Cars with high boost pressure actually run better in the winter, especially diesels, the air is more dense and humid in winter, only problem is tyre temperature and grip, brakes cool down alot faster too in cold weather which means less brake fade when your rallying through country lanes...also the clutch and turbo is alot less likely to overheat in the winter.
I keep coming back to this video - never fails to bring a smile to my face. The car is insane and the moments where you’re just in awe/taking the whole thing in at certain times just makes it. A proper honest and enjoyable video.
I think this is one of the coolest modified cars in the country, love seeing this up at Combe! Big power, lightweight, AWD with a sorted box and front and rear diffs! Big up the old school tuner builds Dave! :-)

@Joel Berry Not saying i agree with the pricing but they're not making any more are they. They'll always hold that nostalgia for the generation that grew up with the posters on the wall and as such the price will likely remain high, though I do feel it will level off. 45k for a current minter
@Joel Berry that bubble aint gonna pop lol the end of production petrol and diesel cars is just on the horizon lol and you think the price gonna go down. 😂😂 they are only going to get more expensive as time goes on and some cars get even more rarer. even lil cars that might be common rust buckets today might become rare and collectable because of the end of petroleum fueled cars.
@Joel Berry They arent over the top in price i dont believe. If you converted the price of one of these new into todays money it's probably 50k plus, so a nice clean low mileage one i see no reason why it shouldnt be worth more than that as there are far less of them around now than when new.
@Bat man here in the uk the ban on petroleum fueled production cars comes into effect by 2031. theyll be no more production diesel or Petrol powered cars allowed to be made after 2031. thats 11 years away. the aim is to go zero emissions by 2040. that means the end of hybrids by 2040 because they still have a petroleum fueled engine. they want totally zero emissions electric cars by 2040 2050

Great video, definitely prefer the other format though. This one feels a bit ‘rushed’. Not rushed as in the quality, but when you’re watching it you feel rushed, like a lot going on. Great work though 👍🏼

@ Zain K Yeah I think they were supposed to be 220ish BHP from factory 0-60 in 5.5 secs, so something like a Ferrari 348 wouldn't have been much quicker. It's the fact they were detained rally cars built for the road, so their potential has always been massive, as this car proves

Michael Zak exactly! These old YB engines are legendary for big power...I can’t remember seeing a cosworth with a turbo this big. And it’s built to run and handle the power, head work big pistons rods. All these dsg Audi’s look too easy to drive this thing scared the shit out of Ricky enough said
It’s not just different dynos giving different results even looking at 2 cars that are 500bhp... if one peaks out at 4k rpm and tails off towards higher revs and one comes in later but increases and peaks towards the limiter it will feel/pull/accelerate so much better throughout the gears.

You can just tell this guy knows his onions. Long time honed machine. It sounds amazing and very solid. I bet it’s been a lot of trial and error but when you find a good engineer / engine builder - this is the result. Sooo fast!!
I think most people who have owned RS's years ago regret selling them as there all worth loads now. I regret when I was selling my mk1 Focus RS back in 2005 for £17k, a guy wanted to swap his 50k mile 3 door Sierra Cosworth plus £8k in cash for my FRS and I kindly rejected because the Sierra was to old for my liking!! That 3 door is probably worth £25k+ now!!!
