🤩
Barry has not died lives mostly in Miami, FL and is still married to Linda, they celebrated their 54 wedding anniversary on 9/1/2024, which was also Barry’s 78 birthday.
I grew up with the BeeGees. When one of their songs came on you knew who was singing. They wrote all their music. They’re inducted into the Writers Hall of Fame and Rock in Roll Hall of Fame. The one in the middle Barry is the only one living. You have to listen to Staying Alive. ❤️
I was born in 1964 the last year of the Baby Boomers. The Bee gees are my favorite group and Elvis is my favorite singer. The Bee Gees or Brothers Gibb. Please react to the Bee Gees song Fanny Be Tender With My love.
I was born in 1964 also, what a great time to be alive and experience all these wonderful songs in the 70s, 80s in real time!! I always say I was born at the right time. Happy 60th to you!!😊
So you mean that "Back in the day-you had to relay on talent". J. S. In my opinion, there's a universal truth when it comes to true love. When you get older and you will; if you human, you will never forget the one-with great life saving memories to greatly appreciate such a song. I'm 65 and never forget my girlfriend whom unfortunately passed away in 2003. I think of her when I personally hear this particular song. For me, it😂keeps me strong and I hope others will appreciate it as well. 😊. ✌️.
@schuyler_reacts I just subscribed to your station! This song was the 5th of the 6 straight number 1 songs in a row by the brothers. They were: 1. How Deep is Your Love 2. Staying Alive 3. Night Fever 4. Tragedy 5. Too Much Heaven 6. Love You Inside Out Other fantastic songs by them that you have to do: Fanny Be Tender Jive Talking You should be Dancing Nights on Broadway Ironically, Barry…the lead on this song, has a deep chest voice. He’s using his falsetto voice in this song. His range was incredible. The Bee Gees wrote ALL their own songs as well as hits for others. And they were not only mega stars in the pop culture, they were big stars on Soul/R&B radio too. Barry is the only brother still living today. He celebrated his 78th birthday and 54th wedding anniversary on September 1, 2024.
Dive in to their huge catalog. You won't be sorry. Fanny Be Tender, Alone, To Love Somebody, Rings Around The Moon, Nights on Broadway,Jive Talking. To start with. 😊
The lead singer in the middle is Barry Gibb, the only brother still alive. I can recommend anything they've done, as they were an incredible group. One of my favorites is "How Deep is Your Love." Here's a short clip of them doing a verse of this live on a talk show about 20 years after it was a hit: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z04ZAJTwfKw.htmlsi=YgSRA4X3Qd2UJhg5
Every time I hear “How Deep is Your Love,” I smile because I immediately flash back to the episode of The Simpsons where Homer’s trying to do CPR and is told to do it to the beat of The Bee Gees (intending for him to use “Stayin’ Alive,” the ol’ chestnut a lot of EMS workers use to stay on beat for CPR), and instead he starts trying to do CPR to “How Deep is Your Love.” As a former EMT, this gives me a giggle every time. :) I will, however, totally second the recommendation of song, because it’s definitely one of their greats. My mom’s a big Bee Gees fan, so I grew up listening to a lot of their stuff (along with all the 70s and 80s greats).
You are hearing 27 different tracks on this recording! Barry did 18 alone. The brothers did three each then all three brothers did three together. Horn section is from the group Chicago.
Barry Gibb was the lead, here, he was the elder brother. Robin Gibb, in white, and his twin Maurice (Morris) also both sang lead and solo records. They were three years younger than Barry.
Members of the band Chicago recorded the studio track with them, but this is the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra backing them here. Over 1,000 songs...ENJOY!
I so enjoy younger generation appreciating the Bees Gees. Hoping your future reactions will refrain from overly stopping and restarting. Less fragmented listening will give you a fuller appreciation of the piece as a whole. You did have a good amount of smart.observations. Cutting the smaller reactions and replacing them with facial expressions while the music plays will better highlight your smarter observations that I mostly liked. Thank you for listening to The Bee Gees. I’ll look forward to your next Bee Gee reaction!
They have more than a thousand songs and they wrote all of them. They have hits in five different decades, crossing multiple genres. Check out How Deep Is Your Love
A little background. Barry Gibb (lead singer) On September 1, 2024, he celebrated his 78th birthday, along with his 54th wedding anniversary with his wife Linda. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. At the age of 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he didn't speak for a long time (close to 2 years.) He was close to dying because there was no skin grafting back then and gangrene was beginning to set in. Barry said he has no memory of it happening, just the scars to prove it on his torso and arm. One of his sons, Michael, was named after Michael Jackson. Barry did say that MJ was his son's Godfather. Robin (long hair) and Maurice (short hair) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while getting surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by his wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestinal problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by his wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb ** (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) ** He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. He had a bad heart. Andy is survived by one daughter. They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on the song (Nights on Broadway) Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. Robin sings falsetto too. Nights On Broadway ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UpJ9yMXgNvQ.htmlsi=jPTiDBrXXoMrlXdO In this video, Barry was singing the lead, and Maurice (black pants) sang the falsetto. On the studio album, Barry did the falsetto. On the other songs, Maurice brings the harmony. During a nine-month period, beginning in the Christmas season of 1977, seven songs written by the brothers held the No. 1 position on the US charts for 27 of 37 consecutive weeks: three of their own releases, two for brother Andy Gibb, the Yvonne Elliman single, 'If I Can't Have You' and the song "Grease", performed by Frankie Valli. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. (January 12, 1945.) She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two surviving members of the family. Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. I recommend the following songs: (I know it's a lot.) Staying Alive ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I_izvAbhExY.htmlsi=7p2Pbvfime9eHGc-&t=1 How Deep Is Your Love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XpqqjU7u5Yc.htmlsi=TJzrh9ns2v1rUvnH You Should Be Dancing (Andy is with them in this video: from the movie Saturday Night Fever) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Auo29DPfZ2E.htmlsi=XevU5_t8wV8gQCBS&t=1 Spirits Having Flown ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WWBFpoErDCM.htmlsi=3mpRsV0a-kfCMDWX (Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away (Andy Gibb) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-flF5aU1iZFo.htmlsi=D5x0LGEUiwKgLdEC Bodyguard ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fx5XwIKCs3o.htmlsi=ZR3i-vkS0bTbUsMd You Win Again ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KZY9oYSSjFI.htmlsi=tNkXzwYEE2uOUi1I Secret Love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iVseOSFTGAw.htmlsi=5DFjJ0rTH1_6GvEw F
One of my Bee Gee favorites: You Win Again. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GUYpasCfUU4.html (I believe one of their last hits that came out in the 80's)
Fanny be tender with my love .. I would love to see your reaction to this as I really enjoyed your reaction to too much heaven, which is one of my favorites. They wrote that song in one day along with two other songs.
It is a reaction channel. It is expected for him to pause every once in awhile and give a comment. If you want to hear the entire video without anybody talking over it go to the official music video.
Thanks, Schuyler - any one of those bros could hit most of the notes any day of the week - lol... this is not "exactly live" - but more like "live in the studio" - definitely no such thing as autotune... Hope you react to more.. I'll second some of the others' suggestions.. especially those featuring Robin (this is Barry on the lead, who usually took that position).. give them a chance.. you won't be disappointed - lol
Been listening to the Bee Gees since 1968, before they used their falsetto voices. How to Mend A Broken Heart, I Started A Joke, Fannie Be Tender With My Love, Massachusetts, and many more. They have an older sister who sings too, but wanted to be home for her family. They also had a younger brother Andy who also sang. Andy had a solo career because the older brothers were already established when he started. Andy was getting ready to join his olders brothers, when he passed away at 30 years old. Barry the oldest is only surviving brother.
All of them! React to ALL The Bee Gees songs! LOL But also, for more "waiting in line", please react to the video Be With You, from Mr. Big. I think you're going to like it too!
This style of music was typically referred to as baby making music, for obvious reasons. And the Bee Gees, that’s the name of the group, produced some of the best baby making music. The number of people who were likely conceived to this, or another, of their songs is incalculable. Only Barry White might have a similar count.
Just subbed. You can't go wrong with the Bee Gees. You should be dancing with youngest brother Andy is fire 🔥. Please check out April Wine..Roller. Great reaction and Peace ✌️ ☮️🙏
You really need tovreact yo: "Love Inside Out" "Live so right" and "Fanny be Tender with my Love." So much more. The falsettos on thise sings are crazy Good.
